I am thinking about getting the 7DFB.. Have you read the list of ingredients in that? The first 8 have to do with fiber, bulk, aiding in digestion and increasing bile production and liver. There are at least 4 more on down the line that do the same thing. The rest of the ingredients seem to have a diuretic effect. Also, a few of the ingredients have Potassium in them. Is anybody else a little alarmed about that? Potassium can be fatel if too much is taken, of course I guess it may be OK if the other ingredients induce you to pee more.. but the bile, liver thing scares me a little. I don't want to mess with my liver..
Anyone taking 7DFB having any side effects ?
Am I sounding paranoid ? |

Day 17 - 2nd week on
Weigh in: 189/36.9 - YAHOO! broke 190
Exercise: played around in the pool for 40 minutes with the kids I take care of
Breakfast: sourdough toast w/butter & jam; lunch: codfish, cheese stick, a few multigrain chips; dinner: bbq party - so it will sound like a lot - but small portions and didn't stuff myself or succumb to peer pressure to gorge on the desserts :) - steak, snapper, pasta salad, fruit, green salad, chips & dip, half an its-its (do y'all know about these tasty treats - major california thing!)
Patriot: wow, I guess I hadn't really thought about it that way. My approach to food since I've been on OD has been to give up fried food altogether and to allow myself one sweet treat a week since these are my weaknesses. Other than that, my philosophy is eat what I want in moderation - exercise. You're right though, if I were being more strict - I'd see faster results. I've done low carb before, but it just doesn't suit me. I hate counting calories or fat or sugar or protein - math and food should never go hand and hand :)
K and Patriot: thanks for answering my question about the 5 meals a day thing. I guess I've been doing that sort of. I'm a nanny - so I eat when the kids eat - breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner :) - I may need to modify my snacks some, but I've got the idea now - so thanks a lot!!
Keep up the good work everyone! Cheers! |

I just got my OD in the mail yesterday and took it this morning for the first time! I was a little nervous after reading some of the posts on here that it would make me sick so instead of taking 4 pills before breakfast I only took 2. If I feel ok I will take 4 before lunch. That was a hour ago. I don't feel any effects just yet. I think for now Im gonna try to just eat breakfast and lunch and skip dinner..what do you think? |

I think if you are careful about what you eat you should be fine. I do not drink alcohol at all anymore (ok if we are out to dinner I have one and that is it--kinda surprises my husband considering how I used to drink)and I don't drink soda. When I go shopping I try to watch the calories and the sodium on whatever I am buying. I also saw a nutritionist some time ago who told me not to have beef and pork back to back..So I went shopping and bought my food for breakfasts, lunches and snacks for 2 weeks (I shop every two weeks).
Yesterday I had cottage cheese (2% milkfat snack size) around 8am, cinnamon raisin english muffin with butter and grape jelly at 10 (and walked our parking lot for 3 laps), granola bar for a snack, noon--beef tips marinated in light ranch dressing cooked the night before in a little butter (and walked the parking lot again for 3 laps), dannon 0% Plus cherry yogurt around 2 and fresh pineapple to munch on until I got off work at 4:45 (and at 3:15---my final break--I walk the parking lot again for 3 laps). I do not eat dinner because I eat all my food over an 8 hour period and i am trying to adjust that because I am finding myself hungry right around 10pm--right before I go to bed and I am eating junk (chocolate covered pretzels, fudge etc.) So I have all the stuff I need---I just have to learn to distribute it now. |

redphoenixca2006: I'm envious that you eat the carbs, thats all ! I used to have the same approach, and I still kinda do, eat what you like just watch the portions, but I just cannot eat carbs, well , in any amount over 30gms/day and lose weight. And I may regret asking this, because I may want to eat one, but, what is an its-its ? I am from Northern CA and have never heard of it......And congratulations about breaking your 190 barrier ! Awesome...
Because I am so paranoid about side effects I have only been taking 2 pills a day of the Orovo regular. Since it has been going OK, I took 2 pills this AM before breakfast. Am trying to work up the courage to take 2 more before lunch. I think I am becoming somewhat of a hypochondiac about the possible side effects. I need to relax.
Exquisit: Never skip a meal. Lowers your metabolism. Eat something in a small portion, at least.

