Summary
Orovo is a diet product that claims to give you up to 10-15 pounds of weight loss in 7 days along with reductions of wrinkles lines and acne.
Description
Orovo was inspired by an Oprah program in which "10 super foods" were presented which give you "Age-Defying Beauty" by Dr. Nicholas Perricone. The wife of Orovo's CEO immediately tried these 10 super foods. While she didn't end up looking 10 years younger, she did lose 10 pounds and the acne she had struggled with was gone.
From that experience, Orovo was created. Of course, eating the 10 super foods was time-consuming and expensive. So, Orovo was created in pill form to condense all the essential ingredients in an affordable and easy to take form.
Orovo claims to give you 10lbs of weight-loss in 7 days, reduces lines and wrinkles as much as 90%, complete acne and blackhead cleared up in 30 days, while giving you motivation, happiness, and health and energy.
The 10 super-food ingredients are: Buckwheat, Alfalfa Sprouts, Lactobacillus Acidophilus (yogurt), Flaxseed, Garlic, Soybeans, Wheat Grass, Barley, Cayenne Pepper, and Acai. Orovo adds 4 more ingredients: Green Tea, Alpha Lipoic Acid, DMAE, and Idebennone.

Just checking in...Day 4 of 1st off-week (confused yet?)
I'm trying to stay optimistic but everything has gone back to normal. My extra energy is gone and my weight is back up. :o(
The good news is that I don't have junk food cravings...but I don't attribute this to the pills more to the fact that I don't want to undo everything I'm trying to accomplish working out.
I am still drinking water like crazy...I try to drink about 8 ounces every hour...trying to get in those 8-10 glasses a day. Plus, I figure if I keep it up on the off-weeks it won't be so hard to do during the on-weeks. AND water is supposed to be good for you anyway...it's just SOOOOO boring!! I'm watching the bad fats and carbs and trying to keep my daily calories right around 1500 so my workouts actually accomplish something.
Exercising is much easier this week as I haven't been too sick to move and I'm throwing myself into the intense aerobics full force and try to do 30-45 minutes every day. Don't know if the pills will effect me next week the same way they did last week and keep me from working out 3 days in a row. 8-P And, of course, I'm doing weights and pilates for toning. Gotta love those.
I'm looking forward to going back on the pills next week but I'm a little apprehensive as to whether they will effect me the same way they did last week. I'm done having kids...nausea and dizziness 24 hours a day for 3 days was NOT fun!!
Bottom line...the first three days of this set were horrible and great. I felt awful but I lost 5 pounds. The rest of the time everything returned to normal and I'm hoping for a more positive...and long lasting...experience during the next round. | manisha

Just a quick note on the over-dosing on vitamins: It's absolutely true! I took nutrition as an elective when I went to university and I've got a whole text book that lists negative side effects when taking too much of one vitamin. For the most part, you have to take an insane amount of the vitamin for it to be that harmful to you.
It's been a while since I read the text book, but I remember a case study of someone's skin changing colour from too much of one vitamin! | manisha

...I think OD is worth trying from my hour of reading this post. I'm 29, 3 kids, 2-8 yrs, eat a well rounded diet w/ meatless mondays, fish fridays, steak saturdays, I vary my foods to keep my metabolism guessing, lots of water & tea, no juice, 1 c cofee in the morning. I weight train at least 2 days per week, cardio at least 3. Nothing heavy, just enough to challenge my body. Got to change the cardio type to keep the muscle guessing. Eat 5 times per day, never skip meals don't want to use muscle for fuel or get sluggish metabolism. 5'7" Fav weight 133 size 6 Current 145 size 8, uncomfortable 6 Goal 135, increased muscle tone= curvy w/ definition.
I have used for 8 months fahrenheit & ripped fuel, both worked at first, but I would plateau, I alternate every month, but haven't lost in last 1.5 months, need something new. Cannot dedicate time or bathroom time to fruit fast to cleanse, but definately interested in the OD functionality/benefits. My only conflict w/ diet pills is losing muscle tone I work so hard for. I'll order tomorrow and keep you posted on effects and results.
Biotch...you are a rockstar! I will so be googling you for laughs. What ever happened to Jen, I was excited to see what her results would be? Max, updates please.

I have been taking OD since Monday and have had the same problem. I am extrememly tired. It is very difficult to get up out of bed. I never had that problem before. Anyway, I haven't lost any weight but have gained 1lb. I thought that was pretty weird considering my appetite has gone down. I will also continue to take these. Maybe it is just taking my body a little longer to get used to the OD and work. I will let you know. | happy

I havent really had any side effects except having to go to the bathroom more. Maybe i'm not losing fast because I dont have much to lose? I need to lose about 30 pounds. | GucciChick*

Hi Everyone- I'm 20 years old and have been overweight my entire life, from the time i was in 5th grade i was the big dufey girl that everyone made fun of. I had nicknames like no tomorrow. I weighed in at about 168 in fifth grade and just kept gaining and gaining weight. In eleventh grade I turned into a super health freak and started running 1-2 miles a day, and got my weight from 210 down to 156. I am now in my second year of college and have kept my weight at 156 (which is hard being away from home and having to eat out alot!) I am 5'4 and would love to weigh anywhere between 120-140. My ideal weight is 125. I just recieved my first bottle of orovo and the 7DFB. I'm skeptical about actually trying them my biggest fear is having to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes! Do these pills actually help you increase weight loss? I've just been worried because everyone says it just suppressed their apitite. and I LOVE FOOD! so I'm just wondeirng if its even worth taking??

