Orovo

Summary

Orovo is a diet product that claims to give you up to 10-15 pounds of weight loss in 7 days along with reductions of wrinkles lines and acne.

Description

Orovo was inspired by an Oprah program in which "10 super foods" were presented which give you "Age-Defying Beauty" by Dr. Nicholas Perricone. The wife of Orovo's CEO immediately tried these 10 super foods. While she didn't end up looking 10 years younger, she did lose 10 pounds and the acne she had struggled with was gone.

From that experience, Orovo was created. Of course, eating the 10 super foods was time-consuming and expensive. So, Orovo was created in pill form to condense all the essential ingredients in an affordable and easy to take form.

Orovo claims to give you 10lbs of weight-loss in 7 days, reduces lines and wrinkles as much as 90%, complete acne and blackhead cleared up in 30 days, while giving you motivation, happiness, and health and energy.

The 10 super-food ingredients are: Buckwheat, Alfalfa Sprouts, Lactobacillus Acidophilus (yogurt), Flaxseed, Garlic, Soybeans, Wheat Grass, Barley, Cayenne Pepper, and Acai. Orovo adds 4 more ingredients: Green Tea, Alpha Lipoic Acid, DMAE, and Idebennone.

Xiozen---no meal replacement isn't really for me, I like food too much and need to chew, but the mornings aren't really good for me to eat, never agrees with my stomach. Although, since starting orovo, food has gone down easily...just concerned once I go to work again, mornings are tough to take the pills wait half hour and then eat, by then I'm at work, work in a dr's office, so eating isn't an option once I walk thru the door. That's why I thought the protein drink might do it with some triscuits. I'll look into it more, thanks for the information.....good luck to you!!!

I just took my 3rd dose of 4 pills. I think I'm starting to get used to the weird side effects. Last night was just crazy. I basically felt like I was on psychedelic drugs. anyway, I'm going to stick with it. I feel this crazy mental energy combined with physical relaxedness...alot like what tbehr is decribing. I do notice that I have absolutley no desire whatsoever to eat large amounts of ANYTHING...and I definately couldn't eat a single bite of junk food right now. I know it would make me feel sick. I couldn't even drink my coffee this morning. I'm craving healthy food...which is not like me at all. The whole experience is very strange and these are very powerful pills...no doubt about it.

So Im on my second day of the pills, I took my morning dose around 8:45 again this morning and I feel fine. I was a little scared to take them again because I really didnt want to feel like I did all day yesterday. I also got on the scale because I obviously was curious and anxious to see if there were any results already.(i was doubting it because it had only been a day) Much to my surprise, after reading 160 on the scale for about a month and a half, it read 158 and that was about 30 mins after I had eaten breakfast. I even stepped off of the scale to see if it needed to be recalibrated, and it didnt. So anyhow, I think this stuff might really be working. I havent really had a craving to eat as much. I will have hunger pains for a minute or two but they go away right away and I dont feel hungry. I am so excited to see where I am at after the first 7 days! I probably wont want to stop taking them the second week! (but I better just follow the directions)!

Ok, I finally decided to write in as my big sis AKA (Biotch Hunter) Good name (Trust me on this one.) LOL! Kept telling me to do.I guess I owe it to her. I convinced her to try the product with me . I am almost 26, Ok, 46, and I have never weighed over 130, until four boys later. And I was tipping the scales at 150.I know that does not sound like much, but once you leave your comfort zone with your body all of you know what I mean. I did not do to well my first 3 days. I felt high, and foggy, but knew that if I was really detoxing that these are usuallly normal effects for the first 3 days. I pushed through my first week without changing my eating habits, and lost a total of 6 pounds. I am due to start my second round tommorrow 03/03/2008 and am really looking forward to it. I really blew it this weekend, had a wrestling tournament, ate junk food, Drank wine, as all of you out there know thanks to the biotch, I am very fond of.Only gained one pound back. I did find that it curbed my appetite, I still eat what I want, but I do not usually finish it. The water intake is Great, and I never take it after 3:00 P.M. I sleep great, and I seem to have more intrest in the mundane things like cleaning, yard work, and it has actually motivated me to turn my Laundry hanger slash weight machine back into a daily routine. Red and I are friends and I just started walking with her. I will Keep you posted as to the results. This is a Great site, everyone has the same goals, and no BS.Keep posting and Know that you are not alone be it ten pounds or 200 we all feel the same needs to be happy with who we are...Good Luck..and don't give up...MizLaurie

Finished my 2nd day today. So far nothing, however out of fairness, I have only been taking 4 in the am, still affraid to take the second 4 before lunch because I'm still having a hard time falling asleep. I do feel wonderful though. It has deffinately curbed my appetite. I eat what I want but only a small portion. I've been staying away from all alcohol figuring what's the point in detoxing if I'm just gonna put more toxins in. Been drinking a lot more water than normal, probably still need to drink more. Will deffinately do the 2nd 4 pills before lunch tomorrow just to see what happens. I just keep praying this is the part of the answer to my weight issue, never weighed this much in my life, very depressing. Just hope this will help give me the jumpstart I need to get back on track and back to a healthier me......

Well--it's about time, Mizlaurie!lol. Great post,BTW.

Shelli--are you drinking lots of water with them? My first day--I spaced them out about 15 min for each capsule with 8 oz of water each time I took one. They still seemed to work and I did not experience any nausea. If they make you feel sick and you have been drinking plenty of water, might be like mizlaurie said--a detox symptom, but could also be an allergic reaction to any one (or more) of the 42 ingredients they are made up of. Good luck and hope you have an easier time with them today.

