i've done this diet, but not to the full extent. I wouldn't even call it a diet really. If you look online, you can find an incredible amount of varieties of recipies. I have one that has alot of veggies in it, and it just tastes like vegetable soup, which is good, cuz i don't like cabbage. Eat it for lunch with an apple or something, and then have a little bowel with dinner, it fills you up and its really good for you. Use common sense people, eating any one thing for a week, especially caggage or veggies, is gonna make you sick. |

I tried this cabbage diet and lost7 pounds in a week,my mom tried it and lost weight too.Well probably for some people it may cause gas because all they were eating was junk food, but if you create a habit of eating healthy your metabolism adapts to it and won't cause "GAS" Daaaaaaa.... |

I LOVE this diet because it always prompts me to get started on longterm diet changes. I like the recipe that calls for balsamic vinegar and V-8 juice. I also add curry, garlic and chili powder. (Spices make a difference--whatever spices you want). The KEY to PREVENTING GAS: Do NOT EAT the SOUP and FRUIT/veggies at the SAME TIME!! (Causes fermentation or something??) For example, eat an apple/pear or "whatever" for "breakfast". Wait awhile, THEN have lots of soup for lunch. Then have your fruit or veggies a couple of hours later...and so on. I use half RED cabbage and half green most of the time. That may help, too. Check out the variety of cabbage soup recipes and experiment! This diet works and I feel GREAT on it. ( Although it's "prohibited", I've even cheated and had a beer or glass of wine at night and still lost the pounds). GOOD LUCK! |

I'm on day three of this "painful" regime. I have Type II diabetes right now. My meds consist of Levothyroxine (for thyroid goiter reduction) and Glucophage (aka metformin) for regulation of blood sugar levels. The cabbage soup tastes repulsive already. I'm lucky if I can chug down 2 bowls a day (I should be eating it more than twice I suppose...). I have to eat (what's requested) all day long on this diet, or I will pass out! I bought a variety of veggies and fruits. Avocados are fruit and filling, and butternut squash is a vegetable that fills you up as well. Other than that all the fruits and veggies need to be consumed in large quantities or you'll starve. The problem with that is, large quantities of them are not appealing, so you don't eat that much and end up literally STARVING on this diet.
I have NO idea how I'm going to make it on day 4, eating only banana's, milk and soup--I don't like bananas or cow's milk (I drink soy milk). Guess, I'll starve until it's time to eat some MEAT! Oh--and FORGET exercising, you'll surely pass out. I'm going to be pissed if I don't lose any pounds after 7 days of this crap. In fact, I'll be surprised if I even lose water weight. I though I'd give this a try to see if I could at least lose just ONE POUND. I need to see the scale numbers lowering...I need to get back on track. This diet should jump start me and my system for sure. YIKES! |

i am on day five of the diet. i have lost 3 kilos so far...the first 2 days are by far the hardest. i thought that day 4 would be the worst, but it really wasnt that bad at all. i excercise about 5 days a week usually, and i wouldnt recommend excercising on this diet- you really do feel like you have no energy. i am goin to stop doing it today...i think that the diet does work, but i just dont feel well after doing it. i would rather stick to eating healthy and being active than attempting this again. although its a good way to lose weight quick if you have something coming up (wedding, etc). |

I am on Day 4 of this diet.. Had really hard time for the first three days just having soup, veggies and fruits. I am not sure if I was not having enough of them, but was always hungry. Ironically, the soup made me even more hungry! But good news is I already lost 4 pounds.. I was actually thinking of giving up this today but looking at the diffrence in my weight, I got motivated to continue this diet for the rest of the days. I think it is definitely worth trying! |