How can you maintain a job and have all those side affects? This is what I ordered ... Orovo Original, 7DFB, Somna Slumber, and Nootropedelic (for anxiety). Is the Orovo going to make me sick all the time and that is how you lose weight? For the folks out there with all the side affects, are you taking Orovo Original or the other one? LeiLei: I had the same feeling, thats why I only started with the Orovo regular. After seeing all the additional ingredients in the Orovo Detox, I thought it would be safer to start with just the regular formula. I googled all the ingredients and the most harmful would be the amount of caffeine, which would probably not bother most people, but can give you heart palpitations at the worse. The other ingredients like cayenne pepper, and Idebenone, along with caffeine will give you nausea. But just feeling some nausea is a pretty benign side effect. I got alarmed when I saw all the ingredients in the 7DFB, take a look. Like I said in my previous blog, a good amount of those ingredients affect the liver and gall bladder, which a little scary to me. Although the doses of these that affect the liver and gallbladder are way below the minimal doses allowed, which makes me feel a little better. I think judging from the ingredients in the 7DFB you would experience LOTs of gas, diarrhea and nausea. Also, one of the ingredients in the Orovo regular is DMAE, which claims to help with anxiety and sleep, so you might not need to take the other suppliments.

i am debating wether to buy this or not. sounds like an ok thing. i also have to weigh in the fact that i work midnights. get about 4 to 5 hrs of sleep during the day. and of course for those of you that have worked midnights before know that not only is your sleep schedule messed up but so is your eating schedule. So if i start this pill how much will it mess up my schedules.
I try to sleep when i get home and then get up when the hubby goes to work. Have three kids some one has to be up with them. then lay down when they do at night about an hour before i go to work. i normally eat when i get to work and try not to eat anything until about 3 or 4 am. then sometimes when i get home i am hungry so i grab a bite before bed. then wake up not always hungry but sometimes and eat again. then it is dinner time so eating again.so what is that 5 or six times a day. not always healthy choices. like i said i have three kids and husband very picky eaters. And excerise other then what i do at work i try to fit somemore in at home. doesn't happen very often.
so these are the factors i have to weigh in to decide to buy this product.i was researching about Ali and found this. but again i guess i won't know til i try right. still undecided. |

Does anyone else take medications for these. I know that with the anxiety medication, Effexor XR, there is concern with taking stuff that may interfere with it because it works on the chemical balance in the brain. I stopped my thyroid med a couple of months ago because i just want to be as medication free as possible. I would love to hear from anyone who may be in the same boat as me. |

I would Google the ingredients in Orovo Detox to see if any of them have any effect on the thyroid. You are brave to stop your thyriod RX... low/high thyroid function can really effect your health adversely. |

I have been taking Orovo for 1 Month and 1 week. I do the 7 days on 7 days off and i have lost 1 and a half Stone. I was 18-19 Stone and weighed myself this morning and was 17 Stone it feel great coz i could never get under the 18 Stone mark :)
The week i take it i have 4 on the morning at about 7.30 then breakfast at about 8 then walk to the busstop about 5-10 mins away. i have an office job so i try 2 walk around as much as i can as i dont do much exercise. I take 4 more at about 12.30-1pm then have 2 buns with some sort of spread and a low fat yogurt for my lunch. After work i walk home 5-10 mins walk nd have my Tea. I eat chips still and Pizzas. Try not to eat crisps and dont snack. You dont HAVE to eat healthy but it helps lose more weight, i dont like giving up pizza and burgers so i dont. I just eat smaller portions and dont snack (as much lol). The product does work try and follow my weekly way and see what happens.
Its a bit hard to swallow them but you get used to it well worth the money. Im still not sure if its just my mind thinking there working but its just me doing the work, or if there helping me but i have lost 1.5 Stone in a month i dont exercise i eat my normal foods, not salads ergh! |