Something I remembered about water that most posters proabably already know, but warrants stating--too much water can also be bad for you. There have been cases of people who drank too much water in a short period of time and actually died from the effects, but it was pretty large amounts if I remember correctly.

On a lighter note, I think since there are so many different posters on here now, that we all probably have some favorite tips or recipes worth sharing, so I will start with mine.

It is biotch hunter's burnt pan cleaner and I swear--it will lift any burnt food (lots of experience, here) out of a pan bottom, casserole dish or whatever else you decided to burn dinner in.

Just run your tap water to its hottest, take about 1/4 cup (or half a box, if you are really pissed)of dishwasher soap(granules or liquid--the stuff for your dishwasher)Put it in the pan, run in some hot water and let it sit for a 1/2 hour or six days, and Walla--the stuff lifts right out. Serious--it works--and no, it doesn't really need to sit six days. This really works.

I also use the same stuff to clean jewelry and you can see it working, bubbling away the finish, if its cheap jewelry,so I only do my gold and diamonds in this, so I don't need much, but again--this really works. Rinse well and don't drop the rings, etc. down the disposal like I have done a few times. Nothing creeps me out worse than having my hand shoved down in mine. Every horror movie I have ever seen that had a garbage disposal featured in it did not bode well for the person with their hand stuck down in there.

Good luck to all.

I can honestly say that today I feel much better...the nausea does go away after the first few doses. I can very much relate to the others who say this pill makes them feel sick because I felt that way too at first. Now a few doses later I feel great. I feel more alert and energetic...and I feel like I'm just overall in a better mood than usual. I love that this stuff truely suppresses my appetite. The scale isn't budging yet though...I haven't lost a pound. Hopefully that will change, and to be fair this is only my second full day!

Yesterday was my first day. I took 2 Orovo first, and then the 6 7DFB. You could actually feel the red pepper in the throat and nose for a short period of time. The second dose wasn't as bad, but it made it more difficult to get the fat burner capsules down. So, today, I did the fat burner first, and then the Orovo. Lots better.

I must say, the results were amazing for me. I actually had energy yesterday that I haven't seen in some time. I went to the gym and ran (for a short period) on the tread mill. I did walk for quite some time though. The water intake was tremendous, and my skin (hands and neck especially) is sooooo much smoother than before.

I did weigh in this am, because i couldn't wait, and I am actually down 1.4 lbs.

Today, I had no pepper burn, but i do have lots of belching. Thanks for all the posts, it lets me know what to expect, and I refer back to it very often.

Took detox just as the directions said and felt a little nauseated throughout the day, but energetic. Craved water...lots of water. Couldnt help the curiousity so jumped on the scale at the end of the day... Down 1.5 pounds! On just the first day! I was stoked... Day 2-4 felt fine- no side effects and didnt really crave as much water, despite the amount that I should have been drinking. I think I might have taken advantage of the speed of the weight loss... Got a little careless with some snacks and havent been drinking as much water... Just jumped back on the scale- still at the same weight... Should I expect fluctuations? Or has your weight loss been completely steady? Trying not to get discouraged... Definitely going to follow day 1's regimen tomorrow... Thanks!

BTW- cajun girl + 30 lbs - I experienced the same thing with the pepper...haha For some reason I feel it with every dose...Im with ya on the belching too...lol

Hey everybody. I have just finished my first day on the Detox and aside from feeling energetic and a tad jittery, I like this stuff. I agree with the above somments that ease and happiness are positive side effects - yet, I was confused on what foods to eat, though. I went out and bought grains and beans, tofu and some fresh fruit. It's tough following that kind of regime, but the website said we were not supposed to eat meat, drink alcohol or consume sugars or starches. So, that really puts a damper on normal food selection. Has anyone had success following a certain diet and exercise program? I would love to hear from your stories of success and obstacles, if any.

I have had temporary success with two--does that count? lol

Truthfully--I believe a combination of Weight Watchers (which basically is just portion control and you can eat just about anything)and the old Fit For Life diet beliefs of nothing but fruit for the first four hours of the day, would probably do the trick. I just need to find my old will power, which I think the Orovo might help me do.

The Weight Watcher plan was very easy to follow, no special foods, but I did invest in a scale until I could properly judge portion sizes. I have one of their huge magnetized food charts that I kept on my fridge so that if I wanted a snack, I could check to see how many exchanges (not sure what they call portions now) were in what I was snacking on. After about two months, I could pretty much guess within a few grams, the weight of say, a chicken breast. I started their program at 151 and three months later, I weighed in at 108. I maintained the weight loss for two years and then fell out of stride and gained it all back.

The Fit For Life one I did for at least two years when I also was on a vegetarian diet. I had to buy my oranges by the case loads and was always trying to find ways to keep them from spoiling as we live way too rural to do any type of daily produce shopping. I used a Champion juicer (the best in my opinion if I compare it to the Jack LaLane one I also have)) Anyone who juices knows it takes several oranges to net a few glasses of juice. Oranges are also loaded with natural sugar, but I still managed to lose 40 pounds just by juicing in the morning instead of eating any type of breakfast. I was never hungry before noon and always had a burst of energy. I still juice, just for the energy and my husband and one of my teens loves it too, so I do about 6 oranges every morning for the three of us, but I have not lost any more weight doing so.

I need to travel over to Orovo's website and read about the restrictions you mentioned, not that I will follow them, lol.
I am bad that way--it is like I can't quite believe they have it right, so I follow my own little plan, probably why I have failed some that others have had success with. But I want a life plan, and I know I would not be happy if I could not sink my teeth into a juicy steak every now and then or have my annual cotton candy at the fair.