I'm not doing the official diet, but I got inspired by all these "soup diet" ads, so I filled my fridge with fresh vegetables and started making soup. My diet variation is to eat as much soup as I want, most with chicken broth (I use Better Then Boullion stock), and some three or four vegetables, including green beans, zucchini, mushrooms, cucumbers, peas, carrots, and onions. I also throw in a small handful of chopped tofu, cooked rice, or even deli sliced turkey or roast beef, just to psych myself into thinking there's something more substantial in the pot, though it's just a couple tablespoons or so per bowl of soup. The night after my first day, I was going nuts at 3 am, desperate for my usual night-time snacks, so I made a pot of soup with just cabbage and broth -- NEVER AGAIN. I now have a head-and-a-half of cabbage in my fridge and no idea what to do with it, because no WAY am I eating any more cabbage soup. I was SO glad it was my day off the next day... Anyway, seems obvious that it would impossible to NOT lose weight on this diet, because basically it's got no calories. Just have to find fifty new ways to spice the soup so that you don't hate it after two days...! |

I have tried the soup myself. It does work!!! A year and a half ago, when I did it the first time, I lost 15 lbs. and kept the weight off for a few months (of course, adding some cardio and weight training.) I was 185 and dropped to 170. The only gained 4lbs. So, this past december 2007 I lost 9lbs. I was 174lbs and now I'm 165lbs. Tomorrow, I'll start the diet again and hopefully loose some more lbs. I want my weight to be between 155 and 160 - no more than 160. Trust me, it feels good. I had not been 165 in 5 years and now that Im' there all I want to do is loose a little bit more weight --- but trust me, it takes determination and some excercise. One thing I recommend is, take a multivitamine everyday of the diet. Oh, and only do it for 6 days. I've never done the 7th day and I've still achieved a good number of pounds shed. But again, I must admit, the soup gets kind of boring - but it's worth it. Drink lots of water and eat more melon and apple during your fruit day and cucumbers with lemon juice and tostito sauce during veggie day. Is not cheating, plus, tostito sauce only has 10 calories which will not hurt during the diet. Anyway, sorry for the long review, but I had to say it - it does work, but takes a lot of DETERMINATION - after the diet, just eat in small portions and excercise regularly to keep the weight off and perhaps lose a couple more pounds. Thanks! (Soup not intended for children under 18 or people over 40) |