everyone's body acts different to orovo it seems, like you I was worried about going to the bathroom all day but it hasn't worked that way with me. My eating has cut down and I can go long periods without eating which also isn't good. The only way you will know for sure is by taking them and if they act badly with your system just cut back on the intake of the pills and then work your way back up to the amount it says. Let you body get use to them. Some times we just need to do it this way a little at a time. I wish you well on them... (: | JESSI*GRL

I am on my first day of Orovo Detox and I must say I definitely have a suppressed appetite. Unfortunately I got a bad headache about 2 hrs after the lunch dose. I feel groggy and odd "stoned" is a pretty good word for it. I don't feel very well and I'm a little jittery. But I'm gonna keep on truckin! I know this is going to be the answer to my dreams!!!!! I took 6 of the 7DFB like the dosage says; and I ate about 30 minutes after taking them, the sad part - i could literally only eat an apple and a yogurt. which is VERY abnormal for me, and I had to force myself to eat a piece of toast for dinner. so i have to say my appetite is pretty much gone even after my first dosage. i've never really done a diet pill before but i can see how people lose weight quickly... | 2girlsmom

Day 1 - well after reading all of these messages I ordered 2 bottles of OD and took my first dose just now. I feel hopeful (she says sarcastically) Kids 8 & 10 and single mom. Work like a fiend so I don't take time for myself to exercise. I eat to say awake at night so I can work. (a lot of computer time work and I get tired) (no wonder she's heavy you say) I did just buy a new bike (hopefully the kids will motivate me) and one of those exercise balls. (did it once so far, liked it) 99% of my life I've had a poor body image (bad magazines, many girls will never look like the ones in those magazines) I'm 41 years old, 5'7" and today I'm 191. (just jumped off the scale in an attempt to cause some kind of ankle damage to get out of exercising, not just kidding). My older sister is 95 lbs soaking wet. (biotch, really I love her dearly) I did get down to 163 at one point on Weight Watchers and I felt better about myself but I know I would be healthier at a lower weight. Today is day 1 of my first 'off' week. I went from 143 to 140 lbs week 1 of OD. I am a diet mountain dew junkie and only drank water last week. I wondered what would happen on the off week since I have gotten such bad headaches in the past when I would try to cut back on the caffeine intake. Today is day 1 of my first 'off' week and I woke up at 6 a.m. with a headache. It is now 3:15 p.m. and the headache is still there. It's gotta be the lack of caffeine so I've been back on the diet dew today to try and get rid of it, but it just won't go away.
Side effects during week 1- I felt like I was on speed the first 2 days and then seemed fine the rest of the week. Frequent bathroom trips due to all the water I was drinking. | curious

I just started my second bottle of Orovo today, which would mark my 30 days today. I lost 8 pounds in total in a month and some inches, which I am very happy about. I didn't exercise all month, and I have no cravings for food. I make myself eat, but this way I can choose, because I am not starving and craving junk. I went through my period with OD and nothing different than normal. I lacked some energy on my first week off, but my second week off was fine and I still didn't starve or crave food. I feel good, no jitters, no frequent bathroom trips other than to discard all the water I drink. I am very thirsty and actually crave water! I had a very stressful week at work on my week off and made it just fine. I do believe that these pills react to every body differently. I am very happy with my results. My husband started taking his last week and he can eat. He didn't finish his dinner last night(steak his favorite) for the first time in 12 years of our marriage. He lost 15 pounds his first week ( he was 270), because he wasn't as hungry as he usually is. I will keep you posted how he does in his off week this week. | vegasgirl

Thank you to Biotch for her spectacular posts - her humor combined with all the good info posted here convinced me to order the OD. Bottles showed up Saturday afternoon, but I didn't start first dose until Monday morning (I've hidden them in my cupboard so kids won't run across them - or hubby!!) I want to see if they work before I tell him about them. We're both on a *healthy* kick and he does more exercise because I have a bad knee, so... Just had my lunch-time dose and am starting to feel a little funny in my head (but that could just be my ponytail holder as I haven't dried my hair today). Very mild heartburnish feeling at first after taking both the morning dose and the lunchtime dose, but thankfully everybody wrote that drinking water gets rid of that, so I did and it went way. I normally drink a couple of diet cokes a day, but decided not to since so many folks said the OD makes them jittery - good news is I don't feel jittery in the least, bad news is that probably means I'm drinking waaay too much diet soda...? Does anybody have a good link to any sites about the effects of diet sodas? | max

