Phentermine (Adipex, Ionamin, Duromine)
SummaryPhentermine is a prescription appetite suppressant. It is one of the two ingredients in Fen-phen. DescriptionPhentermine comes as either a quick-acting drug (Adipex) or a time-release drug (Ionamin or Duromine). It is generally only prescribed to people who are morbidly obese and thus are have health risks because of their weight. Phentermine affects the neurotransmitters in your brain, causing stimulation which your brain responds to by turning off the hunger sensation. Generally, patients only receive Phentermine for up to 12 weeks. Longer term use is not encouraged due to the issues of a tolerance reaction. Phentermine may become less effective over time, thus it's best not to use it for too long. HistoryPhentermine was one of the two drugs in the infamous Fen-phen (which was withdrawn from the US market after it was linked to heart-related illnesses and deaths). But, it was Fenfluramine that was the problem with Fen-phen. So, Phentermine is still available. CriticismPhentermine acts like an amphetamine and thus can be addictive. Because of this, it is a controlled substance. Phentermine is linked to insomnia and may cause blood pressure and heart rate to increase. Essentially, it's a stimulant and has all the side-effects (both negative and positive) of one. Now I am trying the organic kind called Phenterex but just started so I haven't seen any results yet. I'd like to know if anyone has had any results with the organic kind. This drug is the pharmacuticle equilivilent to SPEED, there's very little difference between the two, the only real difference is DUROMINE is cleaner than the speed you can find on the street. | Kelly | posted 11-Feb-2007 12:09am There are so many side effects with duromine and its equivilents, Heart attack, arythmia, psycosis, addiction, sleeplessness, dizziness, excessive sweating mania and stretch marks (when you lose weight that quickly your body goes into shock)... the list goes on and on, ITS NOT A SAFE WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT, it's intended for short time use only. The bad out ways good in regards to this drug, even if your doctor does prescribe this for you, they will no doubt cease the prescriptions after a few months (if they are a decent doctor) leaving you addicted to them and struggling to keep the weight off, trust me, it will only pile back on twice as much and twice as fast once you stop. Its really not worth the health risks and the strech marks. The ONLY way to lose weight is through diet and exercise, it sucks i know, but its the truth. AND if you care at all about your health (let alone that of your child) you WONT TAKE THEM!! TRUST ME IVE BEEN THERE.........ITS NOT WORTH IT |
| Anonymous | posted 15-Feb-2007 8:26pm i used the pill but noticed that i could not sleep very well. i did not know it was a side effect so i know i am not making this up. it really decreased my appetite and made me feel like i was on an "upper." i don't like the feeling of drugs so even though it was a VERY productive month for me, i stopped taking this pill. the deal breaker for me was the inability to get deep sleep like i normally do. i'd like to lose the 20 lbs but i value my sleep more. |

The first day I had so much energy and a sense of well being that I had never felt before. I was instantly hooked. However, that was drastically reduced on day two and gone by day three. I was highly disappointed those feelings went away, but it has deffinately been a success for me. I think the biggest change is I DON'T THINK ABOUT FOOOD. All my life I have struggles with weight and it seemed thoughts of food were constantly on my mind. This medication has releived me of that burden. I feel free! I have not had any problems other than constipation, but I had that before taking the Rx it is just a little worse now. My doctor wonderful and treats obesity as a disease, like high blood pressure or diabetes. I love it and tell everyone I meet! |
| Anonymous | posted 27-Feb-2007 2:00pm i took phen and lost 40lbs in 3 months, currently i still have been able to maintain the weight off taking Phen only when i go to the gym (i can go weeks with out taking the pills and with no problems), also maintaining a strick diet, this are not miracle pills, you need to work out and eat right once you have done it for a couple of months your whole mentality about food and excersice changes from being a "must do" to an enjoyment. since i lost all that weight i dont look at food the same way, i enjoy more knowing i have a nice body than eating a cheesburger just for that heck of it. in regards of the pills side effects you should know ahead of time if you suffer from high blood preasure, heart attacks in the family etc. if you have them dont risk it and dont take the pill. if you have addictive tendencies also do not take the pills |