I did this diet once for 12 days and lost 7kgs!(15.4lbs) I got sick of it and gave it up, it is quite awful ALL that soup and it was just known as "The soup diet"...
If correctly followed, it will clean out your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being. After only 7 days of this process, you will begin to feel lighter by at least 10 pounds (4.5kg) and possibly 17 pounds(7.7kg), and experience an abundance of energy. (though i felt tired for the first couple days on this diet)
SOUP:
1 or 2 cans of stewed tomatoes 3 plus large green onions 1 large can of beef broth (no fat) 1 pkg. Lipton Soup mix (chicken noodle) 1 bunch of celery 2 cans green beans 2 lbs. Carrots 2 Green Peppers Season with salt, pepper curry, parsley, if desired, or bouillon, hot or Worcestershire sauce. Cut veggies in small to medium pieces. Cover with water. Boil fast for 10 minutes. Reduce to simmer and continue to cook until veggies are tender. This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry during the week. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat, the more you will lose. You may want to fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during the day.
DRINKS: Unsweetened juices Tea (also herbal) Coffee Cranberry juice Skim milk Water, water, water
DAY ONE Any fruit (except bananas). Cantaloupes and watermelon are lower in calories than most other fruits. Eat only soup and fruit today.
DAY TWO All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with fresh raw, cooked or canned veggies. Try to eat green leafy veggies and stay away from dry beans, peas or corn. Eat veggies along with the soup. At dinnertime tonight reward yourself with a big baked potato and butter. Don't eat any fruits through today.
DAY THREE Eat all the soup, fruit and veggies you want. Do not have a baked potato. If you have eaten as above for three days and not cheated, you should find that you have lost 5-7 pounds.
DAY FOUR Bananas and skim milk: Eat at least 3 bananas and drink as much milk as you can today, along with the soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates, as is the milk but on this particular day, your body will need the potassium and carbs. Proteins and calcium to lessen the cravings for sweets.
DAY FIVE Beef and tomatoes: you may have 10 to 20 ounces (300-550grams) of beef and a can of tomatoes, or as many as 6 tomatoes on this day. Eat the soup at least once today.
DAY SIX Beef and veggies, eat to your heart's content of the beef and veggies today. You can even have 2-3 steaks if you like with green leafy veggies but no baked potato. Be sure to eat the soup at least once today.
DAY SEVEN Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and veggies, again, be sure to stuff yourself and eat the soup. You can add cooked veggies to your rice if you wish. By the end of the 7th day, if you have not cheated on this diet, you should have lost 10 to 17 pounds. If you have lost more than 17 pounds, stay off the diet for two days before resuming the diet again.
This diet is fast. The secret lies within the principle that you will burn more calories than you take in. It will flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being. This diet does not lend itself to drinking any alcoholic beverages at any time. Because of the fat build-up in your system. Go off the diet at least 14 hours before any intake of alcohol.
Due to the variety of digestive systems in individuals, this diet will affect everyone differently. After day three, you will have more energy than when you began, if you do not cheat. After being on the diet for several days, you will find that your bowel movements have changed. Eat a cup of bran or fiber. Although you can have black coffee with this diet, you may find that you don't need caffeine after the third day.
The basic fat burning soup can be eaten anytime you feel hungry during the seven days. Eat as much as you wish. Remember the more you eat, the more you will lose. You can eat broiled, boiled or baked chicken instead of the beef. Absolutely no skin on the chicken. If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for the beef on only one of the beef days. You need the high protein in the beef for the other days. Continue on the diet as long as you wish and feel the difference both mentally and physically.
DO NOT - DO NOT No bread, alcohol, carbonated drinks (including diet drinks). Remember, absolutely no fried foods.
DO - DO - DO - DO Drink plenty - at least 6 to 8 glasses - of water a day, as well as any combination of the following beverages: black coffee, unsweetened fruit drinks, cranberry juice and skim milk. Good Luck! |

I am trying to re-enlist in the military and have been exercising and eating right for the past six months. I've totally changed my eating habits...not really dieting, just eating better, healthier. I went from eating Jack-in-the-Box and McDonalds everyday, to eating salads, vegetables, soy burgers, and lots of water. Eating healthy doesn't always have to be nasty. I've been exercising...doing kettlebells, running, swimming, free weights, etc. I use the steam room @ my gym, I do body wraps. I've lost about 25lbs so far. No, nothing amazing. I was hoping to have lost 40lbs by now, but my weight plateau'd. But I was 254lbs on 8/17/07. So this is a BIG accomplishment for me. I am very proud of that. I am toning up and I feel much more energized. My self esteem had gone up tremendously. N E way..I am on this site because I went to get measured yesterday so that I could re-enlist and I am still 4% above the maximum bodyfat to re-enlist. I was 43% in October...Now I am 37%. I was VERY dissappointed and just cried like a baby all night. I know it's an accomplishment, but I was really bummed out. So, I was thinking about getting lipo-suction or that lapband, but I can't afford any further debt. Plus, I know that what I am doing is the most healthy way to loose weight (eating right and exercise). I just need to figure out a way to loose some more weight fast. That's how I stumbled onto this site. I've been reading about the cabbage soup diet. It seems like it's to eachs own. Every person is different. Some have horrible experiences while others simply love it! I've been reading many mixed reviews. I was thinking that since I've already been eating healthy, and I LOVE cabbage and the vegetables and fruits that are prescribed for the soup, I probably wouldn't have a problem getting through the seven days. I don't know. I think I am going to try it and see what happens. I would like to go and get measured again on the 23rd. Since this has no calories and I am already exercising, this may do the trick. I think I'd like to combine it with some @ home body wraps (to help loose inches). Anyway, I am glad that I saw this site. I was thinking of doing the Lemon Cleanse, but I HAVE to eat. I don't know how people loose weight starving like that. The Lemon Cleanse is supposed to be just that, a cleanse. I read some of the other posts where people felt hungry after eating the cabbage. But I am thinking that may've been because they weren't used to just eating this way. It's kind'a hard to go from eating all the good food (steak, burgers, pizza...all the stuff I love) to just eating veggies all day. You gotta do it gradually. That's my opinion anyway. I hope I do not have any terrible reactions like some of the other people that posted. I hope I don't have fart attacks (fart, fart, fart---that was funny Bill, lol). There's nothing like running around stinkin' all day. If anyone has any other suggestions for me, please feel free to post. I am going to start it tomorrow (valentine's day). I just need to get to the store to buy the rest of the veggies (I already have most of them in my fridge!). I'll post again in a few days to let everyone know my results. Thanks again. |