Ok I have been taking OD without any breaks ok that is a lie I missed taking them Sunday *yesterday* The reason I was tired of going to the bathroom had to give myself a break. I will tell you a story promise not to laugh. I ride my bike everyday for about 5 miles and I was on mile 3 and all of a sudden it hit me. I take OD before I go on my rides because when I get back I can do my protein shake. Anyway the bike ride I had the horrible feeling of going to the bathroom just hit me so bad. I just kept riding since I had no choice and the closer I got to the house the worse it got. Then once I got home having to run up stairs just the thought was making me sick I wasn't sure I was going to make it. I finally got to my corner knowing my house was just at the end of the street and I'm praying oh God let me make it. Ok I made it to my house and now trying to do the bathroom dance and unlock the door wasn't an easy thing to do. I ran so fast and hard up the stairs I think my feet hit the staris once. I was pulling my sweat pants down as I was running to the bathroom and almost tripping on them that wouldn't have been pretty. But yes I made it and just in time any longer and I wouldn't have. You know its very hard to ride your bike and run upstairs while trying to squeeze your butt checks together. That was close butt *laugh* other then that I have had no problems with OD the first 3 days I had headaches and now I'm better no more headaches. I haven't weighed myself I never weigh myself. I go by how my clothes fit and I will tell you I have went from an x large to a medium in blouses. I can see the muscles in my arms again... wow they are still there how about that they didn't run off. This is with taking OD non stop, no breaks Friday will be my 3rd week straight. I have had no problems well except that one time with the bike and we won't talk about that one time again Ok!!!
So that is what has happened to me so far on OD... any other stories from anyone else like mine, no I bet not *laughing* . (: | Got2Lose

ok so I started my second week on the od today. I was supposed to start yesterday but forgot my pills and by the time I remember i was already at work couldnt turn around. But again I feel so energetic today. About 20 minutes after I took the pills I could feel the energy surge. It wasnt jittery just a whole lot of energy hitting me at once. I swear when I walked into work today I was waving at everyone and basicly bouncing off the walls. My boss asked if i took crack lol. I also have the sudden urge to clean every baseboard in the office(of course I wont, Ive got work to do!) lol but other than that no side effects(except a slight urge to use the bathroom often). I havent weighed myself in a little over a week so hopefully I will see some results today altho I can already see the difference here and there it appears that I am losing weight in my waist. which is f-a-b-ulous! I am still doing the workout that Max recommended Im guessing it is working if I am seeing the difference. So thanks Max! anywho I hope this is working for other ppl I'm sorry to hear some of the things thats happened to you all hint biking while having to poo kinda sucks lol. but I give you props for getting through that! Anonymous: Yes you should be eating in between the doses. Take the morning dose then eat 30 minutes later. Then in the afternoon take you dose and then eat 30 minutes after that. If you dont eat you will be using your protein that you have stored. U dont wana do that. Thats why they say to eat 5 times a day. 5 small meals that is. | zoe

Day 2 of 2nd week on OD...
Yesterday, Monday, was great...it was good to be back on the OD!! LOTS of energy...and lots of bathroom trips again. The best part was that I didn't get the extreme jitters and nausea like last time...just the big boost of energy. I do find it hard to eat my between-meal-snack as OD really does suppress my appetite...but if I don't eat *something* then I get a stomach ache. So I have to kind of force myself to eat something small to keep my metobolism working...I just had an apple yesterday...but I have nuts and fat-free, light yogurt on hand as well.
Today...so far so good!! I didn't have time to work out yesterday so I'm getting ready to do that today...20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 on the bike. I have the most energy in the morning about an hour after I take the pills and eat breakfast...but that's when the bathroom trips start too so it should be interesting to see how exercising goes. Fortunately my exercise equipment is in the basement so the bathroom is just a few steps away!
The scale says I'm back down 4 (water) pounds...which is a good thing because I'm on my period this week and I usually spike 3 or 4 pounds. That didn't happen this time. Hopefully...between the extra exercise last week and the pills this week...I can keep the weight off next week!!
For those asking about a meal schedule... I take my first pills at 7:30am and eat breakfast about 8am... Snack about 10-10:30am (fruit or nuts or yogurt) 2nd sent of pills about noon and eat lunch around 12:30... Snack about 3ish (fresh vegies or cottage cheese or string cheese) Then dinner between 5 and 6pm I don't go to bed until around midnight so I throw one more small snack in about 8 or 9pm...usually Curves light popcorn sprinkled with Splenda.
I am curious to hear WHAT people are eating. Are you watching fat...carbs?? Big breakfast...small dinner?? How are you handling the food issue of weight loss?
I do eat cereal and bread but they are fiber filled bran and whole wheat. I have wheat pasta and brown rice and potatoes but I DO NOT eat crackers, pretzels, chips, rice cakes or anything with white flour and empty carbs. Saturdays are my "splurge" days and I let myself eat whatever I want...the rest of the week I'm careful!
Okay...off to the treadmill. ugh!

I think I am going to try to take only the morning 4 of the OD and see if my appetite stays suppressed without the second set. I know yesterday evening I felt like I was starving but nothing I thought of to eat sounded appealing and I even felt nauseous seeing certain foods. On a good note though I weighed myself Sunday morning and was down 5lbs in just 2 days! Yipee! I'm also trying to get back into doing Pilates. I really enjoy that.
I feel for ya Max...that sounds like something that would happen to me only I probaby wouldn't have made it to the house. | megamommiex5

So, if you can stick with it a bit longer it does seem to get better!!
Good Luck! | Booga