I don't drink, so no sugar consumption that way, and I don't put sugar on anything. Usually get it in my fruit consumption. I am a fruit addict and have the good fortune of being best friends and neighbor to a couple who have something like ten different types of apples in their 100 year-old orchard. We even have a old tree on our place that produces wonderful fruit, but you have to beat the bear to the tree and I have seen him standing up to shake his apples out of the tree and he would win, even with my extra weight.

Good luck with the Orovo.

"I was the one afraid to take the orovo detox cause Im on heart and pain meds"

That is too cool about how great you feel after taking the Orovo. A quick question if you don't mind; Did you discuss taking them with your doc, and if so--was he receptive to the idea? I have a friend who wants to ask her doctor if she can take them but is afraid since he is against anything that does not have FDA approval. I have been fortunate. I had a great very open minded doctor for several years up until he retired. He once told me--every medicine we have could be traced back to some herb and then the pharmacueticals got ahold of them and added all the poisons.lol

I still get a warm feeling in my stomach but it actually is more of a hot flashy feeling, Not that I have ever had one. (lol) Guess I could ask big sis Biotch what that would feel Like.HAA!!!

I am on day 4 now. I feel fine, but I also have seen no movement on the scale. :( I do have 3 days to go yet though! I did happen to call my doctor to see what she thought about this idea of Orovo. She pretty much told me that they dont usually recomend anything that is over the counter because they dont have enough information or facts about the product. (plus it isnt FDA approved) I told her I was going to try it anyway and i would let her know how it all pans out! I was kinda hoping for some sort of result by now since I have been busting my butt on the tredmill for the past couple of days. I even took advice from previous posters and went to GNC and bought some protein shake stuff and vitamins. I am going to Las Vegas in 2 weeks and I want to look semi-sexy! Last time I was there I weighed only 125 pounds and felt great in a swim suit, now I am 160 and feel like crap in one! (besides the fact that I dont have one that fits anymore!) Well, good luck to all. I will keep you posted as to how things are going.

By the way, as I was working my butt off to burn 300 calories I started to wonder, how many calories do you have to burn to lose 1 pound. So, I went online to find out. To my disappointment, I found out that there are 3500 calories in 1 pound of body fat! How depressing is that?! Hell if Im going to be on the tredmill for that long! I guess you have to just decrease your calorie intake by 500 a day to lose a pound in a week. So thats my new thing, calorie counting. What a pain!

If you go on the website, chat live with one of the operators. That is where I was informed to stay clear of meat and dairy. Fruits were advised, but no mention of veggies (??). I agree with your assesment of the Weight Watchers plan. I have friends that have lost and kept the weight off, if you stick to it. However, what are all of us on the Detox plan to do in the mean time while we are on Orovo for 7 days?

hey all, i'm still so impressed with everyone's progress. but also still waiting for my pills to come! i ordered them a little over a week ago and they told me it would be 3-5 days. i live in ny so it's not overseas or any substantial distance. i was wondering how long it took everyone to receive their orders? esp. cajun girl, i know we ordered around the same time and i got excited when you said yours came, and waited all day. :(

in the meantime i've been incorporating the "super foods" into my daily meals. i go to a college with an amazing cafeteria (a blessing and a curse) so i've been replacing one meal a day with a mix of kale/mustard greens/whatever green leafy veg looks good, soybeans, kidney beans, barley, flax seeds, sun-dried tomatoes, celery, and sprouts all cooked in a tiny bit of vegetable oil, and topped with cayenne or red chili pepper. it's amazing, i highly recommend this.
i'm hoping this will get my body used to healthy foods before the pills come and overload my system, aka i go into sugar-withdrawal.

lastly, to folks concerned about having to give up meat and dairy: i've been a vegetarian for 7 years now and let me tell you, i EAT. in fact, in the first month without meat and on limited dairy (i live on cheese but think drinking cow's milk is disgusting), i lost 10 lbs right off the bat without changing the amount of food i was eating at all. just by replacing meat with other foods. and there are literally meatless substitutions for every meat and fish product you can think of--from sausage links to tuna to pot pies to steak. so there's no need to worry about loss of protein, esp. if you're eating beans or nuts. also, humans are actually intaking too much calcium which is causing our body's natural calcium producers to shut down (causing osteoporosis, bone depletion, etc.) if you have time on your hands i would definitely recommend either watching the movie based on or reading the book Diet For a New America by John Robbins (would-be heir to baskin robbins who gave it up live a healthy lifestyle). or just check out his website, lots of advice and good information.

keep it up everyone. hope it's less rainy where you are than where i am!

However, that is the same rep I spoke with yesturday that tols me to follow a diet with fresh/frozen fruit. No cheese, dairy or meat products. Before I exited the chat, I asked if the 2000 calorie diet was for the Detox or any Orovo plan and the he/she responded that it was for any Orovo plan. Can someone see if they have any luck getting a better and clearer response. I hate to beb a pest, but now I am confused. I think all of us can handle a 2000 calorie diet/ but whay would the reps answers change in one day?

I am taking the 7 DFB, and you take 6 before breakfast, and 6 before lunch. This added with the 2 Orovo, makes for a long pill taking session. You only take them for a 7 day period, and then you're done, and you just take the Orovo.

I was wondering where you were. You did order yours the day before I ordered mine. Mine came in on Saturday. I began on Sunday. Maybe you can call, or send an email to check the status. Let me know what you find out.

