Orovo

Summary

Orovo is a diet product that claims to give you up to 10-15 pounds of weight loss in 7 days along with reductions of wrinkles lines and acne.

Description

Orovo was inspired by an Oprah program in which "10 super foods" were presented which give you "Age-Defying Beauty" by Dr. Nicholas Perricone. The wife of Orovo's CEO immediately tried these 10 super foods. While she didn't end up looking 10 years younger, she did lose 10 pounds and the acne she had struggled with was gone.

From that experience, Orovo was created. Of course, eating the 10 super foods was time-consuming and expensive. So, Orovo was created in pill form to condense all the essential ingredients in an affordable and easy to take form.

Orovo claims to give you 10lbs of weight-loss in 7 days, reduces lines and wrinkles as much as 90%, complete acne and blackhead cleared up in 30 days, while giving you motivation, happiness, and health and energy.

The 10 super-food ingredients are: Buckwheat, Alfalfa Sprouts, Lactobacillus Acidophilus (yogurt), Flaxseed, Garlic, Soybeans, Wheat Grass, Barley, Cayenne Pepper, and Acai. Orovo adds 4 more ingredients: Green Tea, Alpha Lipoic Acid, DMAE, and Idebennone.

Hey guys,
Thank you for the recommendations, I have been feeling a little better b'cause I've changed my pill dosages. I take two OD in the morning 5:30am before work-out. Then two 30min before breakfast (had to get used to eating breakfast). Later I take another two around 11am and final two 30 min before lunch which is at 1pm. this has helped my stomach not get such a hard hit from the pills. Maybe this will work better for me. I have been drinking plenty of water, but my doctor recommends I drink water with minerals like gatorade so I keep electrolytes and minirals in my body. I supposed to give her updates on these pills to make sure all is OK. I will weigh myself this sunday, hopefully I lost some weight.

I have just read the posts on here and have to say that I think it is awesome that everyone is here sharing their experiences with Orovo and other dieting experiences and work out suggestions. I ordered Orovo regular and started taking it today. So far no side effects other then I do feel a bit more alert. My reason for purchasing Orovo was not to loose weight, but if I loose a couple inches, bonus. For years I have visited herb stores and holistic dealers and have been taking many different herbs to promote good health.I purchased Orovo because alot of the herbs that I buy seperatley for consumption are included in the super foods contained in Orovo, thus saving me money. I will post if I see any weight loss or inches lost for all to see in the future. Good luck to all of you in your quest to lose weight and keep posting, one of the best support groups that I have seen regarding a product on the WEB.

I forgot to add a thought...when taking anything one does not know how the your body is going to react, start out slow feel the reactions that you might experience and then adjust the dosage accordingly. It has been my experience with a very wise chinese holistic lady that each herb purchased is tested against my body to see if my body will accept it, just because someone says to take 6 pills does not mean that it will work for your body, start slow and move forward, listen to what your body is telling you!!!

Go to an herb store and get organic coconut oil, this is the most natural product there is to help with your thyroid. The cool thing is that you can cook with it, take it be the spoonfuls, put it in smoothies, on toast, good for your skin etc., look it up on the internet you will be amazed. I have been using it now for a couple months and I cannot believe the difference.

Hi there! I thought I was going to go permanently cross-eyed after going through the commentary!! I loved it, but eyestrain won out & I toggled down...has anybody tried the Orovo Extreme yet? Also, aren't the Detox & 7DFB both poop pushers to cleanse us until our arse screams? I'm confused now. As a Mommy of 2; one almost 3 year old active girls, I can't poop even once a day w/o sharing the experience or somebody having an emergency - if we're really just drinking a lot & pooping the days away, couldn't we do that w/ fiber, water & apple juice? Last, I take Cymbalta; anyone else w/ anxiety drugs using Orovo?

Never tried dieting before; but I suddenly have changed from fit to "Can't fit" & wanna fix it! Don't count calories, am clueless about fats, but prepare decent meals & always have healthy stuff for us. Whose jell-o is in my shorts, damn it?

this site is hysterical, i love it. my husband and i both started the ortho detox at the same time. I work out for a living (personal trainer) but i drink too much, honestly only have a few extra pounds that only i can see. I was looking for something i could recomend to my clients. After 4 days I woke up with pain in my left kidney, so i stoped taking it for a couple of weeks. (has any one else had any promblems with the bladder or kidneys) I started taking it again 6 days ago but i'm only taking 2 pills twice a day with a cranberry suplement. no problems so far. i havent weighed myself but i feel like i might be down a little. my husband took it for 6 days and he started haveing pain in the bladder area, so he just stopped and wont try it again. He also couldnt tell that he lost any weight.

any way i'm encouraged by the comments on this site and am going to give this stuff a fair chance. would love to find something that i feel good about recomending to my clients.

girly mom, i also take cymbalta

I have thyroid goiters, to answer your question, this is my second day using orovo detox, so far so good. I have started day 1 with 2 pill at a time and today I am up to 3 pills at a time. I have not had any side effects except feeling slight burning as pills go down which immediately went away as I drank water. I am trying to drink 2 cups per pill, which leads to my 2nd noticeable side effect"frequent bathroom" trips to loose the water. I will let you know how i progress. good luck.

Thanks to DGE and MONA, I have been taking OD and love it, but my mother has a severe thyroid problem, and has been on daily meds for years. She is also over weight. We live in a small town, and the Doctors here are very small town. Definately are not on board at taking any "pills" for losing weight, even if they are all natrual. She cant take most of the weight loss drugs out there becuz of her thyroid, but considering this is completely natrual I am wondering if it would be okay. She would love to try it, but is scared. Thanks for the advise everyone!! Really gonna buckle down this week as my weigh in is this week and I am in the running to win $500, very close race. I am trying the "miracle noodles" someone recommended awhile ago on here, first time this week, no carbs no calories, hmmmmm, we will see! good look everyone!!