When I decided to try the phentermine (dr. prescribed) I was a little concerned. It was not like taking over the counter diet pills that make you really hyper from caffine. This did give me more energy but in a positive way. I really felt in control of my hunger which helped me to make healthier food choices instead of letting my cravings control me. It also made me "feel" like exercising which is amazing because I hate exercise. I only had 32 lbs to lose to my ideal weight. I lost 26 lbs in the first 2 months so I quit taking them. Hubby felt that was enough and didnt want me on them very long. I have been off 2 months and have continued my good habits. I still have good control over my appetite etc. I have only lost 3 lbs in the last 2 months though and that is disappointing. But atleast I havent gained! I figure if I lose a pound a month I will be at my goal soon enough. I think this is a good diet product to take if you are under a doctors supervision and dont have any health risks. Better this than all the over the counter junk without supervision that most the time doesnt work. I tried a green tea type of diet pill from the health food store... oh my gosh! never again! I felt like I was going crazy for 5 hours until it wore off. And to the one who lost her uncle due to a heart attack induced by phen, Im so sad to hear that. My sincere sympathy. But I do think that someone would either have to have a heart problem or be taking much more than the amount prescribed for that to happen. I do know it is true that the effect of added energy wear off after youve taken them for a while for me it was a month or so. So I can imagine some people would be tempted to take more and more to get that feeling back. Maybe that happened. But the positive effects on the appetite did not diminish after time. | Anonymous | posted 11-Apr-2007 10:28pm I've been taking Duromine for about 2 weeks now on a semi-strick diet and I've lost about 8 pounds without exercising. I'd recommend it to anyone. I have not had any side effects from it besides cotton mouth. A bottle of water has become practically glued to my hand. Everyone's body is different, the experience for one may not be the same for another. I've been able to sleep fine. They don't give me any excess energy. I don't feel any effects when I take the pill besides my decreased appetite. I don't have the cravings for fattening foods anymore e.i. McDonalds..I don't even crave soda which I was practically addicted to before. Calling Duromine the equivilent to Speed is a bit dramatic. Any person with common sence would know to stop taking the pill if they have an increased heart rate/blood pressure. As I said it depends on each persons body. It comes highly recommended from me. |

I also developed high blood pressure, depression and anxiety, lost a lot of my vision in my right eye (possibly due to a light stroke according to the doctor), quit my job after 17 years while having a nervous breakdown and ended up in the local mental health facility thanks to this drug. | Anonymous | posted 27-Jun-2007 6:18am First off, I'll reiterate what's been said above regarding the pregnant mom--DON'T TAKE IT WHEN PREGNANT. Phentermine (and most prescriptions and OTC's) go right into your baby's blood. You'll have the phentermine equivalent of a crack baby and the child would probably be predisposed to addiction problems. It affects brain chemicals which early in a child's development could cause imbalances that I know as a father I'd never allow. Also, not only shouldn't you take phentermine (or similar medications, amp prototypes or other diet pills, OTC or not--if you have high blood pressure. These drugs are adergenic and raise blood pressure. Not only is blood pressure an issue, but you can also get heart murmurs, valve problems, heart murmurs...or worse. Doctors will ONLY prescribe it after proper bloodwork and regular physical exams before and during use of the drug. They will also check to see if you have a history of drug/alcohol abuse. It's really effective for weight loss for the vast majority of patients, especially where there is an eating disorder involved. It is really important to learn to train yourself to eat a properly balanced diet and get in the habit of regular exercise while on the drug if it is the right drug for you. Since it's an amphetamine class drug, it has abuse potential as many people already know. For the person that said that they get anxious just from coffee but were fine with phentermine, there's a good reason for that. At proper doses it makes you feel good or at least 'ok' because ITS FROM THE AMPHETAMINE CLASS. I know from personal experience because I have anxiety problems and can't have a cup of coffee without getting a panic attack. One last thing that I think might be useful to a lot of people (then I'll get off of my soapbox)  I only learned relatively recently from a new GP (a really good one, top of Harvard med) that FRUIT JUICES (not just fruit cocktails) should be avoided from your diet or at least used in moderation. There is a lot of sugar in fruit juice, not just fructose (the natural fruit sugar) but also glucose (table sugar), especially in fruit cocktails. Grapefruit juice (no added sugar only) is recommended not just for the vitamin C and 'grapefruit' diets but also because it contains a good amount of potassium which is essential for good cardiovascular health. Just make sure that if you are on medications it's not contraindicated (there are a few meds where you should avoid grapefruit juice).I wanted to |