We have seen a combined lose of 11lbs so its enough motivation to continue on the last few days...Although were sick of the diet its got us in the right frame of mind to eat less portions and eat helthier-which is exactly what we wanted!
This should only be used as a jump start to a diet/workout routine...Most diets/workouts take a few weeks to see results and you become discouraged fast-This one you see instant results & has motivated us to continue on to our better eating/exercises... |

I'm just stumped on the soup... this is my 2nd day on the diet and I'm practically gagging when i smell the soup. im on day 4, and it has been the hardest day so far. i had 2 bananas w/ skim soy milk for breakfast, but skipped lunch because i didnt want to get sick of the soup by dinner, and thats probably why today has been difficult. i do have to say that i absolutely LOOOVE this way of eating. ive lost 8 pounds so far, but i havent once felt that cold hungry feeling in my tummy.
i also just wanted to point out (in my humble opinion), that contrary to what some might say, this diet is not dangerous (assuming that you dont have health conditions that may interfere). i would venture to say that it would be far more dangerous to continue eating processed foods, and large quantities of animal protien.
its only 7 days, and the majority of what we get to eat is all whole food!!! bad? dangerous? pssssh c'mon!!! |

I think it has alot to do with all the high fructose con syrup in foods. i use to eat really healthy and the last year or so I just crave crap. but this diet is really helping me be able to resist temptation and feel better. i plan on eating better after day seven and excersising daily, then going back on it here and there when I temptations get the best of me.
I've cheated here and there on the diet, last night I went and saw a movie so I had popcorn. A couple days ago I had one drink and then one day i had a couple drinks. im not gonna restrict myself and be miserable. i just wanna be healthier. and leaner. I'm also doing a colon cleanse while im doing this. i dont know how healthy that is but i figure if i continue taking a multi vitamin and drink tons of water, i'll be alright. whats seven days anyway. and if you make the soup right its actually REALLY good. im not too sick of it yet.
good luck everyone. |

Here's the deal: this diet drops 10 -17 lbs of water weight in a week, then you gain it back -- fast. I've done it over the years probably about ten times. As an actor, I've done it before filming, and in my personal life Ive done it before formal events, such as an upcomng wedding I have.
In a perfect world, I'd eat well and all my clothes would fit me perfectly all the time. Not so. I'm just glad there's a last minute to cheat. But as mentioned, it comes right back.
You'll see results, especially in the face. |