As stated before I just started taking the Orovo regular. First day I spent most of my day in the bathroom, I also found myself a bit disoriented. Second day not many trips to the bathroom, severe heart palpations, and my left kidney is hurting, and i'm constipated, I have discontinued taking this all together after only 4 pills. I have taken many herbs in the past and never had any kind of reaction like I have had to this. If anyone is interested in purchasing this bottle with 4 pills missing at a discount rate let me know!!!

I finished the bottle of OD and lost no weight, I went straight through no time off. I had just headaches when I first started and then later my kidney's started hurting so I rested a day or two then started back up with no problms but still no weight loss. NOTHING!!!! I think its great for the ones who have lost but I don't think I will be buying another bottle. To be truthfull it did nothing for me. But I'm use to taking stuff like this but I was hoping it would kick start me but oh well I will have to do it the old fashion way.... that is to just be good and exercise. So I wish every one luck on this journey. I'm still going to read the blogs. (:

Just checking in...

I started my 3rd week of OD yesterday. It was a long day. Where I experienced few side effects during my second week I had the jitters yesterday to the point that I had a hard time sleeping. NOW...I did get up late yesterday morning and didn't take my breakfast pills until 10am so lunch came about 1:30...this may have something to do with the sleep problems. Due to no sleep last night I got up late again this morning so I'll just take one set of pills today and try to get up earlier tomorrow. But so far no side effects today.

Just to recap my total experience...
I started OD on April 21st and I weighed 163 pounds...today I weighed in at 156 pounds. Last week, my off week, I maintained 158 pounds so I'm sure the 2 pound loss yesterday is due to water/waste weight loss. So...I would say that I have lost about 5 pounds (of fat) while taking OD.
If you've read my earlier posts you know that I'm also exercising 6 days a week...at least 30 minutes of cardio plus free weights and pilates...and keeping my calories between 1200 & 1500 a day so I do not credit the weight loss totally to the OD. I DO believe that it has detoxed my body and given me the extra energy to work out and therefore I DO think that is has been beneficial in helping me lose the weight.
This is my last week on the OD as I will be out of pills and don't have the funds to invest in another 2 bottles at this time. BUT...I have developed a good habit of working out and eating healthy and, if I can keep that up, I don't think I will need the OD anymore. It gave me the incentive I needed to get up and get moving and so I would say that it was very successful for me.

To answer a few of the latest questions...
--Anonymous101...NO yeast infections for me. If you have extra weight that significantly stretches the skin ANY weight loss...quickly or slowly...may leave you with loose skin. That may or may not shrink over time.
--My husband started taking OD at the same time I did but had to discontinue dur to a conflict with another medication he is taking...he also experienced kidney and bladder pain while taking the OD. I told him to drink more water.
--I DO NOT think that you can JUST take the OD and hope to lose weight or keep the weight off...you have to do your part and eat right and exercise. That will be the key to keeping the weight off once you stop taking the OD.
--Booga...Your headaches are probably due to caffeine withdrawals. There are a lot of stimulants in the OD and taking it for 2 weeks straight then stopping cold turkey is probably not a good thing.
--Lorna T...I personally feel that the initial weight loss is water and "waste" loss. I don't think it's healthy or possible to lose 5 pounds of fat in one day like I did in my first week. The fat loss comes later with proper eating and exercise. The OD website says the following..."the main underlining cause of weight gain affecting Over 70% of Men and Women especially is TOXIC BUILD UP! Toxins can compromise key metabolic and glandular functions resulting in an extremely slow metabolism and a prepensity to weight gain. These toxins make it harder for your organs to function optimally and slow down your metabolism resulting in increased body fat and low energy levels." OD wasn't made to burn fat...it just removes the toxins so that YOU can do what it takes to lose the weight.

Sorry for the super long post...Good luck to everyone!!

NikkiK...I'm 37 years old, 5'11" and have 5 children ranging in ages from 4 to 16. I want to get down to about 150/152. I started at 163lbs 5 weeks ago and I'm down to 156/158 now...but I did not get there just with the OD. I've been busting my butt 6 days a week and eating right.
You can definitely do it without the OD...I've done it before---went from 174 down to 150 after my last baby...but OD did give me the energy to get up and get moving.

Thanks megamommiex5 for the motivation.
I am going to start with the protein shakes and working out since I am at home all the time now. It seems easier to eat the 4-5 small meals everyday when I am at home and not at work. I used to take hydroxycut and that helped me lose weight - it got my heart pumping, made me drink a lot of water and gave me energy. Does the orovo make you feel the same way?
I have been researching the orovo for a while now - just haven't taken the plunge yet.

Hi, I decided to share my experience here, since this site gave me the guts to try orovo detox.
I just started today, and it was my first day, first experince.
I got my bottle from ebay, by the way, so I don't have to be involved in any kind of business.

I did not have any kind of side effects like some of the people mentioned.
I was healthy and felt hunger as well...and I'm sleepy now.
I had to go to the bathroom more than usual, but I drank 2 glasses of water each time when I took the pill, and I am not sure OD had the diuretic effect.
As for the detox part, I burped several times and was a bit gassy. (sorry...)
I never burp unless I drink soda or something. And it smelled just like that pill. (You know the smell if you own OD!!It's bad!)

I usually weigh myself before breakfast, so I cannot tell if I lost any weight or not.
But maybe not. yet.
I do exercize for about 30-50 min every morning, but it's not making me thinner.
Well, I will post more.