I ordered it again after taking a break from it because without it, I was losing at a snails pace and needed a boost. This time, however, I got a blue and white capsule. Both were supposedly 37.5 mg, but it one less potent? I haven't taken the capsules yet...I wanted to look into it further, as I was expecting the same pill as last time. Is there a difference in effectiveness of the different types, even if they're the same strength? |

I have been on adipex (generic)the fast acting kind, for just over a week. It's working well but it doesn't last anywhere close to all day for me. I'm currently taking 1/2 the 37.5 mg pill in the morning and then 2nd 1/2 the pill in the afternoon. I'm wondering if changing brands next time would help. I know there is some difference with time released pills over fast acting but I wondered if anybody else out there has had this situation and how they dealt with it. |

If your one of those people who cant handle anxiety I woulndt recommend taking it or at least take half the dose because when i first take it I have SSOOO much energy but when it wears off i have anxiety and depression and this happened my first day of taking it. When I was younger I took it and it worked and didnt give me ANY bad effects so I dont know if its my age or hormones or what but i can't handle anxiety which is given to me by the pill . But I really want to shed some pounds and have already tried with diet and excersise alone with no success so I am going to just take half the dose and try to bear with the feelings for a few more weeks. &heartsnikki |

You need to be monitored regularly by a Medical Doctor. everyone responds to medication differently. Don't mess around with your health!!!!!! Hope that helps |

| chacha | posted 4-Sep-2007 12:22am hi there ive been taking duromine 30mg for 2 weeks now the first few days i couldnt sleep but now i can, i dont think about food at all but i still make myself eat i dont have time to excercise as ive just had a baby 8 weeks ago and had to have a c-section im also taking a couple of diffrent types of antibiotics to help clear the wound, so far i havent lost any wieght i just have head ache now and then sometime have lots of energy then latar i the day i feel like crap really low i have 30kg to lose and finding its all very depressing, ive got a 3month script im going to try stik it out and c if it works hopfully i dont get to moody. p.s at nite wen my babie wakes i dont have the energy to get out of bed i feel very drained. |

And, yes I lost 40 lbs but I damaged my heart and now I get palpitations all the time and am chronically anxious (I blame Phen Fen). Ask any doctor - these pills are not safe. I had to force myself to eat.. As a result of not eating, I had headaches. I did not feel jittery, but a calm force of energy... I had constipation too!~!! That was a bummer for me because I HATE being constipated! lol... However, this drug does work... After I stopped taking the pill, my stomach must have shrunk, but I did not want to eat large portions they way I had wanted to before. I made the right food choices and maintained a regular exercise schedule... If you are looking to lose weight, and are radically committed, this is a good drug to try, lose the weight, then get off of!!! The last thing you want to obtain from this is an addiction!!! The lady who took it for years, and lost her job, and ended up in a mental facility, had problems BEFORE she took this drug.. Some people look to point the blame on anything.. I have no problems falling asleep at all. I have water through the day and am on a meal a day . I was 87.7 kgs on 31/12/07 and 6 days down 84.6Kgs. I wanted to add mt 2 cents as I have not felt any of the so called side effects . However I do have a Question! Is there a particular diet and excercise program to follow when on duromine ? Do we have to workout more on duromine to make the results faster? Thanks. I Doc advised my that 12 weeks course should have u seeing results in 2 weeks if u pay key attention to your diet . |

Suffering from the dry mouth, but since it makes me drink more water I dont mind. Also, its amazing how it put me in a good mood-I think because I have so much energy...finally. (With tottlers, I am usually drained). I feel tired at bedtime, and easily fall asleep, however, it is not a deep sleep and I wake several times during the night. I do not have tremors, or feel edgy as I have felt in the past with other drugs like ephedra. I have not experienced constipation, but have bad cramps when I do have to "go". I only take 1/2 of the tablet, because at the beginning, I was afraid to take the whole thing. I wanted to kind of feel it out and see how it would make me feel. 1/2 of a tablet really seems to do the trick. Alot of doctors will prescribe it for you if you ask. I asked my GYN, and he wrote the prescription without hesitation. I would recommend this instead of buying on line. Best of luck to everyone. |