This is Day 2 of the OD for me. No heartburn this morning, and still no jitters. Wondering about the sleeplessness though. Hubby is traveling and I can never sleep when he's gone (house makes to many noises) so, as usual, I was up late vegging in front of the t.v. Don't know if it was absent hubby or OD? Funny thing was I couldn't just sit there - I ended up color sorting all of the kids' perler beads...No desire to clean baseboards yet, but very pleased the beads are sorted. Amazing what *crap* there is on t.v. at 1 am.
Regarding appetite, I was really surprised how I wasn't hungry at all yesterday. I made myself eat throughout the day a little bit though, so I didn't screw up my metabolism, but the times where I'm always feeling munchy during the day, I didn't. I do need to figure out a way to break the habitual problems, like feeling like I need to buy a diet coke after dropping all the kids off (I figure if I want it, I'm not allowed to keep it in the house and have to make an effort to get it). I went the whole day without a single soda yesterday, and didn't have the usual headache from doing so. I'm afraid the gas station guy will miss me though.
Regarding diet - this is what I usually eat, but with the OD yesterday I knocked out all the little nibbles during the day:
Pills at 7 am, then drop off kids Breakfast at a little after 8 is a banana and maybe some cereal or yogurt Snack around 10, today a string cheese stick Pills around 12:30, with lunch about 1 Lunch - Yesterday it was some turkey and some apples - amazing how hard it was to eat it - really NOT hungry Snack around 4 pm - Some jerky (gasp) Dinner was kind of frantic because we had people over to help on some yard stuff so I mostly just snacked on some turkey and veggies. Around 12 am I was hungry again finally and had a snack before bed (probably not great, but knew my growling tummy would keep me awake).
One question - I'm not a big water drinker. I drank alot with my pills yesterday (plain water), but also drank Propel during the day. Any thoughts about Propel??
Thanks!!! | Irish Girl

I felt like a big pile of goo for the rest of the evening, so I went to bed wicked early. This morning, I was up at the same time I always get up, but I was tired this morning. Has anyone noticed any side effects if they have a few beers, or wine? How about hard booze? I was wondering if booze intensifies the side effects.. hmm... Hello everyone - I've got 3 questions which it would be great if you could help me with. 1. I bought my tablets from www.orovo.com, is this where everyone else gets theirs? 2. Some people on here have mentioned taking a fat burner with the orovo - I have only bought the orovo will they work as well alone or do I need the fat burner? If so, where do I get it from? 3. Some people on here say they are taking up to 10 pills at a time?! My instructions only say to take 1-2 before brekfast and lunch - whats going on? Thanks for your help! G xx | JESSI*GRL

megamommiex5: thanks for the info. I am glad to know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I only took one set today and I still feel a nauseous but not near as bad as the last couple of days. I was thinking maybe it is caused by an ingredient in the pills my body isn't agreeing with at the moment. I will continue on though. I honestly do think this is a good product. | Khrysty

alright, so I've been following this thread since before I started OD, but haven't felt the need to comment yet.
Many of you complain of nausea with these pills. I read earlier that after talking to some representatives, some of you were told to cut the dairy and meat out of your meals. For the first few days I ate as I normally do (light meals, two or three times a day) as I don't really get hungry and don't crave snacks. I felt mild to intense nausea immediately after eating.
Today I tried the "vegan" lifestyle suggested by the Orovo reps. So far so good, no nausea. We'll see how this goes. (yes, I am replacing the proteins..never fear!)
I haven't weighed myself and today is day 5 on my first week. I've noticed that my stomach, legs, and arms (which have been persistently large since elementary school) have shrunk noticeably. This is encouraging.
I am a little worried that my off-week will result in the gaining back of that weight.
As I've said, I'm not a big eater which is why "diets" never work for me. I pretty much just skip the crappy stuff and go straight to the good food. I've also been overweight most of my life. I'm 5'4" and weigh about 165 pounds (the last time I checked). I'm hoping that by adding OD to my exersize regimen will yield better results than exercise alone has had in the past.
We shall see :) | Booga

GeorgieGirlUK - I bought mine from e-bay and paid around US$85 for two bottles (incl. shipping/handling) of the Orovo Detox. The instructions on the bottles I purchased say "Take 4 capsules 30 minutes before breakfast and lunch with at least 12-16 ounces of water. Use for 7 days followed by 7 days off before starting your next 7 day cycle. Results utually improve with each 7 day cycle." No clue on the fat burner. Did you buy the regular pills or the Detox version? | Khrysty

Also-- GeorgieGirlUK: For regular Orovo it's two pills twice a day, for OD it's four pills twice a day, and for the 7DFB is six pills in the morning. Most people talking about 10 pills are taking OD and 7DFB at once. (and that, my friends, is a lot of pills) | bigmomma

hello! Has anyone tried the detox pills along with the South Beach diet? I have become an orovo distributer and have been on them for a month. Lost 7lbs but would like to kick it up a notch. I'm 33yrs old, 5'2, currently at 229lb. I find my joints have not been hurting as much..and my skin has more pimples than ever. I normally have really pretty, clear skin. Maybe its all the water?? I really want to lose 20lbs before the 4th of july, any suggestions? | Anonymous

i'm 54, 5'3", was 168 and climbing, suffer from high blood pressure, adrenal fatigue, anxiety, hypoglycemia. exercised regularly, treadmill, weights, could not lose weight for anything. I do NOT eat unhealthy foods, ie: sodas, sugars, processed wheat products, fast foods, etc. Decided to try Orovo, and drink herbal teas. I have lost 12 lbs. in one month. Curbs my appetite, i feel good. i ran out, my shipment got lost - and i am having a bit of trouble maintaining my desire for junk food. so, i know for a fact this does work (for all you skeptics). Just make sure you change your diet to a good healthy one like South Beach diet, get plenty of fiber foods, and drink lots of water. Eat smaller meals, and a snack in between. Now that I am on Orovo, it is much easier for me to do this. I don't have any more cravings, and I am in a happier mood for it. | Anonymous