I bought the Orovo detox pill even though I said that I wouldn’t take any more diet pills. The last bottle of pills I took was many years ago (because I hate to take those big pills. It always seem that they would be stuck in my throat) and I didn’t lose any weight. However, since that time I had seriously exercised and played a lot of tennis and lost weight. By doing this I went from approximately 170 to 130 lbs. It took months to lose it.

Before I lost the weight I had nice curves and I like them, but when I lost that much weight I lost my curves so I thought I’d eat whatever I wanted so that I could get my curves back. Well I stopped exercising and playing tennis a lot because I was in school and had to study a lot. At this time it was also easier to just eat junk food (not necessarily fast food), so all the weight I’d work so hard to lose came right back very quickly.

Fast forward to the present-- I couldn’t afford to go to the gym so I decided I wanted a quick fix. After searching the internet I saw Orovo Detox and decided to take it. I had doubts that I’d lose weight with this but I thought that the detoxing should be good.
Well my doubts were correct because I took the pills (even though I hated stuffing 4 of those big pills down my throat) like they said I should and I didn’t lose anything. I thought the detoxing effect should sent me to the bathroom but that didn’t happen, neither did my acne clearing.

I’m not saying that this won’t work for others but pills won’t work for me. The only thing that work is what I’ve done in the past—exercising at the gym.
Once I can afford to join the gym again then I know I’m guaranteed to lose weight. The truth be told, I also like and look forward to working out at the gym. To me it’s fun and I like the feeling of accomplishment that I get when I leave there.

Basically what I’m saying is that don’t expect the pills to help you lose weight. Fat is what we want to lose and the pills cannot dissolve the fat for us to lose the weight. If you can afford to join a gym do it. This is the sure-fire way to get what you want.
I hope this post will help someone. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

The only diet that has ever worked for me has been weight watchers, which I highly recommend, but I can't seem to get myself into it again. A jump start would really get my head where it needs to be. Also, and to be totally counter productive, If you're out there biotch hunter, I'd really love to have your mac n cheese recipe, it sounds heavenly. I started OROVO a week ago and have lost 6 lbs so far. But....I've also put myself on a very strict calorie-counting diet. I don't know if it's psychological or if the pills are really helping. I don't have much interest in food at all. But that could be due to the fact that the low-calorie intake is void of sugar and fat....not totally no fat, but very low as I know some fat intake is important.
As for exercise....I've never been one to exercise and am not doing it now. I've gained and lost a lot of weight over the years, all without exercise. Sorry....to those who are big believers in gym workouts/walking/cardio, etc....but I can't stand it and do the best I can without it. Please....no lectures, okay? LOL
I feel wonderful, no side effects, lots of energy, and feeling very optimistic that I can continue this regimen....with or without the pills.
I do have to add though, that I've read some disparaging reports on this company and their claims of what the pills can do. If this fails, or if I feel the need, I intend to switch to Miracleburn....better reviews, better instincts about the company overall.

I've read most all of the comments left from Jan 08 to this comment, May 23rd 08. It seems that no one has lost 25 pounds or more of FAT. No one has posted an actual body fat index at all either. We can easily lose 10 pounds of water or even several pounds of muscle before any significant FAT loss occurs. I won't be buying any pill to lose weight because no pill has caused me to gain weight. Junk Food and Sugary drinks like Soda make people fat. Being lazy makes people fat… I’ve sat here hoping that there’s some sort of magic pill that will make my body fat vanish… But the reality is I must just do the opposite of what made me this way. I made bad food choices before and now I must make good ones. I ate too much before and now I must eat less. I didn’t do ANY exercise before and now I must so SOME exercise.

I will cut out the fried foods and sodas.

I will do more physical activity than before.

I will be wise by saving my hard earned money.

I will do this for me and no one else.

Be happy, be healthy. Good luck.

Hi there.
It's my 4th day today. During the last three days, I lost 2lb. BUT, I doubt this is the effect of OD.
I had gained this extra 2lb in two days last week due to the salty food I ate. So I think this 2lb I have lost so far is just water.
But taking this pill has a psychological effect for me. I eat lots of snacks while I prepare lunch, but since I have to take the pills 30min berfore lunch, I get the feeling that I shouldn't eat anything at least for 30 min before lunch, and that stops me from snacking.
I also started drinking lots of Chinese tea, so this may have helped me get rid of the swelling.
Well, I hope I can tell you something happier at the end of this first cycle.

Dirty Corey...I have gone from 163 pounds to 155 pounds last checked this morning. I am lifting weights 3 days a week...doing cardio 6 days a week and doing pilates/toning exercises 3 days a week. As well as eating a heathly diet! My clothes fit better...I'm back in jeans I haven't been in for months...and I've lost over 4 inches overall. AND, believe me...there was NO "muscle" around my hips, thighs and butt to lose before the fat!! But there is now!! I can lift more weight now than when I started...I can run longer and at a higher intensity than when I started...and I can SEE the muscle in my arms, legs and abs. So, while I haven't lost 25 pounds (I only wanted to lose 10 anyway) I HAVE lost at least 5 pounds of FAT and GAINED muscle!!

If you had read any of MY posts...you would have seen the recent one that states that the soul purpose of Orovo Detox is to detox your body so it can perfom correctly and efficiently and therefore the efforts (YES...it does take effort) to lose weight are more effective.

AND...if you had read the previous posts...you would have seen that most of us ARE doing the necessary things to become healthy. OD is just the incentive we needed to get started...or keep moving.