I understand that you are suppose to take the whole pill....(like its huge to begin with)....but i started taking half of it....and it seems to do the trick....it supresses my eating habits as if i were to take the whole pill.... recently I also broke my finger....i got really sick with fever like symptoms....and being on the pill didnt help matters...so i stopped taking the pill for a little while and that is when decided to cut back on the pill after i fully recovered. i felt like the pill made my symptoms of being sick worse. my headaches were stronger, my neck started to have pains and my throat felt not only dry but smaller...if that makes sense...like it was closing in on me...after i got well i continued the pill and so far so good....is there a problem taking only half of the pill? if anyone can shead any light on this i would really appreciate it. I'm also 5'6. my top weight when I was pregnant was 196lbs. After she was born my weight dropped to around 150lbs. So pre-pregnancy I wore a size 7. Then we had financial troubles, moved back in with my parents. That was a year and 2 months ago. My deoression meds aren't working, prevent me from a job and I know my daughter needs a better mother. However, my biggest problem is my self esteem and running into people that I know. Now the grand finally of my story. I have balloned to 223lbs and I where a size 22!!! I looked great But the sleepless nights but now I've gained the weight again due to myself was not looking after myself now I am about to beggin to take it again I advice people to take only for three months because you need to work with so you can keep the weight off it is not the cure but it can help you get started. Phen-Fen first of all, is NO LONGER AVAILABLE! There is a reason for this, obviously you know because you took it. It gave people heart problems. Phetermine(Phen)is still available because it does NOT cause heart problems. Phentermine is one of the inredients in Phen-Fen, the other is Fenfluramine (Fen) and that is the ingredient that caused the heart problems. So, they did away with it. Phentermine is not shown to cause heart problems in anyone, not to mention it works wonderfully!! To the people out there that bash diet pills, well I have this to say. Phentermine makes you want to excercise and drink lots of water and not eat too much. It is just an aid to help people that need help. What is so wrong with that? |

Like that is an easy thing to do or something. There is only one thing, dont take phentermine if you have high blood pressure, it could raise your blood pressure because it is an amphetamine. |

The white tablet with blue specks is the 37.5mg and it is not extended release. I found in the past that the 30mg works the best even though it is supposedly not as strong. I was striving very hard to find the 30mg blue and clear capsules without a prescription and I finally did through the website I mentioned above. They tend to cost almost twice as much, so others must like them better too. I have heard of folks losing alot with the Fastin (white with blue specks tablet) but I will stick to what I know!! |

| jennifer | posted 20-Feb-2008 11:38am i have been taking adipex for almost 2 weeks. i have had 2 c-sections in less than 19 months. i have a big belly and i always want to eat and snack and i eat too much at one time. adipex has helped soooo much and i never want to snack and i eat small portions at meals. sometimes i never eat dinner and i feel fine. and that's good for me not to eat late at night. i felt like it worked the first day i took it because i looove food and this has changed my apetite completely. i don't know if i've lost weight, i don't have a scale. but i don't want to know for a while. it seems to mess with my head a little. i get confused some and feel like duh? =) it's ok though. nothing major. and if it will help me lose weight it will be well worth it. i take green tea tablets too. i don't know if that will help it more or slow it down. some days i don't take them though. adipex is wonderful. |

I lost 10 pounds and had energy! Food was no problem because you're not hungry! Nobody questioned those things because if your doctor prescribed it, we thought it was safe. I remember the tabs were in 3 layers of white, white with blue specks and light orange (not capsuules). I honestly can tell you my daughter was born healthy (8 lbs, 10oz). She was beautiful. She excelled in school, got straight A's in high school and got a scholarship to Occidental College after graduation. She now is married has a three year old daughter that is normal, healthy and smart and also beautiful! This was only MY experience and TRUE. I don't think any doctor would prescribe it now. Maybe there are studies on this, I don't know. I didn't want to stop taking it but I was very thin after I had my baby and really there was no use for them any more. I never regained the weigh. PS. In those days they believed the placenta 'filtered out' all bad things so the fetus would not be exposed to it. Good Luck to All. |