My mother is a nurse and we researched this product while I was home for the holiday and we decided that to be safe I would only take two pills AM and two pills lunch. I know that's not what the directions are and I'm not suggesting it for anyone else, but it seems to be working for me. I'm also doing Weight Watchers and after week 1, I've lost 6 pounds and my only side effect is sleeplessness. So far so good. |

Happy birthday to me. 64 today and still above ground. Here's my story ( short version). 1994 training for a 150 mile bike ride started having my heart go into Atrial Fibrillation. Went for an angioplasty ended up with a double bypass. No more roller blade racing or 5 mile runs, took up motorcycling. Died in 1998,sudden cardiac death, I was in the Hospital's parking lot(I was having an A-fib episode and was going to the ER because it just didn't seem like my other episodes, went into ventricular tachacardia). Implanted defibrillator and pacemaker plus a couple of stints. Diabetic, overweight, sugar hitting 170, had to do something. 6 Week Body Makeover diet & exercise plan for 15 weeks. Lost 30lbs. Taking CLA to help get rid of belly fat. The main feature of the diet plan is that you are eating 5 small balanced meals. Typical meal for me is 4oz protein and 8oz complex carbs or green veg. Came across Orvo Detox while doing some more research on CLA. Checked out all ingredients on Wikipedia so I'm giving it a try to help loose the 10 pounds I have left to reach my target of 185lbs. Day 3 no problems to speak of. Too soon to comment on effectiveness. Still staying on the 6 week body makeover diet. I also exercise regularly.

Still 39: I think most of the bloggers are taking Orovo Detox, as opposed to the Orovo regular formula. The Orovo Detox has many more ingredients and the dose is higher. I agree, I think there should have been some info with the product. I found out about all the ingredients by googling them one by one to see exactly what they do and the side effects. I have been taking Orovo regular for 6 days at a cautious dose because I was a little anxious about all the ingredients, so most of the days I only took a total of 2 pills, one in the Am and one in the afternoon. I have not noticed any change, will do a 7 day weigh in tomorrow. I think after 1 week on Orovo regular I am sufficiently less anxious and may try Orovo Detox. It seems like all the really good weight loss is with those who are using the Detox formula. So thats it. |

AQT asked what is CLA
A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study, published in the December 2000 issue of the Journal of Nutrition found that CLA reduces fat and preserves muscle tissue. According to the research project manager, an average reduction of six pounds of body fat was found in the group that took CLA, compared to a placebo group. The study found that approximately 3.4 grams of CLA per day is the level needed to obtain the beneficial effects of CLA on body fat.

In fact, she just went through a knee replacement, still has lots of weight to lose. Her Physical Therapist advised water exercises then once she progresses she can try to add in lunges, which are really the key to strong knees, build up your Quads and your knees will be protected. You can even start with lunges gently, making sure that your knee never goes past your foot while doing the lunge. You don't have to start off lunging deeply at first. Working the big muscles ( and the leg muscles are the biggest ) burns the most fat and calories, according to Jillian and Bob from the biggest loser tapes....

I came across this product when I was researching colon cleansing. My mother-in-law kept bugging me to check it out ... to educate myself about how the body stores up junk that needs to be flushed periodically.
I didn't go at it for weight loss (though I wouldn't have complained). I'm definitely not anorexic or bulimic either =) - I just wanted something that would clean out the digestive organs.
I didn't have anything come out of me like what is in those pictures!! I was much more regular - did notice some strange bowels (sorry - gross) - but overall, felt like it "lightened" me up - didn't have any weight loss ... took for a straight month and then started OD. Decided to take the bowtrol on my weeks off because 1.) i have the supply and 2.) i like the effects(more regular bowel movements).