I don't understand why people...who have never even USED this product...keep coming here and posting negative information. Don't you have anything better to do?? If you don't have something nice, helpful or supportive to say...GO AWAY!!!

got2lose, ok no lectures on the exercise but i hope your restricted calories arent too restricted. do a google search on your daily caloric needs. make sure you're eating enough cause if you dont get enough calories for your specific needs you will slow your metabolism down and thats the last thing you want. also be sure to divide those calories up into 5 or 6 small meals every day and start with breakfast. the best thing you can do is get your body used to metabolising food all day long. if your body knows your going to feed it again soon it will not try to save everything you give it. ( i know i said i wouldnt but building muscle will also boost your metabolism, sorry)

"This is the Original Biotch Hunter. Not the Spam one. Really, it's me.

Or is it?

Lame...Lame...Lame."

First off, Nancy (in Tucson,AZ)--if indeed that is really who you are, lame-un, don't come on here and try to act like me unless you have something totally worthless to say, like I usually do.

Oh yeah, you did have something totally worthless to say; we all might not really be who we appear to be because we are not on a secure web server.

Well, I hate to break your psycosis, but who really gives a crap? We are not on here trying to be any one particular type of person or into stealing identities. Up until now--this had been a cool site to give and get information on dieting, health, exercise, and yes, even sex education in the case of the poster who wondered if his ummmm would shrink if he dieted. It was fun to come on here and read about everyones progress and even failures. It was interesting and friendly and a huge support system for some of us when we realized maybe we are all not that different.

So if you or anyone else "GETS OFF" on coming on here and posing as somebody else--good luck with that. Have fun with that. What a boring little existance you must have.

BTW--only a LAME person would think acting like somebody else on a website was a national threat and then go about posing as others to prove their lame point.

I will tell you this much--I don't like people who specifically visit a fun website to try to rain on the parade, and I do believe in Karma. You better go kill a chicken.

Thanks for the nice comments. I have been off for quite some time and just came back and read through all the posts and left the comment for posergirl/boy above.

I have been off Orovo and on Allegra for my stupid allergies that I thought I had whipped. Apparently not so. I guess when the pollen is so bad it turns my white car a shade of pee yellow, I can expect some problems. Anyway--I am on the Allegra and too scared after reading the side effects to mix it with anything other than food. And even that has to be taken one hour after or two hours before taking the dose of Allegra.

What a pain in the rear. Speaking of--the little sawed off doc that diagnosed me reminded me of Poindexter the way he kept rubbing his hands together and saying "I think we need to give you a shot of steroids." He laughed when I told him no. I couldn't tell if he sounded more like Beavis or Butthead, but I do know this; he really wanted to put that needle in my big butt and I got out of there fast. Steroids are not my friends.

The mac recipe;

I boil a whole 22oz bag of Western Family(clue to my home state) Enriched Large Elbow macaroni, No1 Amber Durum Wheat in my largest pot. This stuff swells up huge when it is cooked, so use plenty of water for boiling. Salt to taste. When you are done, you will realize that you should have used less macaroni and will be mad at me, but I will have had the last laugh. Truthfully, you might want to use less if you aren't cooking for "Do these kids ever eat at home?"

While the mac is boiling, I do two loads of laundry, clean the catbox, clean the refrigerator and pick furballs off my sofa. You could do what I should have been doing and grate the cheese. But if you are really smarter than me, you will buy three bags of pre-grated Tillamook (another hint)chedder, one sharp and two medium, and one bag of monterey jack, so four bags total. Each bag weighs one pound.
While your mac is draining in your over-sized collander, make a white sauce in same pan you boiled mac in. I start by melting one cube of real butter in the pan on med/low heat. I use Land O Lakes salted butter. I add flour until a paste is formed and then add milk until smooth. I continue to add milk and flour alternating, beating it smooth, stirring constantly and turning up the heat as I go. When the mixture starts to bubble, I start adding the cheese and some more milk as needed. You want the sauce to be just thick enough and hot enough, without actually boiling or you are going to have a nice rubbery yellow thing that is not going to adhere to those noodles--so watch your heat.

Next comes the seasonings; Since both my kids think onions should come with a 21 or older warning, I have to use onion powder. Never mind that I can dice onions so paper thin they pretty much vanish, they would find them and nothing ruins my appetite more than watching my teens discreetly spitting into their dinner napkins. So I add onion and garlic powder to the mixture and remove it from heat, quickly adding a regular (not small or large) sized container or Umpqua Dairy (BIG hint!) sour cream to the mixture. I have by then placed my drained noodles in a large bowl so I can mix the sauce in real good and have eaten a half bag of Lay's potato chips so I have the correct amount to crush for my topping, which is a half bag. **A hint for those of you potato chip challenged; to crush chips, simply fold over ends of bag and use your rolling pin to roll over several times, no need to waste wax paper, their bag works just fine.

I then take the contents of the bowl and pour it into one of my largest casserole dishes that I have pam-sprayed. I cover it with the chips and bake in my pre-heated oven at 375 for about 25 min or until chips catch on fire. Just kidding, don't let that happen. They taste pretty bad burnt. Does not take long to bake because everything is pretty much done when you assemble. Good luck.

I got 2 bottles, and I'm on the second bottle. I only lost 5 pounds from the first bottle. During the time I took the first bottle, I felt sick on the stomach alot through the whole first month.7 on and 7 days off,4 pills 30 minuets before breakfast and 4 pills 30 min., before dinner, my stomach hurt if I didn't eat an hour after taking the pills. The only reason I'm taking the second bottle is cause I paid for them, although I wanted to throw them in the trash. Although, I did use the bathroom every morning, sometimes twice when I first started on the pills, but then it was once a day on the second week on the pills. I,m not taking any more pills for weight lose. For me, I'm going to develope some will power.