However you need to take this drug with great caution and care. | Backwards | posted 10-Apr-2008 12:25am I have been taking Duromine 40mg for nearly 2months and for the first day i felt horrible, but i HAD to get up and start doing something. Once i did i couldnt stop cleaning the house. I drank 5litres of water the first day! Had dry mouth which has gone now. It has made me not even think of food, but i wasnt a big eater anyway, an i dont eat sweet things. But after 2-3wks of cleaning, being active all day without getting tired or fatigued it just stopped. :( i lost 5kg in the first 4wks. When i started it after 4 kids, i am 168cm tall an when i started i weighed 82kg. . Now im 77kg but i dont feel active at all, dont feel motivated, nothing at all :( im so hurt. Cos Ive always had a high metabolism but since having my son a yr ago an having 2 pregnancies in a row i have been basically stuck in bed most of the 2yrs. The Duromine helped to start with i zip soooo happy! Now i feel back to square one! Im use to being 52kg, im 25yrs old an want to be 58kgs thats my goal. What am i going to do now??? :( i have no energy even taking Duromine. I dont have any horrible side affects, when i first started i had trouble sleeping for a week or so, eg, waking up alot. But i still dont want to eat much, i drink water a little but i dont have motivation to do anything! :( i have anxiety bad, but thankfully Duromine didnt make it worse, i was sacred. I did go through a stage where i felt all over the place and mood changes(mostly unsure of what i was feeling) but that settled. . Can anyone give advice on this? I really want energy. Motivation. An to get back to where i was. :( has anyone had this? I dont feel im losing weight anymore :( an with a low income its hard to pay 130dollars a month for Duromine. The only thing it does at moment is keep me awake during the day, but like i said, i have no will to do ANYTHING! Please help. . . :( |

It is a speed and your heart will race, you can feel jittery, clinch your jaw and feel anxious as well as maybe some light headiness at first, after the first few days your body adjusts and most of the symptoms calms down. You won't feel like eating, but make sure you force yourself into a certain amount of good food choices, fruits and drink plenty of water. Try to stay away from anything caffinated, you don't want to add to the already speedy feelings. I have had good results so far losing around 4lbs in a week which is a little more than average, but not crazy dropping. I only plan on using them for a short spell since I did most my weight lost the old fashion way and am only using these for those last hard 10lbs to my goal weight. My advice is act as if your doctor prescribed them, read up on the medication and indications and follow it as gospel and do not stay on it anymore than 3 months. This is a medicine used as a kick start or helper, not a lifestyle. After you lose the weight it's up to you to maintain it with good eating habits, exercise, etc. It's not a miracle drug, but it is a good one if used properly for the purpose it was intended. Ate due to my divorce, missing my kids, wife being ugly despite what i do, and so on. I'm ready to become whole again and be 50lbs lighter. I have tried numerous times to do this without a pill but no luck - Atkins diet, south beach, and old fashion workout 90 mins a day with P90SX, but still will not work. I get so hungry for ice cream and junk or the 2 lb salad of just healthy stuff. Of course you can eat salads but you can not go over 3 lb per day. I only use vinager and olive oil for dressing - no bread or crutons. Oh well, everyone is taking Phentermine off the market, but the drug is good for people who are responsible with the med like me. It is suppose to be phentermine 37mg pill, but it puts me to sleep. I already gained 9lbs since being on the pill. You can buy these for 25$ per 30pills in your local pharmacy or 130$ web. But they don't work. Just a warning. Go to wwwdrugdigestorg and you can find a picture of all phentermine pills. Don't ask me why duromine is not on there??? |

| Ally | posted 6-May-2008 10:24pm I took Adipex after my son was born and lost a good 30 lbs. Now Adipex does work. You will loose the weight. Some of the side effects are: the first day I take it I have to take half pill or I feel like I have been hit by a Mack truck. After my body evens out. You get extremelly dry lips (its kind of your build in reminder to drink lots of water). Also it can cause insomnia. Now any reputable doctor will tell you that you cant take adipex for more than 4 months at a time because it can cause drug enduced schizoprenia (sp) and a bunch of other nasty side effects. So use it for 2-3 months. Stop for a couple months and then go back to it. But never use it more than 6 months. |