So I just started to take Orovo Detox today, in fact I just took my second dose of the day. Im just curious if anyone knows if there is a certain period of time that you are supposed to wait before the first and second doses? I took the first at about 730 this morning and the second at 1130...I want to avoid taking them too late because I am afraid of what I have heard about not sleeping...and, frankly, I LOVE SLEEP! :). I figure taking them 4 hours apart should be ok, but I just wanted to get some input from anyone who has experience with this diet pill.
So far so good though. The only thing Ive noticed is that Ive been pretty thirsty all morning, but my mid morning craving that I usually get never came, so I guess somethings working. :). I havent been too jittery, just a bit more awake than I was, which is good. All of the other diet pills Ive tried have made my hands all shaky, but Orovo Detox seems not to.
The funny thing is that ever since I was a kid, Ive hated water. For some reason I just cant drink it. BUT, this morning I have drank 2 full 20 oz bottles of water and I cant say that it was disgusting. Hah. Anyways, Ill keep an update and let yall know how this goes. Im trying to be optimistic! :) |

Hey guys... this blog is AMAZING, I stayed up til like 4am last night reading what you guys had to say. I agree that biotch hunter is ridiculously funny! I have a quick question... are any of you guys seeing a difference? I mean, I know you are shedding some pounds, but are your jeans any more loose? I really want to get this stuff... and I know I'm going to try it, so yeah! If any of you could let me know it would be greatly appreciated! ~Arfy |

PS: I am about 150..... I gained a ton of weight during my freshman year of college! =( I came home, and my mom tells me how I need to stop eating all the time, and really gets on my case about it... I cheered all through high school, and I guess that's what kept it off. She even offered me 300 dollars if I could lose 10 lbs in a month, and she always tells me how fat I got. Luckily I have a really great boyfriend that thinks she's crazy, but still.... I know my mom wouldn't lie to me, but it sucks and it hurts. She even does it in front of my friends. I really want this stuff to help me with my weight... I used to be like 130... and I am 5'6. You can check out my myspace, and add me... just mention you are from this site! www.myspace.com/kiss_me_gentle
thanks guys...... i really want to do this, and i need this support, because I'm not getting it anywhere else! |

AQT22: I know... I have always gone usually after every meal. My kids are the same way. I was told by a GI MD that it really is optimal to go after every meal, because the longer that stuff sits in your colon, the more you are prone to colon cancer. I've just always been that way. Now that I am older, I take 8-12 gms of Fiber daily and it also has Chromium picolinate. Mostly I have started taking that because I thought it would help me feel fuller; I don't need it otherwise, obviously.
Arfy: I am sure that your Mom really loves you,( I always tell my kids, "No one loves you like your Mom !! And I believe that is true !!), but OUCH ! those comments ... I work in the medical field with children and I often have occasion to be around while a child is getting weighed as just part of a reguluar medicial visit, and I always cringe when I hear the parent make a comment about the weight, whether it is that the child is too thin or too heavy. I have pulled parents aside and explained to them that negative comments about weight are the fastest way to punt your kid right into an eating disorder. There are many other ways to get that point across. And as we all know, the person who is overweight knows quite well that they are overweight.. they do not need someone else pointing it out for them. I just think it is misguided on their part and some education is needed. |

Hey guys....I finally started taking detox today! last week i weighed 170. I weighed myself last night and was at 168.. after taking 8 pills today I am at 167. I need a new scale tho its not very accurate, but I know i have lost atleast one pound! I had NO side effects luckily! I felt slight jitters....no shaking. It was sort of like my body was tired, but my mind was telling me I was awake. It only lasted for an hour tho. The rest of the day I felt energized and it DEFINITELY curved my appetite. I usually eat a 100 calorie pack around 3pm for a snack. I ate 2 bites and was full. I drank plenty of water tho probably atleast 65 oz. if not more. I will update with my weight loss. My sister is taking it too and will update her results as well. Good luck to everyone! |

