Leptitrex

Summary

Leptitrex is a diet pill with a great many ingredients that is being marketed largely by word of mouth. It claims to help you lose fat fast, detox, suppress your appetite, and build lean muscle. Plus, you get your acne eliminated and a euphoric "high" thrown in for your troubles.

Description

Leptitrex contains a mixture of vitamins (e.g. C, B12, B6, and Chromium Polynicotinate) along with a many "fat burning" (euphoric) mostly herbal components: Chocamine, Di-Caffeine Malate, Rhodiola Rosea, St. John's Wort, L-Tyrosine, Picamilon, Phenylalanine, hops, Phenylethylamine (PEA), Synephrine, Ginkgo, Siberian Ginseng, Ginger, 5-HTP, and Vinpocetine.

Then, there are the "10 super foods" ingredients: Barley, Garlic, Cayenne, Buckwheat, Soybeans, Flaxseed, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Wheatgrass, Acai, and alfalfa.

Next, there are the ingredients to give you lean muscles: L-Glutamine, Creatine Monohydrate, L-Arginine, Avena Sativa, Mucuna Pruniens, Ipriflavone, Ecdysterone, and Coleus.

The detox ingredients are: dandelion root, milk thistle, licorice, cranberry, uva ursi, and sage. The anti-agine ingredients: green tea, DMAE, acetyl-L-Carnitine, and alpha lipoic acid.

Whew, that's lots of ingredients! Leptitrex calls each group a "matrix".

The vitamins prevent your body from being deficient while also promoting the proper conditions ("fat burning atmosphere") for the fat burner ingredients to do their stuff. The fat burning ingredients are various stimulants and other herbal substances that have been associated with weight-loss.

Notably, phenylethylamine is a fairly new ingredient that Leptitrex that many other diet pills don't have. It is extracted from chocolate, believe it or not. The euphoric "love" feeling these pills may give you comes from this. You may have heard that chocolate makes you feel like you're in love, well the belief here is that phenylethylamine is the source of this. This also promotes weight-loss, without all the calories and fat from actually eating chocolate.

The "10 superfoods" come from Dr. Nicholas Perricone who was on Oprah. His wife has been very successful at marketing Orovo. Leptitrex is clearly an immitator, of sorts. Though Leptitrex is also doing it's own thing with many other ingredients.

Note that there is also a product named "Lipitrex" (which doesn't have a 't' in the middle), but it is not the same as Leptitrex.

Criticism

With so many ingredients and only very trace amounts of each in the pill, Leptitrex is clearly a buck-shot approach that may be spreading itself too thin trying to cover every possible angle.

Hello!, I got leptorexin a few days ago before I knew it's previous name. I'm glad I found this site! I've lost 3 pounds in 4 days, but I'm still being skeptical because I'm afraid it'll stop working or that its all water weight. I'm already wondering if they honor their return policy, lol. I got 2 bottles, and I kinda wish I had just ordered 1. I've been dieting and getting light exercise for the past 2 months and had already lost 19 pounds, but I wanted results faster.

About me, I'm 19, 5'3 and now 161.6 pounds.

I wonder if I'm the only one that doesn't feel that great on these pills. I think they mess with my head a bit. I don't feel quite right, so today I'm going to take 4 instead of the normal 6. I don't have a racing heart though, which is definitely good! Oh, I get that burning sensation without food too.

posted 9-Nov-2008 2:55pm

Oh, actually, I lost 19 pounds in about 2 and a half months. I would have been happier if it were 2 months though, haha.
Lisa
posted 10-Nov-2008 7:18am

Huh...so yesterday I ended up eating more that normal (friends' fault) and the peeing effect stopped yesterday as well and I'm at 164 again. Hm. That'd discouraging, but I'll do well today. Oh, I opted to take 6 after all. They didn't make me feel weird yesterday.

Lisa, I feel your pain, I've been on these pills for a couple of months and honestly I think the only thing that they are doing for me is making my food intake a bit smaller. I've started eating 5 - 6 times a day to keep it small and to help my metabolism go, but other then that.... NOTHING has happened! I lost 5 pounds almost right away after started taking these, and now.... Stabilized! SOOO, I'm trying out some new things... #1 - Karve Pilates! I have read nothing but GOOD results from this. #2 Cut out any alcohol beverages except 1 time a week, and on that night, I only have 2 drinks! - This is our Family Poker Night.... I'm eating More Veggies, and less fat, trying to cut out as much as I can... Exercising 2 times a day for about 30 minutes to 1 hour a piece now.... I don't know what else to do.. :( - this sucks! - soooo Let's give this a couple of weeks and If I don't lose anything by 2 weeks, then something is seriously wrong with my Body!!! - Good Luck on the Journy everyone

Aw, that must be so frustrating! =( I think I'd have given up if I didn't get anywhere in a few months! Why not try a different pill? I hear eating small meals is good, but it's not for me. I don't like eating just a little at once b/c it takes too long to get my mind off food after that, lol. The pills do seem to be suppressing my appetite I think, but I've already been drinking a wolong and pu-erh tea blend that does that too. I'm too lazy to get more exercise than the 40 minutes I get a day walking around campus and the 5 flights of stairs a few times a day. =P Well, once or twice a week I do sit ups and life weights for 15-20 min, but that's not much either, haha, but it's enough that I feel like I use my muscles. =)

Yeah, I've given up on pills... I've lost all of the weight before by just exercising with a Personal Trainer. So, I know i can do it. Just need to do something different now because my body is used to doing what I am doing now. soo that is why I am changing it up a lil..... I'm 5'4 and weigh between 140 - 150 - but trying to get down to 130 (goal #1) 120 (goal #2) - I'm hoping that I can do it with these extra classes I'm going to take.