If you order online you run the risk of getting a fake/weak batch. I know how it affects my body because I have takne it before. My friend had ordered hers online and I took one of her pill and it didnt do nothing to me. No wonder she wasnt loosing. 3. Easiest way to find a doctor in your area that prescribes adipex is to go on craigslist. Seriouslly. | question Ally | posted 6-May-2008 10:52pm Interesting but getting a prescription is the hardest thing. Doctors are nervous about prescribing this pill and I don't know why. They also freak out when your blood pressure is above 120/80 which is crazy. FIRST, if you are over weight, then your blood pressure is already high. SECONDLY, add in that this drug raises your blood pressure and DRs get crazy about that on your next visit. So my biggest problem, if the patient understands the risk, why doctors won't just let the patient do it? In the end it should be the free will of the patient (as long as their are signs of medical need - over weight) not medical ethics or worry over losing their license. I highly suggest you consider yourself very lucky in finding a doctor! In a few years, you will come to that conclusion. Everything changes around the legal system. |

It seems to affect everyone a little different. It curves my appepite for the most part but I will fall asleep fine and wake three hours later and will be awake for two to three hours. I have also been having alot of headaches which is not common for me. It is not for everyone but it works for me just with major side effects. |

I should be able to reach my goal by the end of summer.But when I take the pill I dont be hungry but I usally keep a slim fast bar or special k bar around for a snack and lots of water because the pill gives you cotton mouth. If you post negtive comments about him on these forums they usually ban you from posting and black list your ip address. There are people out there like crazy "lost my job, lost my life" lady but as long as you use something in moderation and get checked every month to monitor your progress and health, it shouldn't be an issue. I had tried everything but after breastfeeding for over a year my metabolism was gone. There is no magic pill, but with lower caloric intake and a lot of exercise, Adipex can certainly help. |

They are both Phentermine but duromine is a sustained release meaning it works all day and the 37.5's are immediate release. Also wanted to say that if you happen to have not gotten an answer from an email you sent them to email them again because I got a message that they were out of town a few days ago but are back now. It is all about personal preference on which one you choose. |

It didn't because of all the breast feeding my metabolism was dead. ADIPEX is not the answer yes it helps, but I maintain 1500 calories a day and work out 4 times a week. I agree with "the truth", don't get on some pill thinking it is the answer A LOT of hard work goes along with it.... |

They got back to me very quickly, exchanged several emails re pricing: Duromine capsules 30 mg or Phentermine tablets 37.5 mg- $150.00 plus $5.00 flat shipping. They are in the US and will provide a tracking number once shipped. They were very responsive until I placed the order thru Alert Pay last Wed evening. Said they had to shut down their Pay Pal account. Last Thurs, they confirmed which I wanted, to which I responded, they said no problem, and not a word since. No responses to two emails sent subsequently inquiring as to shipping (if signature will be required) and if a tracking number is available yet (sent today). It has not yet been a week but obviously I am a little concerned. Allpillsrx are said to be another scam place according to various websites (and apparently are the same company as Pricepills, they share the same phone number); however, they shipped the same day my order was placed and I had the package the same week. Those, however, are not Phentermine, although they resemble, I took them for a week and they did absolutely nothing, and I've requested a refund. I hope fenme2008 is just busy and hasn't had time to respond to my emails although they were immediately responsive to the previous ones sent between last Monday and last Thursday. Also to L.A the reason that they may not have responded is because they live in Florida where the hurricane hit last week. As well, I'm sure everyone here knows that this is a huge money-making scam; thus, it is understandable that when there is absolutely no contact whatsoever in one week (since last Thurs), regardless of the reason, that one starts to have doubts. I went to a diet clinic yesterday and got a prescription for phen 30mg.. i took one today, had my 40mins daily brisk walk. I was slightly hungry this morning so i had a fruit and fibre cereal with just skimmed milk, no sugar. So far i have a bloated / full feeling and i am hopeful. My concerns however is that i eat even when i m not hingry so if this is just to supress hunger, will it work for me? i am trying to stay focused so that i dont binge eat.. I am considering speaking with my GP to ask maybe i can have the balloon surgery .. you know the 6months type.. will keep u posted.. |