Day 23 - second week off
Weigh in: 191.2/37.9%
Exercise: 1 hour dance rehearsal
Breakfast: granola cereal w/raisins; Snack: chex mix, dried pineapple; Lunch: grilled tuna, sunchips, cheese stick; Dinner: open face chicken sandwich on foccacia w/cheese and pesto mayo, fries, green salad; Dessert: ran into some iced animal cookies today that did me in
Today was kinda rough. I'm on my period (hopefully that's why the few pounds showed up again). Couldn't resist the cookies today - caved in - and then had french fries (though, I did take half of them off the plate and didn't eat them) ... the two things I've avoided for 22 days got me all in one day - fried food and sweets :)
I'm not beating myself up too bad ... I try to think of my food choices by week rather than by day - but just had a rough day in general and think "emotional" eating took over a little. However, I still managed my portions at the restaurant - only ate half the fries and sandwich that was served ... so I guess that's something.
I'm definitely noticing a difference in how my clothes are fitting. More room in the rear end and thighs :) - so even though the scale is toying with me, my clothes do feel better on me.
Arfy: respect and honor your mom but don't let anyone - ANYONE - get in your head and plant thoughts that are destructive. In fact, I'd like to invite you to join my cute girl club. Every morning, first thing when you look in the mirror, say outloud, "Damn, I'm cute! And I won't let anyone tell me different." - our thoughts about ourselves are so important. I would argue almost more important than what we eat or how much we exercise ... get your mind right ... and the rest will follow.
Keep up the good work everyone! (Oh, and got my second bottle in the mail today - ordered from ebay - shipped in two days) |

Okay, so I have read a lot of your posts and I have decided that it does work...but you have to keep it up... "and drink lots of water". 64 oz. is what I drink at least everyday because that's the recommended amount. With that being said, I've seen a lot of people lose some weight in week 1 then on their off week gained back some only to lose a little more on week 3 and so on and so forth. My question to all of you is... I know you're supposed to do the week on and week off thing because supposedly "you'll lose too much weight too fast", but has anyone tried staying on it without doing the off week??? I don't like being a yo-yo. I've been on a 1300 calorie diet for quite some time now, and I'm a housewife that is lazy, so I don't really work out like I should...if ever...so I really would just like to try this to boost my healthy diet and water intake. I'm 5'6" and 169lbs...my goal is 140-150 and I'd be ecstatic. I'd appreciate anyone's feeback!!! Thanks for listening! |

Hi there! I am trying to lose a little weight...about 30lbs or so. I have read quite a few posts but did not have the time to finish so if these questions have already been answered sorry to bother you. It seems like everyone is having success so far and I was just curious about some things. 1)Did everyone really stop eating meat on this diet? 2) I am a shiftworker so obviously, the recommended times are off for me. I work 9:30pm to 6:30am. anyone else have a similar schedule? and if so, what times did you take the pills? 3)Anyone thats been on it for a while, can you advise if it seems to be just water weight that went away? (want to get rid of it for good!!!) 4)and since it is a detox, is diarhea a side effect? Just trying to decide what program would be best for me. Thanks for all your help. |

hi all. back on after 1 week break. I do still like the "happy feeling" it gives after the heartburn wears off:) I waited til afternoon today to take my 1 dose of 4 pills since I had to teach and didn't want diarrhea during my lesson. That would stink! (pun intended)
K don't feel depressed, it's good you are motivated-- just work out a little at a time at first and work ur way up.
Patriot I do think only 2 pills a day might be too little to make any difference. But do whatever you feel most comfortable with. Maybe also just work your way up to the full dosage.
AJ I don't think it is water weight that goes away, since you are supposed to replenish all the water & drink a lot. I think it is just an appetite suppressant and energy booster. However, you still need to eat less (which should be easy if you are not hungry) and exercise more (which should be easy if you have all that extra energy.)
Good luck & I will weigh in at the end of this week:)

I've been on Ovorvo for 5 days. I take one in the morning and one around lunch. I'm don't think I feel one bit different(maybe I should take 2). The hardest time of day (in terms of eating) is between 3 -5. Has anyone tried taking the pills later in the day to help curb the appetite just before dinner. THe orovo I have does have caffiene, but I don't feel the least bit jittery. Is it just the Detox taht causes the sleeplessness and jitters? If I don't see any changes in the next week I may try the Detox, but I'm worried about side effects. Love to hear others expereinces or suggestions. |