Sooo, it seems as though everyone has left here. but has any of you thought about getting the Bodybugg. It tells you how many calories you need to eat and how many you need to burn a day in able to lose the weight..... It's really cool and a real eye opener.I just got one and I thought I was pretty active before and apparently I'm not. I go to the gym at least once if not twice a day, and I walk the dogs, I thought I was good..... NOPE! I needed to burn more calories then I was intakeing becasue I wasn't burning what I needed to I wasn't losing weight.THis is a MUCH better investment in your health then pills. Placeing junk into your body when you don't need it. just get your boottie moving more, burn more calories and eat the right things and the right amount of calories....

They must have just cut and pasted the new name on the old web page as they still have this sales pitch gem on the site:

"How many bottles should I order? We have DEEP discounts for multi-bottle purchases which most customers take advantage of. Due to recent word of mouth and national news stories about Leptorexin we expect to sell out within the next 24 hours. All orders are limited to 4 bottles so we can serve as many customers as possible. Here is a list of the most popular purchasing options in order of most commonly used to least:...."

So I guess this product will vanish and a new one will pop up, perhaps named "Leptitrextrexin"

Hi All,

I haven't been on in awhile. Slacking with everything lately. I stopped eating healthy and working out, which is so bad I know. The latest pill I orderes was the free sample bottle for TRI Slim, but I never did order cause they make you buy 3 bottles at once and I can't afford that. So I have pretty much given up on pills, and really need to get back to my low carb diet and working out again. I got engaged a couple of weeks ago, and my goal is to be 120 at my wedding. I have 20 to lose. This is just such a bad time of year to diet and exercise. lol

I think this pills are working. I think you start to notice it after awhile. I didnt have much weight to lose. 30 pounds altogether. Ive been on this pills for about 3 weeks. People for the past two days have been telling me how good i look. and me and my best friend were sitting outside on her porch, and she looks at me and says " you know... you really have lost a lot of weight since freshman year (im a senior in high school) and i say really? and shes like yes...its amazing. i feel thin. my mom even started calling me "skinny-mini"

I have confidence now too. =]

I have a question to the people who have used it though... maybe about once a week do you get this amazing feeling? like as if you had taken drugs and you just feel really, extrordinarily happy?

its good to see that most of you are still here!! not much change from what i can gather.

Hi Kelly,

I took leptitrex, but have not orderd the new one yet. It seems like it is the same pill, just a different name. I did not get that side effect from them. The only think I did like about these is I didn't get any bad side effects like I have with other pills.
I don't think there is really a safe diet pill out there. Even is you buy over the counter ones from Walgreens they all say these have not been approved by the FDA. I think as long as you don't have any serious health problems you should be okay.I am going to order a bottle as see how is goes. When I took Leptitrex I was following a low carb/high protein diet and walking and I lost 20lbs. I have 20 to go for my wedding, so I am going to give these another shot and try the same thing I did last time. At first I wasn't walking with them and really only lost water weight, but as soon as I started to walk, the weight kept coming off.

Hi All,

Well I'm back because I was thinking of ordering some more pills and when I went to the website there was nothing allowing me to place the actual order. As I was reading the comments above I noticed that the pills have changed names. Does anyone know why the company changed the name of the pills? It seems alittle scary to me, especially since there was no mention of the change on the website, or even a redirect to the new website....I kinda makes me think that there is something wrong with the pills and in order to escape liability, the company went and created a new package, new name, new website, etc....Don't get me wrong, the pills actually worked (thats why I back). I lost about 25 pounds and dropped a pants size in 3 months with no diet or exercise, but it's just a little strange. Doees anyone know what the deal is with that amd has anyone tried the new pills yet? Did you notice any difference?

I just started Leptorexin today. I bought 3 bottles in advance. I'm really hoping that I see some results. I can't find many real reviews from real people on Leptorexin. I did feel a very mild hot sensation in my throat after taking the pills, but it went away immediately with some yogurt.

Is it really removing fat in the first week, or just water weight? Is there anyone who hasn't changed their diet and still have lost on this program? I plan on changing some of my eating habits anyway, but I'm curious. I have about 30 lbs to lose (ultimate goal), though I would be happy with 15 lbs. I'm just hoping its fat that's lost and not muscle and water.
Jacqueline
posted 6-May-2009 8:16pm

Even if I don't lose weight or fat with this pill, some of the "side effects" are really nice. On day one, I had a headache (I have mild to really bad headaches every day, its just how I am) and after taking the Leptorexin, the headache went away. Usually the only thing that works on my headaches is Excedrin Migraine but that tears up my stomach and I figure, I'd rather have the stomach pain than the headache. The Leptorexin didn't bother my stomach at all and cleared up the headache.

Also, I feel natually energized, rather than chemically energized. I don't feel jittery, just more refreshed. In regards to Roxy's comment about it making you feel a little randy...yeah, I'm getting that.

I'm wondering if anybody else posts here anymore or if all have given up for some reason?