I do believe this is the real deal bec real Phentermine contains Hydrochloride (HCL) which is what makes it soluable in your stomach. HCL is bitter. Without HCL, it may contain Phentermine but if it doesn't contain HCL, then it won't work. This source is legit. My faith has been restored (and yes, Allpillsrx refunded my prior purchase but still waiting for it to credit back to my credit card account). Good luck to everyone~ |

I took the Phen blue/white capsules several years ago and really wanted to stick with capsules since that's what I knew, but since they were out of Duromine, I went with the Phen tablets. I started on 9/4. It's now 9/10 and I've lost 4 lbs. I only have 20 lbs that I want to lose. Before, I lost 14 lbs in 4-5 weeks. From what I understand, Duromine is the same thing, works the same way, but in capsule form (it's like a gray/red capsule, I think) and marketed in a different region. You can see it at phenterminedotcom. I've read that the tablets that are white with blue specks and marked A 159 suck, but the ones I've got are working great. Good luck! |

I really only have 15 lbs that I NEED to lose but then there's those 10 lbs that I've BEEN or am always trying to lose, and I know I can lose 20 lbs (or close to it) on Phentermine. At the very minimum, I believe I can lose 9-10 lbs. by 4 weeks. By 6 weeks, I believe 12-14 lbs. So I will probably need a second 30 day supply for a total of 60 days to achieve the weight goal that I want to be back at. But it definitely speeds up your metabolism and suppresses your appetite. In addition, I do work out 4-5 days per week (cardio) and I've been trying to eat right. The other thing I forgot to mention in my response to you before was that I believe Duromine capsules are time-released meaning it lasts longer and the 37.5 mg tablets are immediate release (I feel it within 30-40 min after taking it each morning). People have said that even though the capsules are only 30 mg that they're stronger and work better than the 37.5 mg. I don't know if that's the case with all capsules or just the Duromine capsules. I had taken the blue/white Phen capsules before, this is my first time taking the Phen tablets but they're definitely working. The only side effect is dry mouth and a little bit of insomnia only if I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom; otherwise, no problems falling asleep at bedtime. I'm hoping by 10/2 (4 weeks) that I'll be 9-12 lbs. lighter! 5 lbs. doesn't seem like a lot and they always say the first 6 lbs. are always water; Phen speeds up the weight loss but it's not so fast that it'll come right back (like the Hollywood Celeb Diet, I've done that and lost 7 lbs. in 48 hrs just to "cleanse" - like right after a vacation where you eat everything you can just bec you're on vacation) but it all comes back as soon as you eat a freakin' cracker! LOL!) |

Have you taken duromine before? It sounds like you are well on your way to losing weight though...i have abouther another 40 I want to lose LOL...i only use it after I have my kids..>I tend to gain alot when I get pregnant and it's hard to take it off afterwards for me. From reading the posts on this site, it's apparently marketed to Australia and New Zealand and doctors here aren't aware of it. I've never taken it but I have taken the blue/white phen capsules which is why initially I was interested in the Duromine bec it's also a capsule. But it was out of stock and I didn't want to wait another week. So I just went with the tablets bec, in the end, it's supposed to produce the same result and if it was legit, then it should work, and now that I see it's legit and works, I'm just going to stick with it in terms of my next order bec I don't think it's a good to switch (even if it's supposedly the same thing, just in a different form). From what I understand, it's just a personal preference. For me, the tablets are working and I was leery bec, again, I had only used the blue/white capsules before so I wanted to stick with what I knew. Then I read so many bad things about the tablets, how they were weak, they sucked, but then others said it worked for them. Then I got that fake batch from allpillsrx (they did refund my credit card) so I was worried that tablets just didn't work period. But, this source restored my faith. Again, you'll know if they're real if they are bitter to the taste. Don't chew it but you'll know as soon as you put it on your tongue to swallow. It's a NASTY bitter taste. That's the hydrochloride which is what makes it soluable in your stomach. Without it, it won't work even if it contains phen. (this only works with the tablet) I'm still curious about the Duromine too, but I want to keep it consistent so I'm going to stick with the tablets. I'll keep you posted with the "end result"! |