A.J.: I am on Orovo regular, probably one of the few, most people seem to be on the Orovo Detox. I did not stop eating meat or fat while taking this suppliment, and have lost 2 lbs the first week. I am on week two now and will weigh in on Friday.I plan to only weigh once a week to avoid the pitfall of seeing the fluctuations on the scale to get me down.
Still 39: I too was very cautious the first week I started, very afraid of the side effects. I am using Orovo regular, also. I started out taking only 2 per day, half the recommended dose. I did increase the dose on some days to 3 per day. I lost 2 lbs the first week ,even though I did not do the full doses. I think 2 lbs in one week is pretty good. I am on week two and I have incresed the dose to 2 in the AM and 2 in the PM most days. Some days I only do 2 in the AM and 1 in the PM. I usually take my "lunchtime" dose later than recommended because I am such a late breakfast eater, I don't do breakfast until 10 AM most days, so that brings my lunch dose to as late as 5-6 PM some days. I have not noticed any ill effects from that. I too am very wary of Orovo Detox because of the HUGE list of ingredients, many of them replicating effects on the gut, gallbladder and liver...Not to say if I don't continue to lose weight each week with Orovo regular I won't try the Detox version. But I most likely won't be taking it in the recommended amounts.

Hey all...on my second day. I think I may have lost half a pound. After reading a post i remembered I too just got off my period. So I wonder if that effects anything?
STILL 39: My first day I felt very energized, didn't lose any sleep or experience any bad side effects, just bathrooms breaks a lot with the water. Today I was VERY tired! Weird how that happens...I normally enjoy sleep and get tired so i think the first day just tired me out with the extra energy so today even with normal sleep i crashed and took a nap after work! and now its almost 10pm and I am still tired haha. So I guess it's different for everyone. I even drank a cup of coffee today and was tired. I think if you're use to caffeine then it doesn't affect you....I normally drink 2-3 cups of coffee, and then caffeinated soda or tea once or twice....probably too much for my own good haha.
I would say the only slight side effect I notice is the TINY urge to want to throw up the second set of pills in the day...I have been taking all 8 and the second set of 4 kind of makes me feel like i could instantly throw them up, but it's not nausea! so i just don't think about it and drink water and then i'm fine.
And about Ebay I ordered mine off that too....way cheaper and fast. Just make sure its a reliable seller and not fake pills....

I asked a rep on the Orovo website a few questions that seems to keep coming up and this is what she said:
RE: Skipping a Week We don't advertise a specific amount of weight and time you will lose because it varies from person to person. As for skipping a week, this is important because if you take the detox too continuously it will start to remove needed nutrients. Plus the break gives your body time to absorb the detoxifying ingredients.
RE: Eating meat while taking OD That is the typical advice when doing a detox diet but we don't tell you to avoid it. It's just because meats more often lead to the accumulation of harmful substances. So if you eat them less you will have less to remove.
RE: Reducing dose to 4 a day rather than 8 a day with no break You want to take capsules according to your own situation. If 8 leads to side effects that are too severe then take less. Even if you have to take less you should have the same benefits. But the best way to lessen side effects is to continuously drink fluids and eat 30 minutes after taking a pill.
RE: Am I taking the right product to lose 30 pounds? For weight loss detox is a better choice. But a lot of people even take Orovo original during the break time to keep their health at the optimum level.

Ok, Day 4 of Orovo Detox for me...I'm still skeptical though. I've lost maybe 1 lb so far but my weight fluctuates throughout the day so Im not for sure. For the first couple of days I was getting really bad headaches, which is very uncommon for me. I am working out more than usual but havent seen any solid results from the OD. My body is getting more toned but I think that that is probably from working out. One thing that I have noticed is that when I eat foods that are relatively fatty (e.g. a burrito from taco del mar that I had on tuesday) I feel very sick and woozy. I guess thats good because I sure havnt dared to try eating anything fatty since then! Hah.
Im still trying to be optimistic though. Ill stick with it through the 30 day cycle and see if it does anything more. Maybe it just takes my body longer to react than others. Who knows. Or maybe its more effective for people who have more weight to lose? I am shooting to lose 15 lbs. I think thats really all I can healthily lose. I am 130 lbs right now (started at 131) but have a small figure. I'm only 5'3 (if that).
Anyways, Ill keep yall updated. Who knows, maybe Ill wake up tomorrow 5 lbs lighter! :) |