I have tried this diet before, but couldn't stand the taste or smell of the cabbage soup. This time I am modifying the soup to make it palatable. I use vegetable base instead of the canned tomatoes, one fresh tomato, bok choy instead of regular cabbage, fresh mushrooms, onions, a little ground ginger paste, garlic chili sauce and a splash of sodium reduced soy sauce, and whatever other vegetables I have on hand to put into the soup. I add a handfull of fresh spinach at the end. It tastes much better this way. I also followed some advice on another website and I make a version with red cabbage, red pepper, onion and tomato with the vegetable stock and simmer for 3 minutes to cook the veges al dente and then puree the soup in the blender. It is much easier to eat this way. You can also make variations with green cabbage, onion, green peppers, etc. and puree with spices to change the flavor and texture of the soup. I don't know if the canned tomatoes are an essential ingredient. I believe this will work because it is the same principle of using vegetables that burn more calories to eat and digest than they have, but this would probably work best with a low sodium base. Also, if you make the soup in small batches, it is fresh and is much easier to eat. Bok Choy is definitely the way to go if you can't stand the smell and taste of the cabbage soup. |

I am on my third day and I will be incorporating the protein shakes tomorrow. I also hear that it will give you more energy if you are interested in working out as well. I always take a multi-vitamin along with a fish oil capsule. I think I will start taking two fish oil capsules, one in the morning and one at night. No matter what, our bodies need essential fatty acids! |

When dieting you will only put on weight if you havent eaten enough because your body thinks toyr starving yourself ant everything you do eat goes straight into fat, you need to keep a good balance and good luck im going to try the cabbage soup diet 2morrow. |

I don't understand why alot of people hate the soup or find it bland and unpalatable. If it is so bad, then kick it up with seasonings and fresh herbs. I added a generous amount of fresh italian parsley and cilantro, some lemon zest (lime would be excellent as well), chili flakes ALOT of pepper and used all fresh vegetables. I really enjoy the soup! The plus side for this diet is that you don't have to think about what you're going to cook or have for dinner, or take for lunch... super easy because you make a big batch and it's always on hand. I am going into day 4 and am looking forward to frozen banana smoothies... i plan on adding a few drops of vanilla extract as well. It's only a week, and keeping that in mind makes it easier to avoid cheating :) I have lost 4 pounds so far! I plan on making a new recipe tonight using lots of fresh dill, lemon zest, carrots, tomatoes and cabbage, and will puree it to make it smooth. |

Ok im sry i dnt mean to discourage anyone but this diet did NOT work for me at all. I kept eating stupid cabage soup everysingle day, got so sick of it i cant even look at cabbage now without disgust! Try the grapefruit diet sooo easy to follow! And if you really want a difference get off your ass and do some crunches! i admit with my busy life style school an work i have no time for gym, but ladies and gents, next your sitting down to watch your 8 oclock show , lay down instead and just keep doing crunches and sit ups with small brakes. You wont even realize how half an hour passes ans u have done about 200 crunches!

I am on day 5, i have lost nothing but GAS!!! fart fart fart.... But I must admit, I ve cheated....first day, I had 2 pieces of toast with butter and jelly!! I must say, after eating so much soup for meals, i m determined to better my eating habits!! The only problem we have as society: We love easy results..... But nutritionally speaking we all know its not healthy to consume limited calories. Its better to eat a balanced meal, well proportioned(not gigantic portions) like the ones in Texas!!! and together with that, we have to exercise!!! Go to the Gym, aerobics, or simply go running!! At this point, I m having FAT withdrawal....I m so cabbaged out!!! Yesterday I spent a tenth of my shift in the toilet...crapping, and GAS-ing... But I WILL complete it.. I am determined, If I dont lose any weight...I ll know its because of my ways...my cheating ways!!! You`d think one could stay FAITHFUL to a DAMN diet!!! |

So, I looked in the mirror the other day getting into the shower and discovered I had back fat (ugh gross!).So I went to my friend who happens to be a personal trainer and started back working out. We decided to attempt this diet together. I really want to jump start my healthy eating set of mind and this diet seems to be a good answer. We are on night one and so far I have not cheated! I think the soup is pretty good. I agree with previous comments that you need to spice it up, which I did. I will def give updates of my progress! Wish me luck ;) |