Results so far:
Today is day 3. This morning, I was down another 2 lbs. A total of 3.4 since Sunday. Now, I must say that I am also working out daily, which I did not do before. My calorie intake is between 1000 and 1300 daily. I am hungry in between meals, but am eating healthy. And, I sleep fantastic, which I did not do before.
Also, if anyone is wondering about the acne scrub and gel, they are FANTASTIC. Your skin feels and looks radiant. My acne has cleared up tremendously. (had tried proactive, and all kinds of stuff from the dermatologist) I just cant say enough good things about these products.

I take it you are only taking the regular orovo and not the detox orovo, as with the detox you take 4 in am and 4 after noon. I am not going to weigh in until the 10th as that is when I am done with my second round, but today I really was hungry, quite the junk food junkie, I also have started to work out about 3 times a week, nothing major, just some light weights, and walking. I have a tendency to build muscle real easy, so if I have not lost a lot but look and feel more defined, I will be happy. When I order the orovo it takes about 5 days to arrive so I found if you order your bottle on your off week you will have it in time to start on your next round.

Schon said i could take it if i plan on being by the bathroom, lol. they recommended the original orovo and the 7 dfb. Is anyone taking the detox and 7dfb??? If so, are there any really bad side effects?? thanks!

Okay--I am done with my two doses for the day (in my 2nd cycle) with no ill effects. I got up this morning and took my four capsules and 32 oz of water and went about my day as usual. I had ran out of oranges, so ended up eating frozen (no preservatives, sugar, etc, added) peaches instead. I almost forgot that it was time to take my tablets (I don't take mine until about 2:30PM) again, because I had absolutely no appetite. I looked at our commercial pop-corn popper and of course, being the person I am--decided--what the hell--eat it anyway. I had one, okay, two small (really) bowls of stale (really) popcorn, just because and then about an hour later, took my capsules and another 32 oz of water.

I had weighed myself earlier in the day and had gained about three of my six pounds back in my off week. This is totally the bakery at Ray's fault, but I guess I should take some responsibilty for the fact. If it is any excuse, it was my daughter's 17th birthday Thursday, and I ate cake, ice-cream and pizza--and not little bite sized portions, either. I even added extra pepperoni to the pizza. Don't be hating--I look like I have been eating extra pepperoni on my pizza. Anyway--I pigged out. I don't need a degree in psychiatry to know that there is something wrong with this type of self-abusive behavior. So for the rest of this week I am figthing back and being good to myself, like I used to be, prior to my becoming number four in my life. Hope that last part made sense. I once read that any bad habit can be broke, if you can resist the temptation/urge for seven days. I am going to put the theory to the test this week.

Anyway--good luck out there, and k, I admire your vegetarian life style. We were vegetarians for seven years, too, and you are right, there are lots of meat substitutes, but I did find out (from my doc who was also vegetarian) that some of those substitutes are worse than meat. There are some good products, though. My favorite was the Boca Burger. Being a seasoned meat eater before my stint as a vegetarian, I was way impressed with the taste and they even had the texture down. Loved them.

Hey guys, this is day 6 of my 1st week on Orovo Detox. I have lost weight... I can't tell you how much unfortunately because I also take a protein shake at the same time (twice a day). I know I've lost the weight because my clothes are ALOT looser than they were before I started. I'm even wearing a pair of pants I've always dreaded wearing because they were always soooo uncomfortable... now I'm wearing them more often.

I haven't experienced any side effects whatsoever. My co-workers have also noticed my weight loss and have asked about it... they are checking into order Orovo Detox for themselves.

I wish everyone the best in their efforts to lose the inches... just a reminder about this product:

This isn't a miracle pill. The weight I've lost is due to a number of factors; such as my exercise efforts, my low-cal, low-fat diet plan, my daily multi-vitamin, and the extra protein I take in on a daily basis, increasing my water intake daily from a few 8oz glasses to almost a half a gallon of water a day. All of these things contributed to my weight loss--and in such a short period of time.

Good luck everyone... you CAN do it... but it takes effort. Orovo Detox contributes my accelerating your metabolism to handle the "detoxification" process.

biotch hunter, you're wonderful. and that's a great point--perhaps the reason i didn't continue losing weight after the initial 10 lbs was because a lot of the foods i was substituting were not so healthy. still brands like boca or amy's or other small, organic companies offer delicious and healthy options and i have lots of friends who went veg. and turned into sticks. and stayed that way!

here's something interesting. when i signed up for autoship of orovo and 7-dfb, i guess i accidentally ordered a 2nd bottle of orovo at the $80 price (i don't remember this happening but it says this on the site when i log in). so after waiting over a week for either package to arrive i was excited to find one in my box this morning. however, the only package i got was one bottle of orovo with an invoice saying it's the $80 order. i wanted to use orovo and 7-dfb together but i got too excited and just went ahead and started using what they sent. i figure i'll wait for the other order (if it ever comes) and send that back unopened with the $80 invoice for a refund. it's just weird that it's taking so long.

i took cajun girl's advice and asked about my order through the livechat but they gave me only one confirmation order. when i asked about my second order, the only response i got from "schon" was "if you placed two separate orders they will come in two separate packages." he didn't give me the other confirmation order though or tell me which order the number he gave me was for.
strange.

anyway, i took the first two pills around 12:30 when i got them. as soon as i swallowed each one i felt about ready to vomit, but i drank 1 liter of water and felt ok in a few minutes.
i was wondering if anyone knows how close together the two doses can be taken. i ate my first meal of the day at 1pm (i woke up late today so didn't have breakfast) but by the time i'm hungry for another meal it will be real late. would it be a bad idea to take another 2 pills around 3 and then have a snack? or is that too soon since i just took the first 2? any advice?