Hi all, I am so happy to see that there is such a big support group on this site! I am a 31-year old female with about 10 stubborn and unwanted pounds to lose (preferably around the midsection:)). I thought I might try Orovo detox as I have been reading up on the product and blogs, and I am attracted to the "detox" idea and the fact that the product consists almost entirely of food extracts. I am a vegetarian and my diet is already pretty healthy (with the exception of my frequent indulgence in chocolate and more recently baclawa), but I could stand to add an exercise routine to my schedule.
I just wanted to share my experiences with you all and I had a couple of questions. I just took my first dose of Orovo this morning and I am feeling quite jittery and light-headed. So much so that I was unable to meditate this morning. I was considering cutting the dose in half and having it before lunch instead of breakfast. My body is really quite sensitive to just about any foreign substance--I have the type of body that gets all the side-effects listed on the bottle and then some.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has experienced this light-headedness and jittery feeling--does the body eventually build up a tolerance? Also, has anyone tried halving the dose? If so, then how often/when did you take the dose?
Any input would be appreciated:) |

mama noos: there are couple of posters who only take 2 before breakfast and 2 before lunch because of the side effects they experience. The Orovo reps say take a dose that doesn't cause these side effects - and they should still be effective. However, day one and two are usually the craziest for me as far as feeling jittery - but I settle down by day three. Make sure you are taking 30 minutes before meals with lots of water and eating a meal (not just a snack). Hope this helps! |

Mama noos: Don't be lulled into a false sense of security because all the ingredients are herbal or food extracts. If you google the ingredients you will find that many of them have quite an effect on your organs, so the side effects can be just as powerful as medications. Digitalis is a plant....
Arfy: I am only into the second week having lost 2 lbs the first week, so nothing yet, but from my past experience in dieting, I notice a size decrease with every 10 lbs.
Am due for be weekly weigh in tomorrow.. have increased my dosing this week to 2 each AM and PM some days, some days 2 in AM only 1 in PM. On Orovo regular. Still scared of the Detox formula. If I don't lose any weight this week I may have to force myself to get over it and try the Detox. |

I keep bouncing back and forth between 160 and 162 but I have some pretty irritating female problems. I have noticed that I have TONS more energy and my mood is amazingly great. I was extremely surprised when the Dr weighed me just the other day that I was up 6 pounds but I have had my cycle for 2 months now and by then it was in full swing and when I got up the next morning I was back down to 162--could have been the scale I guess. I see questions about bowel movements---I am regular now and eating makes me go every day. Now remember---if you are eating alot of low residue foods---you will not have to go. I found that out when I had a diverticulitis attack. They had me eating certain foods and I was not going and was concerned and they told me that low residue diets do not leave much to expel. I was on the 7DFB last week and was not really impressed--I like the OD much better. I just started my second week of OD this morning. I do however see a change in my figure even though I seem to be bouncing those 2 pounds around. I exercise in the morning---not strenuous---just something to get started---I walk about 2 or 3 miles a day during my breaks at work--on the weekends I use my exercise ball and go to the driving range and bowling--so I am keeping active. Last time I took my measurements I lost 2 inches. I also do not get the bloated feeling. Sometimes I look bloated but I do not "feel" bloated and come the morning it is all gone. I'm not sure what else to do but I will figure it out and when I do---I will pass it along. i do watch what I eat but yesterday was a retirement party and I indulged and I felt horrible--so now I know that i have to make sure I do not continue to do that and stick to my own foods.
Keep posting results and concerns---they help us all stay focused.

I think she is holding back some pills because she has her trip to Hawaii coming up shortly and I know she lost some weight on them. She is the type if she loses 4 pounds, you will notice. Me on the other hand--twenty and you might notice my left flip-flop fits better or something like that. I refrained from using the word THONG because I know we have some young posters and did not want to give them a mental image of the biotch in their version of the word thong.
Anyway--I am going back in to read and will post as I read to catch up. |