First day today. I have tried this diet many years ago. I too just want to stop my cravings for sweets. I forget if this diet allows coffee, so if anyone knows please let me know. This diet does work but will most definitly make you weak, just take vitamins and do not be too physically active. My goal is eight pounds and I will post my success in a week. You should also be in good health and an adult if you go on this diet. :) Good luck to all of you. |

I am on day 5 and i am so bored of cabbage soup. Its a fantastic diet that really works if u need a quick fix however it drives u mad! By day 3 i had lost 5 lbs. I do think the bigger u r the more weight u lose and as i have recently lost weight anyway i dont think i am likely to lose as much as some people.
Oh and i cheated slightly today- the jelly babies got the better of me. I tell u what tho- this diet has definately shrunk my stomach. Im never hungry and get full very easily. A tip- u need determination or you will fail miserably. Good luck. |

I'm 5ft3" and weigh 167 lbs (11st.13lbs) Im 26 and have a 5 year old son. So i cant blame my weight gain on having a child as it was 5 years ago.
I'm on Day 2, While i was making the soup yesterday it smelt lovely so i was looking forward to having some i blended it all up and had 2 bowls, but this morning it actually made me gag which i dont get cause i liked it lol.
I am still drinking coffee but 1 a day(in the morning) with no milk and one sweetner there is no way i could cope with the caffine withdrawel headache aswell as everything else i have to come (so i have read.
Not been to the toilet yet nor have i weighed myself, il wait till the week is up cause i dont want to get down about not losing any weight if i havent :S
Might have a slimmertea later help me out a little.
Im really excited to be trying something new and the thought of cheating hasn't even popped into my head, im looking forward to the bananas and milk day!
Good luck everyone :)

hey just started this diet today!! have bronchitis tho 2 so not feeling the best! just had soup there,,very filling and thick! its a yellow orange color,,just wanted to no if this is the normal color or is it meant to be sum other color!? this is the recipe i followed!..... Cabbage Soup Recipe
* 6 large green onions * 2 green peppers * 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole) * 3 Carrots * 1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms * 1 bunch of celery * half a head of cabbage * 1 package Lipton soup mix * 1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional) * 1 48oz can V8 juice (optional) * Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.
Directions:
Slice green onions, put in a pot and start to saute with cooking spray.
Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, take the seeds and membrane out. Cut the green-pepper into bite size pieces and add to pot.
Take the outer leafs layers off the cabbage, cut into bite size pieces, add to pot.
Clean carrots, cut into bite size pieces, and add to pot.
Slice mushrooms into thick slices, add to pot.
If you would like a spicy soup, add a small amount of curry or cayenne pepper now.
You can use beef or chicken bouillon cubes for seasonings. These have all the salt and flavors you will need.
Use about 12 cups of water (or 8 cups and the V8 juice), cover and put heat on low. Let soup cook for a long time - two hours works well. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

I think the key to an ejoyable soup is the spices and the thickness. I completly fill the pot with vegetables , canned chopped tomatoes, a can of rotel, and then add 48 oz of v-8 juice. You should be just about out of room in your pot! Add enough water to reach top. After it cooks down a little bit you will be able to stir it better. That is when I add my Lipton "beefy mushroom", a couple of beef boullion cubes, and chili powder. I really enjoy it!! It is thick and filling! I will continue to make it even if I am not dieting! ( I also added a buch of chopped cilantro and okra to the soup!!) YUM!!!!! |

I think after the 7 days if you continued to work out and eat healthy the weight will hopefully stay off. I will post my experience on the diet daily to let everybody know how the diet is going and will give my end results. I hoping to lose 10+ lbs. My ideal weight would be 115-118lbs. |