I had ordered from them on 8/11 and had the package on 8/15. I was out of the office that Friday when they were delivered (I thought it might have to be signed for) so I didn't start them until that Monday, 8/18. took them that week and they did nothing. No bitter taste. As you said, probably chalk. I stopped taking them after that week and requested the refund on 8/26 which was the following Tuesday. On 9/1, I received an email that the refund had been processed. I had problems emailing them. I emailed at the address on their site but it bounced. I had kept the original email they sent me confirming the order so I just hit reply and that one went thru. The refund email said 3-7 working days, up to 10 working days. I was at the 9th working day when I was about to go ballistic with them but then it occurred to me that I was checking the wrong Amex account. When it occurred to me and I checked the right one, I saw that the refund was posted on 9/1. Since 9/1 was Labor Day, it probably didn't actually show up on my Amex stmt until a day or two later. So, they were true to their word, I will say that- which is quite contrary to the posts I've seen from others on the internet who at six months had never received their orders or refund requests. If you read all of my posts since the end of Aug, you'll see that I had apprehensions as well. But the source I did get them from are the real thing. If you get tablets, you'll know they're the real thing bec they are bitter which comes from the HCL (hydrochloride) It's what makes it soluable in your stomach. Without it, the pill might contain phen but it won't work. I'm going on 2 weeks and I'm still ready to leap tall buildings in a single bound. These are definitely legit. NJ Gal- I have taken both 37.5 and duromine. If these are the A159, I would suggest them over the duromine. However, if they are the MP273, I would suggest duromine. I lost 15 lbs in a month on the A159 and 4 lbs in 1.5 weeks on the duromine (it was just a trial). |

Both MoneyGram and Western Union would not process the order for me without speaking to a customer service rep who VERY STRONGLY ADVISED NOT TO SEND MONEY TO THIS PERSON, THAT THEY AND MY BANK WOULD NOT REPAY THIS MONEY TO MY ACCOUNT. This tells me there has been a history of rip-offs associated with this site. Please be AWARE!! I emailed fenme2008 and asked for C.O.D. but no response. Funny, when I requested to order, they replied in a matter of minutes on how to send the money. That old saying, if it's too good to be true, it's probably not, rings true here for me. I'll keep my $300.00 and order from yguy. |

When new customers sign up with moneygram or western union for that matter and you send a payment with your credit card it is extremely common to have to call to verify the transaction. It is common procedure "we all learn it, and it is mandatory to say" when you call to ask if you know the person you are sending the money to and what the payment is for, as well as the fact that if the money is sent you will not be refunded by them. They are trying to help people avoid the scams like the Nigerion scams that seem to be traveling around these days. But funny enough you can go to to any Moneygram or Western Union location and send the money with no questions asked. One thing you might want to ask them is if they are in the United States or not. If you they are in the U.S then they must be verified with both places in order to recieve money on a regular basis. If they are then you are very safe because they take personal information and even fingerprints that they keep on file. I personally working there in the past do trust both places because I know a lot more then I did prior to employment there. MONEYGRAM AND WESTERN UNION DOES NOT HAVE A LISTING OF PEOPLE NOT TO SEND MONEY TO SO THAT IS FALSE. IF THEY SAID DO NOT SEND THE MONEY IT IS BECAUSE YOU STATED AN ANSWER THAT THEY DID NOT LIKE WHEN THEY ASKED YOU THE QUESTIONS AND THEY TOLD YOU THAT YOU WOULD HAVE TO FIND A LOCATION TO SEND THE MONEY INSTEAD OF ONLINE. I previously sent payment via Alert Pay but they're apparently too slow in sending the funds to the seller (and they do take about two weeks before calling to verify with the buyer that they authorized that transaction). I didn't want to deal with MoneyGram or Western Union bec of the fees so I actually sent well-concealed cash with delivery confirmation. They confirmed receipt of my payment and I have no doubt that I'll have my order this week. I can appreciate Andydog's fear of being scammed. At first, I had a bad feeling too so Debbie, thanks for clarifying the MoneyGram & Western Union info. :) Incidentally, I just found out that one of my coworkers has a friend who is taking Phentermine. She showed me the Phen capsules she got from Costco's Pharmacy. They are a blue oblong tablet with blue specks, scored in the middle, with the imprint 5030. I thought that was interesting bec I don't think I've read anything about anyone getting those.