Missi26---I purchased mine off Ebay, about the same cost as thru Orovo website, came quickly too.

Tor uk-----I'm very sensitive to any energy pill or caffeine, so I take mine before 1pm and I also take melatonin, which is a natural sleeping aid. Your body already makes melatonin and some people just make less, usually as we age we make less, so my dr. told me to take a few at night. If you wake up the next morning groggy and kinda hard to wake up, you took too much and just step it back the following night. That's what I do, so hopefully that helps. You can buy melatonin where the vitamins are in most stores.

Thanks, K--back at ya.

Tor uk,
If you are talking about the Orovo Detox--I never manage to get my last four taken until late afternoon and sometimes early evening. Last night I took my last capsule at 5:15 P.M. I was nodding off at my computer by about 10:30. This was bad, because my cat was nearby, just waiting for me to do so, so she could walk across my keyboard and type in some of her own balancing methods into the online bank statement I was working on. Anyway--I got back up and took care of the catastrophe(AKA CAT-ass-trophey). She looks pretty good hanging up there on the wall--but I can't get her tail straight. Just kidding--I couldn't catch her, so I went in and posted on Orovo instead and then went to bed. I seem to be sleeping better than before I started Orovo.

A few months ago--I was not getting to bed until about 2:30 AM. I get back up around 6:00AM, so not good. I don't have a drive away from home job but I am self-employed and my sleep habits have been affecting my finances a bit in the way of slower production and sluggish thought processing.

It is really strange how some of us get wired on Orovo if we take it too late and some of us get tired, but I was kind of a wound up kid when I was little, never could sit still and even these days, you will rarely see me sitting without my legs swinging(short legs, tall chairs)or my fingers tapping. I drive people nuts with my behavior, the type that would get labeled ADD these days, I am sure. So maybe my wacked out metabolism reacts in reverse to whatever is in Orovo making people jittery (green tea?)-- sort of like how ritalin is used to calm a hyper person.

At any rate, stay safe and good luck. K, I am going to order W-A-Y in advance after hearing about your latest attempt to get your Orovo. Also--Xiozen, thanks for all the great info. I am thinking you are into weight training or some type of athlete, because you really sound like you know what you are doing and I am going to try to follow your advice. You mentioned a skating rink in one of your posts--ice or roller and do you do it for exercise, work, fun or maybe one or all of the above? I used to love roller-skating--spent my entire teens doing it every week-end.
Great job, Z-luna, MrsB and everyone else experiencing success on this mission. Hope I can keep up.

Biotch your hilarious stories and everyone elses trials and tribulations have absolutely endeared me to this site!!! I check back frequently during the day to catch up with life on Orovo. It's almost like I am watching a new soap opera...waiting with baited breath to hear if K's pills ever arrived, to hear if Schon ever gave Chicagooptimist the right answer and to find out if Biotch's cat survived or brought her to financial ruin!!! These questions and others are so wonderfully answered each day as the Orovo Pill Detoxes!!!

I will have to admit, that on impulse I hastily bought 5 bottles of Orovo Detox (buy 4 and get 1 free) and THEN decided to do the research. Hmmmm, not quite the correct order! Just as I was about to flip my Visa Card over to find the 1-800 number and question how to dispute the charge for a scam, I found this glorious site!

It is so wonderfully refreshing to hear "real" people tell about their "real" experience! Testimonies aren't really worth the powdered to blow em to hell since paper (or computer screens) will lie still and let you write anything on them...but give me a skeptic with a great sense of humor, throw in a sister and her friend and I'm climbing on board!

My older - much thinner sister - actually gave each of us a copy of the Perricone Diet for Christmas (should I take that as a hint???) Her family followed the diet and had miraculous results. My brother-in-law lowered his bp to the point he no longer required medication, they both lost weight (like my skinny sister needed it) and her teenage boys acne all but vanished. I read the first few chapters of the diet and how loudly can I say YUCK??? Microwaved salmon for breakfast was just not my cup of tea! But, I guess the reference to the author of the book is what caught my attention.

After reading all of your exciting entries (til 2 am last night) I'm waiting anxiously for my "case" of Orovo to arrive - and plan to get the whole family going. My question is, do any of you know what the recommended age is for the plan? My sister's boys are 14, 18 and 21 and they followed the diet with great results. I have 17 year old twin daughters that are very eager to slim down, but I don't want to endanger their health or encourage them to try fad dieting. I'll be the guinea pig first, but wondered if any of you have heard of teenagers using the product.

Thanks again for the smiles and encouragement, I can't wait to report back on our progress!!!

Much love!!!

Tor UK- I dont know if this will be helpful to you or not but I only had a really hard time sleeping the first night that I started taking these pills. I dont think I have ever slept better now, I always fall right to sleep. (sometimes earlier then I normally would.) But that could be due to me exercising more often to. I wake up in the morning and feel more refreshed and actually get up when the alarm clock goes off! Usually I would turn it off and think "just 5 more mins", and wake up 5 mins before my son is suppose to be at school! (yeah, we were late a couple times)
I dont feel as much energy as I did the first day either and I have been taking them for 5 days now. I feel my normal self. I have not seen any results yet :(. I am hoping that maybe by the time I start my 2nd dose I will have lost some weight. I cut my calories down quite a bit and am trying to control my portions. Thats pretty hard! I dont feel hungry most of the time and think i just eat sometimes cuz I am bored.(not good)
I must go now, just got a boost of energy so I am going to go power clean before my boyfriend gets off of work! Good Luck and keep up the good work ladies!