I suppose I'm in the minority, but I like the soup flavor! In fact, my 8-year old had a playdate yesterday and this friend thought the soup looked great. Uh oh...what should I do? So, I told her it was a wonderful and healthy veggie soup. The girls loved it and I was thrilled they got all those veggies in them! OK, so my daughter had to add brown rice to it to make it yummy, but her friend had 2 bowl straight up!
2 pointers for my soup - 1. I take a few spoonfuls and cuisinart them - blend them and then add them back into the ppot. This gives the soup a thicker consistency and make it sinfully creamy.
2. I also put a ton of italian parsley.
Really, what other options are there for a real quick jump start? I'm only on day 3 but down 4 lbs. So far, so good. Good luck to all of us! :) |

Yesterday was the first day I felt a little under the weather. I am out of soup so I will need to make more:( I am a little scared to do the beef today and tomorrow seeing how I didn't really lose anything.I did cheat on day two by having one piece of my sons cereal, and yesterday by having one popcorn chicken bite. 4lbs is discouraging seeing how I am also going to the gym 5 days a week. |

It's not necessarily the cabbage causing the gas as this soup has lots of fiber, which can make you gassy as well. I took Beano on the diet and had no gas problems at all. Lost eight pounds the first week! Second week had only high protein shakes and HUGE salads...five more pounds off! Back on the cabbage diet for week three, and six more pounds off. Eating very light this week, but did add fruits, hard boiled eggs and broiled fish. I find this week on-week off method seems to be working extremely well. |

Ann, fruit has a lot of sugar in it. I was on a 40 day fast back in February where the majority of the time all I ate was strictly cabbage. I only put green peppers and onions in it. Onions are good for passing bowel movements. When I stuck straight to the cabbage and water, I lost a total of 20 pounds in 15 days of the last 15 days of my fast. I usually did not add any salt because it holds water and used either white or cider vinegar which also helps with the weight loss, creates a ph balance in your intestines, helps your body simulate nutrients from the cabbage better and helps with indigestion if it occurs. I found that I had more energy and lost more weight when I limited my fruit intake to one a day for added energy and stuck strictly to cabbage and LOTS of water. I am restarting the cabbage diet tomorrow to get some fast results in addition to taking my Metformin for insulin resistance and multivitamins. Hope that helps to speed along ur process. |

I'm on Day 4 of the diet - the hardest day for me since I hate bananas and I'm actually alright. Made the bananas and milk into a shake, which makes it easier to get down. I lost 5lbs so far, but I've not noticed it in the fit of my clothes yet. I'm doing this to motivate myself, after failing to diet in a regular way. After seeing myself hopefully lose more weight this week, I'll be more determined to keep it off afterwards. After I've finished this diet, I'm going to go make sure I eat properly - a yoghurt for breakfast, veg soup for lunch and then a full meal for dinner. Should keep the weight off, I hope! And no snacking! |

13 years ago I wnet on this diet and lost 30 in three months. Then I took a job that required me to travel and I gained it all back. Then I got an office job and lately the weight has been just snowballing. My suits are too tight and so I have to get a grip. I don't mind the taste of the soup and I don't mind the regimen of the 7 days but I do get tired of the texture of the soup. I read the comment about blending it and I tried it today. I am on day 6 and according to the scale I have lost 7 pouinds. I am happy with that. The blended soup is a great change and I drink it from a mug the way I do my tomato soup. with veggies and beef today it will be an easy day and I can make it through the brown rice although it is my least favorite. You can indulge your self a bit. I have had popcorn two days this week and I had a very small piece of a chocolate bar two times. If you can't stand the soup the diet is probably not for you but I find it is doable and it works even with a very small amount of cheating during the week I now go off it for two week and go back on it and keep cycling that way until I have lost the amount of weight I need. This time its 50 pounds and I also had to go on blood pressure pills so I am motivated to get rid of the weight. My Dr. says if I would lose maybe 20 pounds I maybe could get off the pills. That is great motivation for me. Good luck and stick to it. If you cycle you will find that eventually you won't cheat and you can watch people eat your favorite things and just watch and maybe ask them to tell you how good it is. It makes you feel good to control your impulses to eat goodies. |