I dislike taking any kind of pills, and with the detox, it was 4 pills 30 min, b4 breakfast , and 4 again 30min, b4 lunch, man was I glad when I had my 7 days off. That to me was the best part of the diet. To rest from those 8 big pills for 7 days. At first I lost 5 pounds, then I gained it back, this detox diet has been like a yoyo for me, gain, loose, not good fore the price I put out for the 2 bottles. I'm now on the second bottle and I hate that I bought 2 bottles. Everyones body is different though, the only side effect that I had was a hurting stomach, other then that I didn't since anything else that was strange. I am gonna continual to take up the second bottle though, since I put money into it, don't want to throw my money away. Maybe, I hope, I'll lose 5 more pounds, I don't know, it works well for some and not so well for others. Sometimes I think it could be who you're buying them from off the net, coz that's were I got mines from. Kindda scarry ya know.

It cost me 107. plus, with shipping and handling, for 2 bottles.
I have 2 things to report of taking a 1 month supply.
First the good... I lost 5 pounds on the detox of 7 on and 7 off,
I used the bathroom for the first week twice aday and once a day on
the second week.I experienced some energy, not a lot, this is the good part
about using 1 bottle.
Now the bad things I experienced while on these pills.
My stomach hurt a lot,I felt bloted I stayed hungery a lot, I gained back the
5 pounds I lost. One week I lost 5 and the next week it was back.
I developed some acne right between the eyes.
I've been on the second bottle now for 7 days, I'm now doing the 7 days off.
I'm gonna do fruits and veggies while I'm resting from the pills.
I mean, I don't get it, I'd like to know what are we doing wrong with this diet unless our bodies are just that different.
How come some people loose 14 pounds as suggested and there's some of us who only loose 2,4 and 5 then we some how gain it back.
I've been eating 3 good (healthy) meals a day, no fried greasy stuff.

anonymous, try eating 5-6 small meals per day, i usually recomend 200-300 calories every 2-3 hours, thats a basic guidline, some people need more very few need less. make sure to have a lean protien and a complex carb at every meal, make good choises when u can and when you cant, keep your portions small. Recomended reading: " the eat clean diet" and "eat this not that". I think this product can aid in weight loss, dont think there is a cure all outside of a clean diet and exercise, and whatever you do you have to do it forever. like i said before, this is what i do for a living. i eat this way, and every client that i have who follows this has had possitive results. i'm on my second bottle and i can tell that my clothes are fitting better. i had just a few pounds to lose but i'm a drinker (i've cut way back on that too. Dont judge, we all have our vises) if i had an excessive amount to lose, i would have to cut it out completely but i'm not there yet. i think, if i'm still seeing possitive results when i'm done with this bottle, i will feel comfortabe recomending this product to my clients as an aid to thier diet and exercise program but not as a substitute. good luck everyone. this is one of the toughest battle we fight, but you're worth it.

Hi. I finished my 7th day of the first cycle yesterday.
Well, the 2lb I lost was back again and here I am, just as same as before.
The thing is my monthly/// has started yesterday. I get bloated every month
before this period, so I can't blame OD or myself for this.
I used to lose about 1lb after 5 day of this every month, but last month the weight just
stayed. I really do not want that happen this month and thought of trying OD
without 7 day rest, but it is a hard time to lose weight anyways, I will take 7 day off
as instructed on the bottle.

The first cycle of OD had no good or bad effect on me.
I really need to lose 10lb which I gained in these past 12 months, and now I'm desparate.
By the way, I exercize (cardio) for 45 min. every morning.
I have two small kids to take care of, so I'm not a couch potato.
I seldom eat greasy food or go to McDonald's.
I eat lots of vegetable.
I love baking, but I'm cutting it out of my life for now for diet.
Maybe I eat dried food too much...
The cardio I've been doing for months is the famous one that says lost up to 10lb
in 10 days. I sweat a lot, too.
It's a hard work but not making me thinner, but I still love this exercize a lot
so I'm still doing it every day.
Now I don't know what to do. Hope my 2nd cycle will have some effect.

Hello Everyone

Hope all the diets are going well, I still haven't started yet. I've been on the fat roller coaster for too long; Gain 50, work like hell to lose it, feel great for a year, then slowly let it creep back on. Before I know it...fat again! Time to start all over again, I guess.

To Biotch Hunter;

Thanks for the recipe, sounds great. I'll let you know how my family likes it (and friends, neighbors, co-workers, people off the street...) ha ha

We couldn't be much farther apart and still be in the same country. I too live in a northern coastal state, but on the other ocean. I've been to a town just north of you. What a beautiful part of the country you live in!

I am 38, 5'4" & I have about 10 pounds to remove from my muffin-toppers...who else in my situation has tried this stuff? IS it water weight? Poop weight that will just sneak back up on me if I stop taking it? I'm talking about either the original or the Xtreme. Am I going to turn into an agitated B-word to my kids taking either? Thanks & heeeeeelp!

As my first post, I will be fairly thorough. I am 33, 5'8" and currently 195, with an almost-eleen month old child to chase after.

I am on day 3 of Orovo Detox. I started day one Sunday taking 2 pills AM and 2 in afternoon. I was 195 with 42% Body Fat.. Day two I took 3 each time. I intend to stay at 3 because I feel it's kick starting my metabolism, and I am a conservative person by nature... I can feel it, but not to the extent that I have jitters. Just that I have extra energy and actually LOOK for more things to do... for me, that's just crazy-talk.

I will say that today I am at 195 still, but at 40% body fat. I worked in my yard a little over the weekend. About two weeks before I started taking Orovo, I started walking to work and back (1.3 miles each way) on M,W,F and on T,TH doing heavy cardio for one hour in the evenings at a "boot-y camp", so I'm not changing what I am doing in the hopes that Orovo works, I am adding Orovo to an already changing lifestyle in the hopes that it HELPS.. there's a big difference there, people.