Day 4 with O. Detox and feeling great!! I'm actually starting to wonder if I really have to quit for 7 days inbetween rounds because I don't want all this extra energy to go away. I haven't changed what I eat that much but am eating less because my appetite is much less on these pills. I didn't see the part about not eating certain foods when I was researching this stuff but I haven't stopped eating anything specific. I have been adding more vegetables and fruit to the things I already eat though...because I've been craving them which is very unusal for me. I have lost a couple of pounds but I just started my period today so I bet I'll loose even more after that. I've never had my jeans fresh out of the dryer not feel tight during my period before so that's encouraging. In short I basically LOVE these pills and don't want to stop taking them. I'm afraid my old appetite will come back! I have been going to bed much later and sleeping less...but I don't feel tired either. It is hard to get to sleep at first. It's worth it though because I haven't felt this good in years!

hmm. today's only day 2 with original orovo but i can already feel the effects. last night (after taking a total of 4 pills all day--last dose at 3pm) i COULD NOT fall asleep. i usually have a hard time going to sleep before 2am anyway because of bad habits but i actually laid down around 11pm (CRAZY for me) and put on some kids in the hall to fall asleep to. i ended up going through two whole discs and still didn't fall asleep until 5am. (i also had a terrible nightmare. related? i don't know) then when my alarm went off at 8am i hopped out of bed feeling as if i had slept for a week. that NEVER happens. i usually end up shutting it off at least 4 times and waking up with 5 minutes to shower and leave.
anyway, i took another 2 pills at 9am today, waited a half hour and made breakfast which was a simple healthy sandwich that normally wouldn't fill me up. well, i couldn't even get through half of it without feeling about to bust. that's a wonderful sign.
hopefully my other order came today. should i hold my breath?

also, i was wondering if everyone who's taking the original orovo and not orovo detox is following the directions to take only 2 capsules? it seems as though everyone here is taking 4, is that just because you're all using detox?

have a great day, everyone!

Hello,

2 of my friends and I are going to try Orovo together. I ordered it off ebay and was suppose to get 3 bottels of 7 DFB and 3 bottles of the orginal. They seller ended up selling out and sent me 4 bottels of the orginal, 2 bottles of 7 DFB and 1 bottel of the detox orovo. The seller stated he'd send me the last bottel of the 7 DFB

2 of my friends are gonna start with the 7 DFB and then start the orginal.
I'm going to do the detox orovo for 7 days on 7 days off till done. The weeks I'm off I'll take the orginal.
Hopeully by the end of the detox I'll get the 7 day DFB.

I really hope we see some results and I'll come back and let you guy's know.

I took the pills about 1 hour ago and so far i just feel a like I'm PMS'ing... *LOL maybe I am?

Geeze if this doesn't work... I'll be trully pissed with myself but at least I'm in good company...

Hi All--just in for a moment(right) to see how everyone is doing. theavonlady--I am starting to believe the Orovo might be beneficial to me in ways beyond the weight loss, but if it is just water--it seems to be staying off with the proper (key word) diet and exercise. So, may be a good way to jumpstart into a healthier lifestyle for many of us. Hope so.

Anyway--back to those other benefits. I have felt much more focused and less apt to panic attacks, freaking out, etc. since I started the Orovo and last night this theory was put to the test.

I am one of those worry wart type of moms, you know the 'you'll shoot your eye out' type? This drives my kids crazy, but I cannot help it. I don't know why I am like this either, because I really should not have survived my own childhood. Lots of stunts, several that involved horses, blindfolds and how fast can you make a horse run when you are both blindfolded? You know, normal 'country life' stuff like that. I even used to cross the rail-road tracks near my school on the way home when the train came through and slowed to a crawl, by hopping in between the cars. A friend of mine walked with me and she showed me this little trick and I thought is must be okay because it was a slow moving train and we saw an engineer do it a few times. NUTS! I finally met my match my sixteenth year, when I was a passenger in a pretty bad wreck with some friends of mine from school. That two weeks in the hospital, watching my bruises turn from black to yellow and the broken bones and cuts, etc. taught me--I was not as invincible as I had believed. Probably half of why I am the way I am.

Anyway--back to last night. I ask my daughter to call me if she is going to be late home from practice. Both daughters are in sports and do not arrive home until 6:30 P.M. We live way rural, about a mile and a half off pavement and half my daughters trip home from school requires that she drive along a windy stretch of road, so close to the river, if you go off the road, you are going to be in the drink, but not before you hit all those ouchy boulders lining the banks. No guardrails. Lots of deer, elk and even the occasional bear has crossed my path a time or two, which makes for dangerous driving even for the most experienced of drivers. When she had not arrived by 6:45, I knew something was up. The pre-Orovo me would not have even waited that long and I would have been frantic with worry. The new me, picked up the phone, called, knowing I was not going to get her, left a calm 'where are you, please call' message, grabbed my keys and headed out to look for her.

I made it as far as the front porch when the phone rang. I walked back in and answered it.

"We just had a wreck, Mom,right on the bridge. I got hit from behind and his truck it totaled."

My daughter drives a cute little ford focus. The other driver and also her classmate (very small community) drives a very old sturdy toyota truck. Part of my mind wandered over to the size and bulk of both cars as I asked her if she and her sister, and of course, the other driver were okay. I did not panic, neither did she. I just went down and got my husband from the barn and we took off. He drove break-neck speed and of course, we almost hit the four deer on the last corner before we reached the bridge. I did not pee myself or worse, like the old me probably would have done, I just calmly told him , "Be careful, the kids are fine, and I would like to live to see them another day." The old me would have been imagining all sorts of HORRIBLE scenarios about what we would find when we rounded that last corner and came upon the wreck and I would have never assumed that my girls were going to be fine.