mommamiles: I lost 25 pounds with SB 4 years ago so I know that diet works!!! I am pretty much following the maintenance week of SB now...adding back the fruits, dairy and whole grains but in limited amounts. I tried week one to jump start my diet but with 5 kids and an uncooperative husband...I gave up after a week and bought the OD. I'm only on week 2 of my first bottle of OD and so far I have just yo-yo'd up and down 5 pounds with water weight...but it does give me the energy and, at $50 a bottle, the motivation to work-out so that is a bonus. I have been doing 30-40 minutes of cardio a day this week, along with weights and toning, and I can feel my body changing even though the scale doesn't necessarily show a true fat weight loss. I know that combined with a healthy diet and exercise that I will lose the weight...even if it doesn't come off as fast as I'd like it to. 8-\
FYI...when you "detox" you force all the bad stuff out of your body. That happens in the form of extra bathroom trips with the OD and, with your skin, increased breakouts. BUT...it will get better when the toxins are all out. Then your skin should clear up too!! The increased water will actually help improve your skin in the long run.
Are you doing cardio?? 30-45 minutes a day at least 3 days a week is a must to really burn the fat...and ya gotta be sweatin'!! Right now I'm doing cardio 5-6 days a week. Add some weight training and that's a boost too as building muscle burns fat!

Just thought I'd share a few tips I came across!
How to take advantage of those "30 minutes"!!
For my morning set of pills I do 30-40 minutes of cardio between the pills and breakfast!! Doing cardio first thing in the morning has many benefits...and you can burn up to 300% more fat doing it on an empty stomach!
1. After 8-12 hours of sleep you have in fact fasted. So your body is getting low on glycogen. Which means you enter pure fat burning extremely fast, and sometime almost immediately.
2. When you have an empty stomach your body is not trying to process the food. There is no insulin present, which would create an environment that makes it difficult to burn fat. We want to burn the fat on our bodies not our food.
3. Doing cardio first thing in the morning is a great way to start the day. And as an added bonus your metabolism will be elevated for many hours after.
4. Morning cardio helps to regulate you appetite through out the day from the hormones released.
5. Cardio in the morning wakes you up and makes you feel alive.
6. The hardest/worst part of exercising is done first thing and you now have the entire day to look forward to!!

I think my issue is time prep for healthy food and emotional eating. If I could just stop eating high calorie food at night, i'm sure i'de lose alot more. I have a condition of pernicious anemia (i do not absorb vit b) which causes loss of energy. I used to think i was really depreased until my dr told me about my anemia. I used to get shots from the dr every week, but our insurance sucks and now they do not accept the new insurance. Anyway..I really need to lose!! Update... Day 4 of week 2 on OD... Everything is going great and I'm still down the 4 pounds since Monday...unlike week 1 where I had bounced back up 3 pounds by this time. YAY!!
I started really watching what I ate and trying to exercise about mid-March, and, after seeing no immediate results, I started on the Orovo Detox on April 21st.
I took my measurements on April 8th and again this morning...1 month later!
I have lost 3/4" off my chest and waist...1/4" off my arms...1/2" off my hips and 1" off my thighs. That's 3 1/4 inches over all!!
Do I credit this loss all to OD...NO!! I did my fair share of the work too. But the OD has cleaned out my system, supressed my appetite and given me tons of energy which, overall, has made the rest of my weightloss plan much more successful!! Do I think that (as "Renay" states) OD is a medical miracle pill...no. But, I DO think that it can be a healthy way to supplement diet and exercise. And if it helps me get up off my butt and do something...then that almost IS a miracle for me!! LOL