I have noticed in the last few Orova days that I am feeling better emotionally, and I'm not a depressive person, just a little bitchy sometimes(as my DH says). I have also noticed a definite supressant-type feeling with foods... and I LIKE food. I have not had any un-necessary urges to run to the potty, and have not had nausea or problems sleeping. I have been making every effort to take my last "doses" before 2pm. I also have not been real strict about taking the pills 1/2 hour before I eat. Sometimes it's as soon as right before.

I'll update you all after Friday (aka after my full 7 days on)

.....and I love biotech hunter's posts!!!!!! I feel like she is my alter ego.

(forgive any typos, etc as I am doing this 5 minutes before I walk out the door and not re-reading for errors)

HI ALL! I wanted to share my experience with orovo detox. I first got this over a week ago and started out with 2 pills 1st day, 3 pills 2nd day, 4 pills third day. I lost 14 pounds this first week. I did not feel hungrey as I usually am. I am trying to count calories as I take pills. I have a lot more energy and I am not binge eating as I usually do. My interest in food decreased a lot. I also work out 45min to 1 hr 2x a week in addition to taking care of my house, 3 children and full time job.
one day during this week I could not take the pills and ate fast food which ofcourse put on 2 pounds. my point is this is a good suppliment to take to start you off on the right track and once you start loosing and seeing the pounds come off its exciting to stick with dieting. you have to watch what you are eating. the first 8-10 pounds are water weight but to loose 4-6 actual pounds while watching what you eat in a week is a miracle. i try to stick to diets but the weight loss is so small to none so i never stick to it.good luck all. I decided i will use the pills every day and not stop in the middle so i am taking now 2 pills before breakfast and 2 before lunch every day. i will let you know how i do. the frequent bathroom trips stopped after the first few days. but the energy is there. I need to loose 100 pounds at least so wish me luck and will power.

I sure hope this works for me. My will power is so weak and I hope that I can get motivated if I see the scales going down - even if it's only water weight! I hope today is the start of something great for me. I'll report back here later for "accountablity".

Girly Mom - Okay, way TMI, but in terms of *poop* weight, I had an intestinal blockage about 3 months ago and had to do a system flush (pretty as it sounds) and get a lower GI done. I literally lost 12 pounds in a 48 hour period. Freaky. Anyway, about half of that came back once my system returned to normal, but I don't think having a cleaned out system is a bad thing (just my opinion).

Happy to be back on the detox this week if only for the motivational kick in the pants.

What does everyone think about the Extreme version?? Anybody taking it??

amberlee, you are the reason i do what i do. obviously you are not over weight, or if you are its not by much, however that doesnt matter if you are not happy with yourself. There is not gonna be a miricle pill that will make you happy with your body. I still am not sure what this product can do as far as weight loss, if it is what it claims to be then it will help your body to rid itself of the toxins that you have put into it through normal diet and normal activity and will in turn help your body to function as it was ment to. which means that if you eat like you should and exercise regularly you should be able to achive a body that you are comfortable with. that said if the body that you were born with was blessed/cursed with large breast then you're probably gonna have large breast, and if that body was blessed/cursed with large thighs then you're probably gonna have large thighs. check out the people in your family that have the same body type as you. Are any of them in good shape? If so then thats the body that you should hope for. If not then you can set the bar for the next generation. i still dont have enough information to suggest that my clients take this product, but i haven't read anything to say that it would hurt them to try it. It seems to be helping some people, you and your parents should make that call. whether you try OD or not, you should learn what a healthy diet consist of and find some sort of regular strength training and cardiovascular excersis that you would enjoy and make time for it. it is so much easier at you age for your body to adapt to healthier changes than to wait till you're older. Make changes now. i would be happy to help you if you have questions. I want to share a story of one of my clients. when she started training with me she was 17 years old and weighed 225 pounds and wouldnt even look me in the eye. she worked out with me twice a week for 1 year and lost 80 pounds. the thing about her that was different than a lot of my clients is that she did every thing i told her to do. when she wasnt strength training with me, she was doing cardio on her own and eating 5-6 small meals a day. every month she would come to the gym and pick up a dumbbell that was equivilent to the amount of weight she had lost. it was amazing to me to watch the transformation from that girl who wouldnt look me in the face the the young women she is now. she is off in college, madly in love and happy. i love my job, but it can be discouraging sometimes when people wont do anything except what they do when you're right there. no trainer can do it all for you. people like her make you remember why you do it. i dont have to work, my husband makes a good living. i do it for people who need help, people who feel bad about themselves and people who are unhealthy who need some help. i wish all of the people on this site good luck and i hope all of you know that if your goals are reasonalble, they can be achieved. dont give up.

Hi all. I am glad I found this site. I just started taking Orovo Detox on Sunday and I weighed myself this morning and I have lost 3lbs, of course, that is probably just the all the poop. It's the only side effect I've had but is tolerable and it isn't with every dose, so it could be just me. I also pee alot, but should subside after my body gets used to all the water. I have quit drinking pop and it's been a little over a week now. Anyway, I think I have had a little more energy than usual, now if I could just start working out. I just bought a wii and the wiifit off ebay and am waiting to get it. So what other Orovo products have you guys tried?

BTW I am 31, 5'3" and 168lbs, will now 165lbs, I am not counting 2 of them since the first weight is with jeans and shoes, so I am assuming I lost about 3lbs, but 5 does sound better:). I have that damn "baby weight" my oldest is 4 and youngest is 15months and most of the weight I have is from the first.