When we pulled up, I got out, checked over both girls, went over to the other driver, who's mother had arrived, checked to make sure he was okay, whipped out my daughters camera, which I had REMEMBERED (something the pre-Orovo me never seemed to do) was on her desk and would be useful, took pictures and then moved her car to a safer position. As my husband helped sort through the insurance information, I made light of the accident, telling her , her sister and a passenger, that they were probably lucky they had not seen it coming as they would be less sore. This information alone--a passenger--would have sent the old me into a frenzied mess of worry.

The list of calm FOCUSED attention could go for a mile over what I am usually like when it comes to stuff like what occurred. I even drove her car from the scene. Okay--for those of you wondering if this was a wise thing to do--in this area, where we are a good hour or more away from any police help, it is standard practice that if you think the vehicle is safe to drive, to drive it home. A call is made to the police department, so they have record of the crash, but if there are no apparent injuries, they will not drive out here. You are pretty much on your own--or you can wait another two or three hours for a tow truck--if you have towing or an extra five hundred dollars. Also--in this case, it was obviously a rear-end collision and both drivers are insured, etc.

Kudos to Ford--that little car really withstood the impact. It does have damage, but nothing like the Toyota, which is no longer driveable. I was way impressed. It was a perfect little car, though, so my daughter is looking forward to it being put right again.

Anyway--I really was upbeat about the whole incident, happy they were okay and able to leave it at that. I know what I am like and this is not like me at all. I would have been up every ten minutes, waking my girls to be sure they were okay (One did have a bruise on her forehead)and probably would have ran them into the emergency room just because. I would have been out in the driveway, mourning the loss of my daughter's perfect little car, and then back in the house, mad at the other driver for being a person who made a mistake that any one of us could have and caused an accident to happen. I think this stuff has benefits that might just outweigh the weight loss in my case. Good luck and keep posting.

BTW--Loved your post, Momma 10s. It sent me on a google search of the Perricone diet. That stuff is EXPENSIVE! Whew and EW on the salmon for breakfast, I am with you on that--double YECH!

K:
Yes I take four twice a day because it's the detox formula...I would assume everyone taking four are taking detox.

I'm on day 6 now...my actual weight loss hasn't been phenominal. I lost 5 then gained back 3!!! My weight fluctuates by several pounds all the time normally...but having said all that I must say I'm STILL a believer and am going to keep taking these pills. My pants are fitting alot looser than before I started and I'm having my period, which began AFTER I started which is utterly amazing to me. Also I haven't felt like this since I was a teenager. Seriously. I feel AWESOME! I think my husband's starting to wonder if there's some kind of hard drugs in this stuff because I have so much energy. I'm also typically very pessimistic by nature and well...let's just say can be very grumpy hard to live with...and after starting this stuff my mood has done a complete 360. I'm happier, more motivated, and can't say enough good things about the way I feel this week. I haven't had a drop of coffee all week and I have 100 times more energy than I'm used to having. Usually by lunch time I'm ready to crawl back in bed and go to sleep...that old "dragging" man I'm tired feeling that just doesn't exist on Orovo! Orovo RULES!!!!

I ordered my Orovo Detox to actually try and make some money from their referral and resell program. It hasn't come in yet, but I am considerably overweight and have debated on taking at least the first batch myself instead of selling it to get an insider's perspective. I already drink 2 liters of water daily and go to Curves 3x/week, but it would definitely be nice to have more of a kick start to this (and a good weigh in next month at the gym lol)In reading, I see a couple of people with weight loss in the first couple of days, but I don't see the results from people I see have been on it several weeks. For those people who have been on it for a while, how much have you lost, would you say?

I feel thinner and have manage to keep off 5 of the six pounds that I lost my first week. No more side effects. I just want to mix it up a little and see if I can lose 10 more, and I would be happy.

45 to go- I went and chatted to a rep from orovo and I also asked if I could use the 7dfb on the off week of orovo and they said it wouldnt be a good idea cause it could lead to dehydration. They also said that the 7dfb isnt as good for you as the Orovo. So I guess its up to you what you want to do but they dont suggest it.
By the way, yesterday (friday) was my 7th day on the detox. I did manage to lose 3lbs but I also wasnt craving food all day long, I didnt even have a hunger pain, so that might have something to do with it. I did weigh myself again this morning and I was down 5lbs. I will keep you all updated! Good luck!

Good luck and try to drink at least 64 oz of water a day. This seems to offset any nausea--or anyway it does for me.

Hello,

Tomorrow will be my first day of my 2nd cycle. I went ahead and ordered the 7 dfb to take along with the orovo detox. Is there anyone out there that is taking these together??? i chatted with a rep and they said that they dont recommend taking the detox and the 7 dfb, that they recommend the original and the 7dfb. my shipment was already on its way so too late to try and change it. i wanna go ahead and try it, just a little worried cause i'll be taking a total of 20 pills per day (10 b4 breakfast, 10 b4 lunch). i noticed by reading someof your comments that the dosage for the original orovo is half that of the detox version, so im wondering if i should try cutting my dosage of the orovo detox in half just to see how it effects me. i dont know. i'm gonna keep checking back to see if anyone has any suggestions for me. thanks!

catnapper: your post made me think of my order, so I talked to a live chat person. They said mine went out on 3/5 and it's not here yet. They say 3-5 business days, but it seems closer to the 5. I bet you'll get it today. Because you ordered on a weekend, they probably didn't process everything until 3/3, causing a delay. Try looking up your order number and chatting with someone live online. Sure solved my worries:)

Jen, I have a feeling you'd be overdoing it if you tried the detox and the 7dfb at once. I have a feeling it'd be like taking advil and tylenol to cure a headache. They both do the same thing with some slight differences. I would suggest maybe jumpstarting the the DFB and then going to detox the 2nd week after?