I am just finishing up my first week of OD, I am down 3lbs. I also work out 6 days a week, mon-cardio 1hr, tues upperbody 1hr, wed cardio 1hr, thurs BBT(butt,belly,thighs)1hr, fri cardio 1hr and sat upper/lower body combo, I have been watching what I eat and have kept this schedule for almost 8weeks now, as this applies to OD, I dont know if any of the wieght loss is directly from OD, becuz I work my but off and have pretty good willpower with the diet.... but as far as the energy it gives me, and the fact that you take it 30 mins before you eat, prevents impulse eating for me, ooops cant have that eggmcmuffin, need to go take my OD and wait 30 mins, then make a toasted english muffin with egg whites and FatFree cheese, If this product gives even 1/2 the ppl who take it the energy it gives me, it is worth its weight in Gold!! I am 28 yrs old, 5'4", have 6 kids (4 biologically), between pregnancy and life my weight has gone up and down, Ive been a size 2 and Ive been a size 11. thats a big range for a short crap as myself. Currently I started this program at 150, I had recently gone from working in a hot factory, doing very physical labor, making it easy to drop to a size 2 after my 4th child and maintain without effort, to a desk job where I have recently been promoted to Manager. I now work mostly 9-6ish. AND my company LOVES food, lots of company buying lunches, meetings at resteraunts, and rewards are even food! so Ive gained alot of weight and lost alot of muscle, all in less than a year. very depressing, I know where all of you are coming from, I see a little of me in everything I read, I am now down to 139.5 as of weigh in this week, I decided to do OD for the energy I was reading about, AWESOME, with 6 kids and a fulltime Job, plus working out, I was drained! this product is a dream come true. I must admit I am a little nervous about the week off.... hope the energy level doesnt completely crash! also, haha, I havent heard anything for awhile, and Im too lazy to look back to see who wrote it, but she increased urge to "make love" is also definately a side effect. not that it was a problem before, but I take these at work!! haha, just wondering if anyone else has had that since it was mentioned last.. I wish all of you the best of luck, and will update when I can, I think that doing ANYTHING to help your body, is way better than just sitting back complaining and doing NOTHING!! plus with this product you cant help but get off you a$$!! Hello all! Quick background first: Female; 28 years old; 5ft 8in; currently 174lbs; overweight my whole life; Bachelors degree in business (we are not idiots on this site!).
For 10 years I have been working out regularly (5 days a week, both cardio and weights for over an hour each workout). Eating healthy (approx 1200 - 1500 calories a day). I originally lost about 50lbs, but it is next to impossible to lose the last 20 - 30lbs.
I received my OD in the mail on Monday, I've had issues with migraines and after reading other side effects, I was going to wait till the weekend before I started. That didn't last! I started slow, Wed - Fri was only ONE pill 1/2 hour before breakfast and lunch (I also have a small snack in between the two meals), then today (Saturday) was two pills before breakfast and lunch.
So far: no headaches, no problems! I notice I feel something similar to heartburn but not nearly as bad. With only two pills in a day I noticed I'm not as hungry as normal. I've also been eating a low carb diet this week. I stepped on the scale this morning and have lost 3 pounds this week. I don't know if it's the low carb or the OD, but I do know the OD has helped my system work a little better. Not that everyone wants to hear this but my system is not regular! Normal for me is two or three times in a week (going poo! that sounds so funny!), with the OD, it's daily. For that alone I think this is a good product! I've tried eating all Bran every day for breakfast for six months straight and that did absolutely nothing for me!
I noticed a couple people asking about taking both the OD and 7dfb, if you read way back at the beginning of the blog, I think someone called the customer support and asked. Since the OD combines both weight loss and detox, you should only take the OD or you can take the 7dfb with the regular Orovo.
I'm going to bump up to 3 pills before breakfast and lunch tomorrow and see if I have any increased side effects, if not, I'll probably just do the six a day (total) for the rest of the week. Since I've already noticed some good results with just two a day (total) I don't want to overload my system. I've had some bad side effects with other weight loss pills and I don't want to tempt fate!
Sorry! I just noticed how long this is! I'll update on my progress next weekend.
Thanks for the supportive environment, this site is awesome! | Big Mark London

Greetings all - Love this thread. I am a 35 year ol male, 5'8, weighing in at 173 pounds (i dont normally do pounds but i think 12 stone 5 equates to 173lb)
I took my 1st dose of Orovo X-treme yesterday (the most powerful dietary supplement you can buy and one not to be complacent with!!)I was pretty excited about the order arriving, and having opened the bottle, which smelt so lovely, like fruits and berries, i jumped straight in with 6 pills without reading the directions. Within 30 minutes i lost all urges to eat and smoke. food just looked foul and i had no nicotine craving, (i even told my daughter i would never smoke again and through a nearly whole pack of cigarettes in the bin) and also had this incredible need to mow my mothers lawn!!! it was a glorious day, the sun was shining and i felt good so i got involved with some hard labour! Brilliant.... Absolutely amazing stuff!!!
But sadly, 2 hours after that, i considered calling an ambulance, as i thought it was curtains for me!!!!
I have to admit, that in my younger days, i dabbled in class 'A' drugs, and can only describe what was happening to me, after taking Orovo X, as the worst LSD trip ever. Really really bad feelings....!!!
At this point, i had not put 1 and 1 together, and had not considered it was Orovo that had affected me like this. I thought it was sun stroke. I ended up going home and thought i could sleep it off. But the panic was really kicking in by now, my heart was racing, my brain wasn't functioning, i had this feeling i was going to pass out, and had to call my partner and ask her to come home, as i didn't trust myself around my children (i had images of my kids finding my dead on the floor!!!)... Horrible horrible awful feelings.... This went on four about 7 hours then eased up in the early hours of the morning.
The next day, (today) i went again - 6 more tablets... And once more, i was close to death..... Honestly it was that bad!!!
My stupidity had not allowed me to consider the possibility that Orovo was the culprit but then my mother called. She was most irate, claiming i was trying to poison her???? I as like 'what are you talking about'?? She responded with 'Those bloody tablets!!!'
Because of the positive things i told her yesterday, after i took Orovo the 1st time at her house, she asked me to leave her 6 tablets so she could try.
She did, and they had the same effect on her as me. Fortunately she only took 3 which didn't last as long thank god as she is on medication for blood pressure.
After realising it could only be the tablets, i decided to read the instructions properly. They read that for the 1st 3 days you are only supposed to take 3 tablets while your body adjusts....!!! Doh.. What a silly boy i am!!!
I do believe these bad boys to be the real deal and will continue to use them (i took just 2 about 2 hours ago with no adverse effects at all)
Let me know if anyone is interested how i get on taking Orovo, i know these threads can go on and on and interest is lost, but you may want to know what happens from a male prospective.
Let me know and the best of luck to you all | Big Mark London