Hi all, i am on my first off day after 7 days on and it went incredibly well, lost about 6 lbs! no side effect, i even take my routine siesta with my babies at 1pm, an hour after takeing 2nd dose.
My question is this, has anyone had headaches on the off week from no caffeine? I contemplated having coffee, but i am just not interested, weird huh! So after getting super grumpy this morning, i brewed some Green Tea, which made more sense to me. I'll keep you posted, I am excited...for next week. Any advice o for this off week would be awesome...Thanks.

Barbiegirl—thanks for the generous comment. Many people on this site have been inspirational to me as well, and I hope they keep posting. Max and Ziozen, are you still out there?

Amberlee, In answer to your question, I jumped on the scales this morning and even without the Orovo, which I have not taken for quite some time, I still have managed to keep eight pounds off. I know this does not seem like much, but I am guessing it was not water weight since it has been several weeks/months since my last week on Orovo. I have some left and after the Allegra, which I will be off in a week, I am going back on what I have left to see if I lose again.

When I was younger I had that nasty little visual aid tool that your gran and mom used on you pinned on me, too. People must not think Thunder Thighs is a bad thing to call someone. Anytime a guy would utter those words to me, I would get real close to him and say, “Yeah—and they are really good for cracking nuts—wanna see?”

Some other nick names I weathered early on were Chester, on account of my double D status in high school (my boobs, not my grades) and Prudence, on account of my not letting anyone touch my double D’s in high school. There were probably a few more that I have forgotten over time. The two earliest I remember were Southpaw, because I was left-handed, and Tow-head because I was blond. What the hay does toe-head or tow-head mean? I used to imagine a big toe protruding from my little blond head every time someone called me that. Oh—and that—my hair color. Blond jokes are not funny. Okay, well some of them are, but it’s a wonder I have any self-esteem at all.

About those thighs; when I was your age, I would stand in front of the mirror and wonder how I could have such teeny tiny ankles and calves and then right past my knees, KA-BOOM! I was maybe a size 3, probably smaller, but those thighs never left me and I worried just like you are worried now.

Well—I have some good news. Over the years, lots of me has changed, but you could ask anyone what the most attractive part of me is and they would tell you, it is my legs. Those thunder thighs have remained pretty strong and I do not have the cellulite there that some of my skinnier friends do. So celebrate those thighs. They might not be such a bad asset in the long haul.

In the future if anyone calls you Thunder Thighs, be proud. Look them right in the eyes and state; “I would rather have Thunder than Jello or cottage cheese—howyoudoing?” After they are done feeling bad about themselves much in the same way they have made you feel bad in the past, you might want to alleviate their pain by stating this next fact;

None of us humans are perfect, that is what defines us as humans and makes us each unique. If we thought of our differences as character instead of flaws, all the Botox, implants and other things that could make us look like Joan Rivers would go away and we would all be much happier with ourselves.

Parents often wonder how things like Anorexia and binge eating and all those other little problems could happen to their bright intelligent son or daughter. H-E-L-L-O?

Amberlee, I bet you are a beautiful, healthy, active person that probably doesn’t need the Orovo—or at least not to lose weight, because it sounds like you are already doing the right things. I will tell you this though; I found out a long time ago that running and sports like soccer, actually increased the mass of my thighs where things like leg lifts, squats, dancing, swimming and walking kept them basically the same, but toned. Another added benefit, I was darn good at leg wrestling as a teen and could pretty much flip my opponent over like he was a wimpy girl.

Great job hotmom. You have me all excited about this now. I should be getting my order tomorrow and I cant wait to start. I am 5'9 and need to lose 15 pounds or buy a new wardrobe cuz what I have is getting a bit snug on the butt (the weight just snuck up on me practically overnight). I am going into this with the same enthusiasm as you have...woohoo. I am looking forward to the added energy as well.... maybe I will get that spring cleaning done this weekend.

kakogab, it is true that on my dads side of the family everyone is a little heavier in the thigh area, i am pretty much cursed with big thighs but i want to continue to try different things to maybe possibly break that curse... (i mean i know its possible ive seen my legs skinny once! but that only because i was drepressed and had absoultly no appetite and im not about to become anorexic) as far as the people you say dont do what you tell them to do outside of the time you spend with them, for me its hard to get really motivated with out some one doing it with me, im the kind of girl that need support in everything i do, i know if someone tells me "c-mon lets go work out" i'd jump right too it, but otherwise, not very likely unfortunatly.. in other words, i dont like being a loner :(

Biotch Hunter, girl i wish i had your confidence, its just hard living in a house with a mom that weighs less than you and most of her weight is her boobs!(witch i have none of haha) she always naggs me to do something about my legs, i dont think i have had a conversation with her in the past couple of years that my legs havn't come up, infact the only reason i was researching orovo was because one of my moms friends said its a merical pill.. and she insisted that i needed it. about the thunder thighs i know i shouldn't let what other people say or think affect me, but it so does i cant help it.. i mean.. i know im not really over weight, i just feel i could look better.. but i have kind of lost hope for that

What can I say, I'm Italian. Just to let some know I ordered my Orovo from Orovodirect.com, you don't have to join anything, the price seemed reasonable and the order came pretty fast. Everyones input is the reason I decide to try this product. We will see how it goes.