Christy Lynn- As I was chatting with a rep from the orovo website, i asked about not taking a week off and just keep taking it,he said you will get better results if you "rest" for seven days in between. He said it is best. I also asked about using the 7dfb while taking the detox and he didnt recommend it bacause it could cause dehydration. They are both detox aids and he said the orovo detox is better then the 7dfb.Hope this was helpful to anyone that wondered

Christy Lynn- I did in fact gain the weight back which really sucks. Thats one of the reasons I asked if you can take the 7dfb on the rest days. I could have gained it back because I splurged on my diet over the weekend though. :( kinda mad at myself for that! But all I wanted was a big fat juicy steak, so I got it and ate the whole damn thing, and know what? It tasted really good! lol Maybe once I start my 2nd round of the orovo I will see more improvement. That is also another thing I asked while I was in the live chat. I told him I wasnt really seeing any results and he said that most people see more results in the 2nd week of taking the pills.

45 to go- all i did to talk to someone was go into orovo.com and in the upper left corner (i think) it says live chat. click on that and wait for a response. When I went on it was pretty quick and very helpful.

I have had a week of Ovoro detox and I am not really convinced by them. I was very open minded going into it but I find that they make me a quite irritable and I haven't noticed any benefit in terms of weight loss. The 2 pints of water you have a day with them helps curb the appetite briefly but by and large I don't think that they are worth the money.

Started my Orovo Detox today for the first time. I must say, they immediately made me feel a little nauseas and jittery, but it could be the lack of sleep I got last night. lol I am not really sure how they will work considering I already drink 2L of water a day, which is a detox in itself. Guess I will find out. All I know is I workout, I eat better, I drink water.. and the stupid weight is not going anywhere >.<

well i know its not recommended to take the detox and 7dfb together, but im goin to try it out anyway. the rep i chatted with on the orovo site said that it could cause dehydration, so if i decide to try it to make sure i drink plenty of water. i am definitely goin to make sure i drink enough water. i decided to take the normal dosage of the detox and half the recommended dosage of the 7dfb (14 total) just to see how it will effect me. i have already taken my first dose of the day (4 detox, 3 7dfb) and have not experienced any side effects. i'll keep u posted

I am going to order the Orovo Detox and the 7DFB pills but what to know if and when do you need to take the 7DFB again. Do I understand it correctly that you take the Orovo Detox one week and then you're off for one week and then back on it for the third week, is this correct. Is anyone taking anything else on the in bettween weeks. And, do you take the pills 1/2 hour before breakfast and then 1/2 hour before lunch and then nothing before dinner.

Hurry up and respond, I would like to order today.

I started taking orovo with the 7dfb yesterday. I felt nauseuos at first but that has gone away. I do feel very jittery though, even though I have stopped drinking caffinated drinks. On the plus side, I am feeling less tired than I normally would, and I have felt more energetic and alert.

anonymous- yes you take 4 tabs half an hour before breakfast and lunch. sometimes i take mine before lunch and before dinner. i do not do both, i find that the orvo makes me a little sick so i would rather keep it at that. but yes you do a week on and a week off. good luck,

Can you drink beer with Orovo? What do you do on the week off, just continue to watch your diet and drink lots of water.

Has anyone taken the Orovo Detox one week and then on the off week taken the 7DFB. When exactly are you to take the 7DFB if you are planning on taking the Orovo Detox.

Hey! I have been reading all these blogs and I am getting nothing but excited. I bought the Orovo Detox about a week ago on Ebay eager and almost desperate to lose weight. I am getting married in a year and I want to look my best. After being pregnant and miscarrying.. I have gained a lot of weight without the little one to chase around to lose it... But it's okay. God has his plan. I hope that I have the same GREAT results that all you are having. I am not the biggest water drinker, but of course I am willing to do anything. Do you think that is one of the keys to weight loss with this product?? I am looking so forward to this and I will be sure to keep everyone updated on my progress!! Any other comments or tips on weight loss would be great and very much appreciated!!
THANKS!!!

Couple Questions? I have been reading your blogs for a couple of days now, tryig to make a decision. I would like to know how the orovo detox is different than the the original.? It seems that everyone is losing more with the detox, but it seems to have more side effect; naussea, headaches, and etc. So I am confused?

I've decided not to take them any more. My heart rate is up, I'm anxious, jittery and irritable. I generally feel like crap and the weight isn't coming off any quicker.

I ordered the Orovo Detox and the 7DFB. Do I start with the 7DFB for the first week and then start the Orovo Detox for the 2nd week and then skip a week and then the Orovo Detox again.

Tweeters,

Today is my first day taking the orovo detox and 7dfb. the rep on the website said that it is not recommended to take both at the same time because it can cause dehydration because they are both a type of detox. i went against their advice and decided to try it anyways. This is the start of my 2nd cycle (1st cycle i took only the orovo detox). i took 4 orovo & 3 7dfb before breakfast and the same before lunch and i feel just fine. no bad side effects. i have been drinking plenty of water all day just to make sure i dont get dehydrated. im only taking half the recommended dose of the 7dfb just to make sure i can handle it. if all goes well this cycle, i'll prob take the full dosage next cycle. we'll see. hope that helps.