You have no idea what you are saying.....!!!
Great examples of magic pills are, St Johns Wort, a powerful all natural pharmacuitcal which can be just as effective as any man made anti-depressent. St Johns Wort is natures Prozac. Relives depression with 0 side effects.
5HTP, a precursor to Seritonin. Basicly your body converts 5HTP into seritonin (feel good chemical) Carbs also provide small amounts of seritonin which is why we all crave carbs. Because of the seritonin that is provided by carbs, you do feel good (for a few mins) but you put on pounds also. 5HTP is a far better option....

ohh my god......am i doing something wrong....??? I orderd thru ebay 1 course of 7dfb & 1 course of orova diet supplement....have i bought the wring thing i have gained 4lb....not impressed...i was advised to take 6 fat burner pills b4 breakfast & lunch, which i did, tho i was also on my period, tho thought that the no weight movement was down to this and the fact i went out drinking 1 night and had a blast(i dont recomend as i was drunk rather quickly but somehow couldnt stop drinking even tho i know i should have! my moods went up and down, as 1 min i was cheery and upbeat party style, then next i was very emotional!)! I also upped my exercise and ate nothing but salads and veg! so when i was advised 2 wait a week b4 starting the next next step the orova pills, i thru caution 2 the wind and only had a 1 day break and started the next step! you are supposed to take 1-2 pills half hour b4 breakfast and lunch, which i followed exactly! i must admit i have introduced some pizza and chips into the diet this week....but surely 1nite of this, did not lead to 4lb gain! this is my last day before i take the recommened 1wk break, and i am sarting to feel really annoyed that i have wasted my money on crap, when i could have bought something that wouldnt make me gain weight! feely really low and depressed, can anyone recommend ANYTHING....i just want to now lose 1 stone (due to gain!) xx | Anonymous

hello again, have completed my 1st week on orovo original. great news! i'm down 5.2lbs. i know (water weight) but even water is heavy. i should have measured because my scrubs that i work in that are normally tight fitting now have some slack in them at the arms and legs!!! other than daily activities and work , i don't do any exercise, although i have been feeling like doing more every day. i can stand and walk my whole 12hr shift without taking frequent breaks, but my legs are hurting. so i guess i have increased some in exercising. i fill full all the time, my evening meal i have skipped frequently . the burning in my stomach i had at first has stopped as long as i remember to eat.as for renay... now as a nuse by trade i fully know that pills can or can not help with any conditions. herb/natural/manufactured ect . all were made by some scientist . so if your willing to take a rx med for pain control fully trusting in it to work, why not try diet meds ? all meds have side effects and all meds don't act the same in person to person or have the same side effects. but this is totally our choice and i am going to continue to use orovo while i fill that it is working for me. but i am smart enough to know if a side effect is harming me more than obesity itself. good luck will check in later. | Big Mark London

Day 3 on Orovo X... Energy levels are off the chart, 5 pounds lighter (i just do not feel hungry and am only eating for my health) and my eyes are glowing (i think my eyes are glowing because Orovo X, with all its wonderful antioxidants, is cleaning my liver) . I absolutely love this product... The side effects are still occuring but by no means as intense as day 1, but this is easy to control as i know its just the tablets working.
I cant imagine what the effects will be once i have adjusted enough to handle 12 tablets a day as recomended ( i am only on 4 a day at the moment due to the side effects ) but if the last 3 days are anything to go by, the rather large belly i have inherited over the last few years may become a thing of the past....!!!! Mark - I've done the 7DFB and the Orovo Original so I have a little experience with it, but I'll take your advice and start slow. I got my Orovo Extreme today. I want to start taking it tomorrow, but I need to travel to Atlanta Wednesday and Thursday and I know I can't take the lunch doses on my business trip. Also, don't want to risk travelling with it and getting in trouble. | Booga

Booga, I have not taken a break. I have been taking them straight thru and I find nothing is any different. The only thing I can say is different is I'm really thirsty as before I wasn't other then that nothing has changed for me. I will say I have gone from an x large to now a medium now. My jeans are now baggy. I was wearing a size 12,10 and now I'm a tight 8. So the OD is working plus I walk everyday and do 120 situps. Next I want to try the extreme and see how it feels. Wishing everyone the best. (: | Booga

I ordered the orovo and fat burner on Fri and received it today. I decided to start off with half doses for a few days to see how my body reacts before using full doses. I weigh 122 lbs and would like to lose 10 lbs. It's been hard to lose these 10 lbs because my I am 39 yrs old and premenopausal. I am hoping this will work along with exercise and cutting out sweets. Will update =) | FLChick

I am on my third day of orovo detox, I don't feel very good. I have been reading the posts and many of you have had some side effects including naussea, I want to know when this sick feeling will end. I will continue the normal dosage, I do exercise and the OD has increased my energy levels, but I don't like the naussea feeling and dizziness. Does anyone have any advice about getting rid of this or will it go away as time passes. I haven't weighed myself yet, I will wait until the end of my first cycle.:( | Karen

hi everyone, i have been reading all the comments for a few days and made up my mind to order. still waiting so i am very hopefull it will give me the jump start i need. beebee, i read your question about increasing the dose of orovo original. the orovo original dosage is 2 pill before breakfast and 2 before lunch. the people taking 4 are taking 4 orovo detox which is regular orovo+7dfb together in one pill. you are already getting the recommended dosage it is not good to go higher. people who are increasing dosage are starting lower than the recommended dose lets say 1 pill at a time and then going up to the recommended dose.good luck and give it time. | mona