amberlee, you can have smaller thighs no doubt, that just may be the first place you gain and the last place you lose. i simply ment that so many people have an unrealistic picture in their mind of how they want to look and even if they had no body fat at all thats not the body they were born with. just be sure you are picturing your body type lean and fit and not not some 6' model with legs to her arm pits. (unless of corse that is your body type). as for as being motivated to exercise, thats tough, if you hate it then you hate it. you can achive your goals without it. i hate saying that cause i do believe that it is so important to your health and your weight loss goals. being so young, you are probably constantly being tempted with unhealthy, high calorie, high fat food. i have two teenaged daughters in my house and its a constant battle to keep them eating healthy. so i say eat good food when you can, it should be more often that not, and when you cant/wont watch your portions. your stomach should be about the size of your fist. try not to eat more than that at a time. i know it doesnt sound like much but if you're eating every 2-3 hours, it will be enough. if you are used to eating huge portions, then cut back gradually. say you usually eat a sandwich and chips for lunch. try eating half the sandwich and a reasonable amount of chips, then in about 2 hours, eat the other half of the sandwich with no chips. you should be eating 5-6 times a day. (small portions) get the book "eat this not that" it will help you to make better choices, and help you to realized just how much fat and calories you are actually eating. keep in mind that if you do it without exercise, you may not look the way you thought and it will take longer, but it can be done, i just dont recomend it. it would be better if you could find a group of people who are active or join a class, something that will motivate you. there is so much out there. look around, see if you could find a zoomba(sp ?) or cardio kick boxing class to join. the girls your age around here are loving the zoomba class. just a word about your mom. i in no way agree with her calling you thunder thighs or any other teasing about anything that you're self conscious about, but i would like to offer another point of view. like i said i have 2 daughters, one is built like my side of the family, very muscular, lean and is constantly bouncing off the walls. the other, built like her dads family, is a couch potato, and carries extra weight. it is really hard for me to be smaller than my daughter. she doesnt seem to be bothered by it, but her friends are constantly making comments about me and the way that i look. its hard, especially for me because i help people get in shape and lose weight for a living. i want to help her so bad, but i know it has to be her choice, so i put good food in front of her and i encourage her to be active but i dont push and i never make fun of her. she is so beatiful and i make sure she knows it. just try to see that it may be a little hard for your mom too. my own mother told me that it wasn't right for the mom to out shine the daughter. that made me feel great. what do i do with that.
sorry this is so long, i'm just very passionate about my job and helping people like you is why i love it. you can change your body. make sure your goals are realistic and healthy and dont give up. if you eat like crap for a weekend for whatever reason, then start again the next day. better yet dont give up a whole day. if you have a bad meal or two, you dont have to scrap the whole day, just start where you are. good luck to you. you can do this.

Hi Lady T--you are too nice, but thanks! When I was on my off week--I was a bit grumpy, too. I told little sis I thought I was PMSing or maybe going through a bit of a withdraw for the detox, couldn't decide. She figured it was "the change". She is constantly on the look-out for signs that it has arrived. I think she thinks I am going to get all sappy and nice when I lose my hormones. I-don't-think-so! Anyway--hope your week improves.

alirae22--best of luck to you!

kakogab,
You are AWESOME! I just read your post to Amberlee and I know what you mean about how different our teens can be. My daughters had their prom date shots taken together this year. When we got the photos back, they both doubled over in laughter over one of the shots. It shows them with their dates standing on a stage and my youngest and her date look like giants compared to my eldest and her date. Of course what started as giggling soon turned into an argument about Godzilla, bigfoots, shrimps and runts and how the elf was going to get a butt kicking and such. The 'teeny one' makes up for her size with her fast paced comebacks and speedy retreats if needed. Luckily, my statuesque daughter has the same mean thing going on inside her that I do--so no matter what gigantic mean things Thumbelina has to say, it usually doesn't get past her sister's feelers. The tall one is 14 and the tiny one is 17, so things are probably never going to 'even up' but they are both comfortable with who they are. One good thing; they can't wear each others jeans (3 & 11)or shoes (6.5 & 10) so less arguments about that type of stuff, although they do fit each others tops pretty nicely. They both were blessed or cursed with my bigguns, so we will see if they still think that's cool when they get to be about my age.

I want to state here that I absolutely never refer to them as I have here with names like Thumbelina, Giant, teeny, etc. This is strictly as a visual--one is beautifully tiny and one is gloriously tall. I love them both just the way they are.

Anyway--thanks so much for all the great info, especially the part about our stomachs being the size of our fist and how we should only eat an amount of food that size at one sitting. I was sort of feeling sorry for myself, thinking, gee, my fist isn't all that big, but then I put it into perspective. Try shoving your fist in your mouth. Didn't work for me and I have a pretty big mouth, so it is obviously more food then the few bitefuls it appears to be.

biothch hunter, girl, you would be surprised at how much food you can cram into a 1 cup sized measuring cup. my cousin used to use that as her guide. she would fill that thing up every couple of hours and that would be her meal. most of our meals will be a bit bigger that our fist thats just a good way to see how much more we are eating that we need. i think if we were supposed to be eating those ginormous portions that we are served while eating out, then God would have created us with bigger stomachs. of corse, we know best, if God didn't give us enough room, we'll continue to cram stuff into it until we can eat that whole plate of food. i hope you can see what an inspiration you are to most of the readers of this post. you can never stop commenting, (sorry) as you know this is one of the hardest battles to fight. its not like you can avoid food, like you can alchohol, gambleing or most of our other demons. every little bit of encouragement helps. i hope you can keep it up. by the way, my thirteen year old wears my 16 year olds and my shirts and shoes, my sixteen year old wears my shoes and my pants. so i have no clothes of my own. i have to hunt down everything i own before i can wear it and its usually in someones floor under a bunch of other crap, hehe. i guess one of these days we're all going to get sick of knowing exactly where everything is cause its right where we left it and wish those damn kids were still liveing at home, ha. (you know i say that will love)

just want to say that i'm not a self rightous person, i hope that i dont come across that way. this is just something that im passionate about and i spend most of my spare time (whatever that is) trying to learn ways to help people with it. i think the key is to learn to see food as fuel, its not the enemy, we have to have it. most of us tend to eat more for pleasure. thats where we get into trouble. i know, i know, everyone knows that already. ill shut up now.