OOPS--just in case you didn't recognise my sick sense of humor--that was me, the Biotch, right above here. Forgot to fill in the name section.
Hi K--hope things are going great. I will get in shortly after I read back through all the comments and update you on my latest failed attempt at normalcy.
OMG-- Girly Mom--every time I think of your 'lil one' standing in Target clapping, I giggle myself silly. Thanks for the laughs.
When my youngest was in kindergarten, she broke her leg when she fell off the monkey bars at school. From what I could gather from the class monitor, she apparently had not noticed my daughter trying to run across the top of the bars until she heard what sounded like a very loud gong as my daughters leg contacted with one of the metal posts at the end. Guess she made it across.
Anyway--my little acro-brat suffered from constipation caused by her sudden inactivity, so the doc suggested glycerin suppositories.
Well, they worked so well that she talked me into taking her into Ray's foods with me, something I had not tried since she was still in a cast all the way up to her hip and did not like to wobble around on crutches. I knew I could get her in the cart as long as I didn't need too many groceries as she took the whole thing up. When don't I need too many groceries? Never, so I just resigned myself to the fact that she needed a day out and I would pick up just a few things and go again later in the day.
It was busy in the store, and the small town that it is, I saw several people I knew and so did my little girl. We have this favorite family restaurant and my child looked across at least three lines of cashiers and spotted our favorite watress from the restaurant.
"Kelli!" my daughter waved frantically.
"Hey, sweetie, how you feeling?" Kelli waved back.
"Oh, better now. My mama put a crayon up my butt and I am real good, now."
I didn't know whether to cry or laugh, but thankfully, there was a bottle of the "crayons" in my shopping cart as I had decided to replace the ones in my medicine cabinet, so I just held them up. I think she got it,because her and the cashier burst into hysterical laughter, but you should have seen the looks I received from the non-locals. Probably killed a few real estate deals that day! |

OMG--I am reading these things from back to front, but I have to stop here and comment because I just read Arfy's post about her mom and Patriot's and redphoenixca2006 responses to the comment. Arfy--I hope you take their advice to heart.BTW--redphoenixca2006 and Patriot--you are amazing.
I am a mom and one of my daughters struggles with her weight constantly. I think she is absolutely GORGEOUS at the weight she is at, but if she was four hundred pounds I would still think she was beautiful. It's a total mother thing.
I will say this; I would NEVER-EVER, absolutely NEVER-EVER-I mean NEVER-EVER call her FAT or any word that denotes fat.
Arfy, I would almost have to agree with your boy-friend, but being a mom, I know one thing; Nothing is as strong as a mother's love for her child, so I am sure, her comments, as bad as they are, were made because she thinks they are going to "help" you be happier in the long run.
I would slap her if I knew her, because I am mean, but you are the better person, because you do know her and have managed to forge ahead with your relationship with her. Kudos to you, because she is WRONG in her advance toward you. |

Hey Guys, I haven't lost any weight on the OD pills and I've been going for 3 days.
I do have a really achey (not sore, more like I got punched in the side of it) throat on the right side.. and I kept waking up all last night with stomach pains... but I'm still taking the pills! Hoping they'll start working!!
Has anyone really noticed a dramatic weightloss like the website has claimed? Cause there's some mixed reactions about them on here. |

Bri: 3 days is not enough to judge on. My personal opinion is that you should only weigh in once a week, maybe only every 2 weeks. That way you will not be discouraged with the daily way our weight fluctuates, and you will most likely have a larger number of pounds lost to give you incentive to continue with your plan. If you weigh more frequently than every week you most likely will be disappointed with the fluctuations. Long story short... give it more time....
It was really hard for me to stay off the scale that first week, but at my 7 day weigh in I had lost 2 lbs, which I was very happy with. On any diet or plan 2 lbs/ month is considered good.....
You may have that feeling in your throat because you aren't taking the pills with at least 8 oz of water, I got that feeling along with a burning feeling farther down because I didn't take it with enough water. The pills can irritate your esophagus and flushing with water takes care of that.
AQT22: You may be right about the 2-3 lb thing. This is only my 2nd week, so I have to give it more time. If I can lose 2 lbs/week like I did the first week, I will be estatic and will continue with the plan. Only time will tell.
Biotch Hunter: So good to see your blog again ! So are you decreasing your dose because you are "afeared" of the side effects or are you just giving up ? |