Just a quick one today, for those of you who have asked about drinking alcohol while on the OD:
I had a few drinks Sunday afternoon (after taking 3 OD pills), I don't recommend it! I felt drunker than normal and a little dizzy. When I started to come down from my buzz (which felt like I was both stoned and drunk!), I had absolutely NO energy, it was like my arms and legs weighed a hundred pounds each! I didn't get my energy back until the next morning. I was ok when I had a couple drinks in the evening, so maybe you just have to give your system some time to process the OD before you drink any alcohol? I would suggest, that if you're going out for drinks: have less than normal, and space them out until you see how the OD effects you. Hope that helps! | whitter

Let me start by saying this is a great site alot of info, both for the good and not so good. I think the one thing everyone has to remember is that there will probably never be any one pill that will work for absolutely everyone. For those that are saying this is a scam, I don't think that Orovo has claimed that without a doubt everyone will lose 7 lbs a week. There are alot of factors that need to be taken in to account. I am no expert on anything other than struggling with weight issues most of my life but I do know that genetics, food habits, exercise, stress, sleep, age, hormones, enviroment and dedication all play major roles in losing, gaining and maintaining weight. So I think that we should compare apples to apples here in order to be fair to everyone. As for myself both my mom and grandmother carry extra weight, not obese, one strike against me. I am a pretty healthy eater, I don't eat fast food, usually if I do eat out I'll go with a salad, grilled chicken or turkey, fresh veggies etc, so I do pretty good there. I exercise very regularly 45 mins to 2 1/2 hours 5-7 days a week. Mostly cardio but I do implement toning and weight training, need to do more weights. Mmm stress, well I have a 17 yr, youngest of 3 boys only one at home, who is smarter than anyone else and refuses to learn from his mistakes, my middle son just graduated college after 5 years and is fixing to be a server at a pizza place someone please make me understand this, my oldest is fixing to have his first baby with a woman who is the only person in history to have ever had a child so it seems and expects to be treated royally who now has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia, a husband who works a full time and part time job as a paramedic and thinks that his pay checks are the only necessary contributions that he needs to make to the household, a mother who lives about 6 miles from me and thinks that everything is an emergency and needs my immediate attention. i work for a 911 center overseeing personnel who by the way I believe all think they are in kindergarten. So my stress level is medium high to off the charts depending on the day. Sleep wise i'm getting much better i average 6 1/2 - 7 hours most of time, up from my 4-5 hours before. Hormones uh well ya could be a factor gonna have those tested one day. All of my other levels cholesterol, triglycerides sugar etc are perfect. I am a very light smoker and have managed to lose 15 lbs since Feb. So what i'm hoping to get out of this is possibly instead of 1/2 -1 lb a week maybe 2-3, if not consistently then just a few times would really make me feel better. While 7 lbs a week would be incredible and the numbers would look great i just don't think that would be the least bit beneficial or practical. Not that something like that can't be done, I'm a big fan of the biggest loser, but that would be a definite exception to the rule. I'm not sure that would be really healthy in the long run anyway. one thing most experts agree on is that the slower it comes off the more likely it is to stay off. All this being said, I started my regiment with Orovo detox yesterday. Morning dose no problems a little bit of a tingly sensation lasted only a few minutes, had my normal cheerios and banana for breakfast, wasn't hungry for my mid morning fiber one yogurt. Lunch time dose same thing, never experienced any jitterness, gas, diarrhea or any other side effects. No problem going to sleep, no excess bowel movements, i do take fiber daily so that may be why. Today is my second day, just finished lunch and so far the same results. I forgot to weigh yesterday but did this morning so I'll let you know next week if there are any significant results or not. I promise this is the longest i will write just needed to be sure to make my point. Wish me luck. | 6packmommy

I ONLY HAD 20LBS TO LOSE AND BEEN TRYING TO LOOSE THEM FOR YEARS I TRIED OROVO DETOX AND I FELT NOTHING, I APPLAUD EVERYONE WHO HAS MANAGED SOME SUCCESS FROM THIS PROGRAM BUT I THINK THE SUCCESS IS CONTINGENT ON THE DIFFERENCE OF VANITY POUNDS VS. OBESITY NO DISRESPECT INTENDED. THIS CAN BE VIEWED AS SPECULATION BUT WHEN I DECIDED TO EXERCISE BY WALKING UP A 2 MILE MOUNTAIN I HAD EXERCISE BUDDIES W/ME WHO WERE BASICALLY ON THE SAME PLAN BUT OBESE WHILE I LOST MAYBE 5LBS DURING A 3 WEEK COURSE THEY WERE DROPPING 10-20LBS I WAS HAPPY FOR THEM BUT REALIZED IT WOULD TAKE MORE THAN THE WALK UP THE MOUNTAIN TO BOOST MY METABOLISM ANYWAY I'M SEARCHING FOR A NEW PRODUCT AND I'M CONSIDERING THE 2 DAY JAPANESE DIET |
